We go to my aunts on my dads side thurs. for lunch
then we will go to my mil for dinner

Oh I have a story about that!!! I had just moved to Philly and I was hosting T day. Now I hate turkey, stuffing, gravy..ect. So, whenever anyone did I stayed out of the kitchen.

Ok, so I buy my turkey, a week before t day and pulled it out of the freezer the night before. So next morning..T-day and still frozen. Ok, no biggie, I sent DH to get a fresh one. I did the pan, did the rub on the turkey, stuck it in the oven. Everyone came my Uncle was carving and he hit something. No one told me to stick my hand up the Turkeys Butt and Pull out the insides!!!! Oh my.

So they ate what they could of the turkey and I made chicken for everyone. I have never hosted it since.

See you are braver than me--i would never have my entire family over for a major dinner like that--and no i have never cooked a turkey either!!!

My in-laws are coming over to our house for dinner They normally drive me crazy, as you come to learn my mil is a little out of touch with reality. I will need to you all to send your extra Prozac, Valium or whatever is handy so I can get through the day without choking anyone.

That is truely an OCM story.... and I can just picture it all happening.....................bet you'll remember to stick your hand in the turkeys patooty if you cook one again won't you?? That is a funny story....

i don't believe this............no one but me cooks???????



many a day each week i end up cooking three different meals.......the kids are spoiled.......if they don't like what's on the menu, i cook something else up.

tonight i made goulash, only one ate, then i had to do a steak on the grill, the third little piggy had no part of that and for him i made homemade mac and cheese and fish sticks....................which is now on the stupid cat who is hiding from me............



getting back to t day........i do a 19 pound turkey and many side dishes......
no one comes but the ones that live here.......both cats do not eat turkey though.

i start very early in the morning and then start doing their snacks around 7 at night. but i have a dishwasher and may use paper plates for the second meal on thursday. always buy a roast to fix on the day after turkey day as we don't want turkey that soon........
