tomorrow after work i will start to make pies. have to have one with dinner on wednesday as they can't wait until thursday for one.

i don't have any family up where i live so i don't have anyone to cook for me.

two years ago the hubby felt sorry for me and took us to the lodge on the lake michigan (two miles from the house about) and did the dinner buffet for thanksgiving day. very lovely, turkey, prime rib, ham, fish, and all side dishes.
wonderful dessert cart too.




we eat at 2/3 in the afternoon and get back home by 4 ish. at 8 that night, the kids are saying where's the turkey, how come i didn't get a doggy bag........no doggy bag at the place we were, not acceptable..........readers digest version....
drove the the grocery store at 8:15 bought a fresh turkey, and all the fixings to make up a feast and cooked a turkey meal the next day.................for their lunch.
thats the last time we went out for the holiday to eat.

mac, I've got to hit the hay too....got lots to do tomorrow.....I don't have your ability to start my day at 5....its just not in me to do that...................well, if I was going to WDW or a vacation it would be...but otherwise, I'm an ole sleepy head...so off I go...hope son is better...hope to catch you in the morning..sleep well...

mac your story of eating out sounds like something we would do...LOL...that is the only part of eating away from home, no leftovers...but MIL usually has us back on Saturday to finish up stuff...I work Friday, so no time for eating anyway..
