Way to go Riley!!! Now it's your turn Garrett

We've had a busy day. The garage is cleaned though I still need to return a truckload of cans and bottles. I'll get to it this week. I'm feeling better and I've already fed the family dinner. I also got a few shirts made. I haven't bought any blank shirts for myself yet, that's on my to do list. Here are pictures of the finished outfits.

I think they came out pretty well. I just wish the Navy was a bit darker on Nick's shirt. It looked almost black on the screen, but didn't print that dark :confused3 It still looks good though.

Deb

Only one word - WOW!

So my oldest is on her way to prom.....she looked beautiful....and I took a ton of pics...I said you know why....she said "Yup the ladies!!". I said all of the DDA Aunties want to see you.

They were a cute couple and I am looking for the connectors so I can download for you!!

I want pictures! Haven't you found those cables yet? :rotfl: You must be as organized as I am. :lmao: I can't wait to see. When you post them send me a pm so I can make sure to come and take a peek.

Good morning DDA!

They are like my second parents that I'm visiting - Dave and Pam - and are celebrating 100! Dave's 60th birthday and their 40th wedding celebration! Plus Mom is out near Vegas too, so this will be the first time we will have seen her new house. And we are going to go see the new Cirque show that is based around the Beatles. Staying in a cheap room at the Imperial Palace, but the package includes food and show tickets. I'm also excited to see their blackjack tables - I don't play, but the dealers are dressed up as famous people - so Elvis, Cher, or Sammy Davis is dealing you cards for example. From what I've heard, they make it really fun!
Sounds like alot of fun!

So I got an A in my class.:yay: :yay: :yay:  I guess all the BSing and stress was worth it.:rotfl2: I don't think I learned a darn thing.:rolleyes1
Great news!!! Congrats!!!!!!!!!!:yay:

Well, my oldest son called me today and said that they had put in a bid on a house. I was not aware they had been seriously looking but he said they put in a counter offer and were waiting for an answer. He also asked me if I would be able to help watch the boys so they could get their place ready and of course I said yes.
well,,,,,they got the house!!! :woohoo: :woohoo:   :cool1: :cool1: :dance3: :cheer2: :dance3: :woohoo:

Very nice! Congratulations!!!!!!!!

Shopping! YAY! is right!! I had a BALL today. I had 4 sales people plus both daughters helping me at Coldwater Creek for about 2 hours. I did not buy as much as I had wanted, but I did pretty well. :rolleyes1

One reason I needed quite a few new things is that this past week I hit the 100 pound milestone of weight lost. There was a sales clerk there who had gastric bypass surgery who has lost 190 pounds! :thumbsup2 We had so much fun picking out things that she understood would fit and flatter the figure I have now, which is a lot smaller, but a lot less "firm." Let's say those leftover traveler's cheques from the December trip certainly came in handy today!

Wow!:) You have done great Elin!!!! Congratulations to you!!

Good morning, DDA!:)

Deb - the boys look so grown up in their school pictures! Wow! How handsome they are. :)

Great photos, Deb! Everybody is growing up!

Jen :woohoo: for the graduation tickets.

Yay! Graduation is coming!! Then DISNEY!!

Nothing exciting going on here. DS is finishing up breakfast. I bought all of those groceries yesterday, then I realized that DH & DS will be on that camping trip this week. I will have to remind DH to freeze the stuff we won't eat before they leave because I won't cook while they are gone. (Ha ha! I never cook AT ALL!):rotfl:

We are a little worried about Amanda. She is moving pretty slow, and she has lost more weight. DH doesn't think she is eating the new food - she preferred the kitten food. The kitten food is bad for her kidneys, but not eating is bad, too! We'll have to watch her and see how she does this week.:guilty:

Janet,
Garrett is getting so big. I like the pose. Beautiful picture!:thumbsup2

Deb,
How cool is that? I love the men in their matching custom-made shirts with the shorts! Looks like it came from a store. I bet you have alot of people asking you where you bought them.
The school pictures are so cute. They are all so handsome!

I am also getting a little skittish about what will happen if I don't have a new job by the time we leave on August 15. We can scale back our tickets to 6 day base if we need to - much cheaper than 3 adult APs! And if push comes to shove I can try to downgrade our resort. I won't cancel the trip, but I am definitely looking at ways to drive the costs down in case I am looking at unemployment after the trip. I would rather have a back-up plan and not need it than need one and not have it!

Smart woman! Always best to have a plan that you don't need! Much less stressful in the long run. Here's some :tink: from Tink herself that you don't need the plan.

We had a very busy weekend so I haven't had a chance to full catch up..

Hi & :wizard: to everyone!

Have a great day!

Depending on traffic, it is about 30 minutes away.

That sounds like a perfect distance. Far enough away that you aren't a built in babysitter yet close enough that you can visit whenever you have time. :cool1:

Great pictures Deb! Your boys are such cuties :goodvibes I see the same company took our pictures :thumbsup2
I like that the company will take their pictures in the Spring for free. You only buy them if you like them. The company in the fall is a pay first company and they NEVER come out well. I don't even try anymore. One year Hunter's eyes weren't even open :sad2:

I really need to move out of the Northeast. It is 51º now, with a high of 69º expected, and 40 mph winds. :sad2:

Sounds better than here. We have temps in the high 40s and rain. We have had so much rain that the rivers have been flooding their banks off and on for weeks.

I want pictures! Haven't you found those cables yet? :rotfl: You must be as organized as I am. :lmao: I can't wait to see. When you post them send me a pm so I can make sure to come and take a peek.

That is why I buy computers with card readers built in :rotfl: :rotfl: I haven't managed to lose the computer yet :lmao:

Riley has urinary issues. We switched him to Friskies special diet about 10 years ago. They make a dry and a wet food. He really likes both and it isn't as expensive as the brands that the VET carries. We have had excellent luck with it as he hasn't had any repeat stones since we started using it. He does now have a nervous condition the mirrors the original symptoms. The difference is that the nervous condition doesn't require antibiotics or expensive procedures to correct. We just have to keep him happy

I'm caught up. Hunter is home today as he was up until midnight with a tummy ache. Everytime he laid down he felt like he was going to throw up so he'd run to the bathroom. Nothing happened but I knew he'd be exhausted today.

It is pouring here. Colby wants to ride his bike, but that's not in the cards. I want to work on laundry and try to come up with the designs that I want to use for more shirts. I have found so many that I really liked until I tried to match them up with outfits, then I'm not happy. For me it is like halloween costumes, I know that the design will just come to me when I least expect it, but we are down to 81 days people and I only have one outfit done. At least I found shirts for me so I can iron on the first design for me and get those into a handy dandy ziplock bag for safekeeping. I need to be at work today at 4 PM and I may end up waitressing for the first half of the night then switching to hostess for the last half as we're not sure how the regular hostesses knee will hold up. She has been out for 3 weeks with problems.

The boys have a mexican fiesta at 5 PM tomorrow night and I will call into work when it finishes to see if I need to relieve her then. This could be an interesting week. I made sure that I have sunday night off as it is the last week of the Amazing Race (at least I think it is  )

Thanks, Vicki!

Deb, how old is Riley? Amanda turned 16 in December. I don't think she has kidney stones. The vet said her kidneys just are not functioning properly anymore because she is so old. I did read something about dialysis for cats, but we won't go down that road. She has had a good life, and I can't imagine that going through dialysis would dramatically boost the quality of life she has remaining. She just hasn't been the same since we had Alexandria put down. Kind of weird - our friends had an ancient Yorkie that had multiple health issues. They had him put down, and within a couple of weeks their other dog went into kidney failure and he had to be put down, too. I wonder if grief (or the stress of losing their companion) causes kidney failure in animals?:confused3

I hope Hunter feels better soon!

Well, with one phone call (yes Kathrin is also a morning person!) my day has changed! I am headed to the shower to get ready to drive to Richmond for a day of shopping and lunch at a great mall... Short Pump Center. It has most of my favorite stores, including COLDWATER CREEK and Nordstrom's. :yay:

Hope you all have a great day! See you later on tonight. :goodvibes

I love Coldwater Creek but I have to catalog shop.

I lost my cable on our trip to Disney in December so I bought a USB universal card reader. That has worked out really nice. Hopefully, I won't lose that. I really would like to buy a cable for my camera but it isn't a standard one so I'll have to buy it online and I haven't looked yet.

Thanks, Vicki!

Riley is almost 15 years old now. He had most of his issues when he was 3 or 4. He started with the nervous issues when our dogs were really sick. I'm sure he sensed what was going on. One of the reasons that we had both dogs put down at once was because we anticipated that if we only had Tuffy put down that Tiffany would be lost without him. Since she was already suffering from serious health issues we couldn't see what good could come of it. At that point Riley was struggling too, but he came out of it a month or so later. I guess the stress was reduced. He always has flare ups around our trips. I think he sees the luggage and begins to stress. I've got him beat this time though. I've already got two empty suitcases on the floor of my room, I figure he'll get used to them and not stress so badly. We still haven't decided what to do with him while we are away. I'm sure he will stay here as that is the least stressful for him, I will probably have someone stay here with him.

Elizabeth - I hope you got to go to the zoo and grill out!

100 pounds! Wow! You are an inspiration to the rest of of us.

Thanks Deb for starting the weight loss thread last year and thanks to Kate for starting the update thread. I'm getting serious again about working on taking the pounds I added back off and continuing to lose more. I'm still down at least 15 pounds from where I started last year.
