So, since we talked about what to use as far as anti-frizz goes on dry hair, what do you curly-haired friends use on hair when it's wet? Gel? mousse?
I've been using Tresemme Curl Boosting mousse, then the frizz control/smoother once it's dry, but I'm not sure this is the best I can get it. :confused3
Thanks from a newly curly-haired girl. (long story...) ;)

it was BA that was burned.......Ab is singing SingStar loudly right now and so far has not been injured......but that may changed if I hear "survivor" one more time! :rotfl:
 to BA
 to you for dealing with SingStar. :rotfl:
Hmmmmmm...Vicodin and vino? The two V's. Me's thinkin' that's not the best idea!
:rotfl2:

So lets see.... I've gone 1 full day, 2 to go. I think I can handle that. :worried:
Yes, you CAN handle it. You're a FOCKER, after all.
I talked to the surgery scheduling lady and I give up. Unless the doctor moves patients around, they can't change my date. I was scheduled a week ago and the first available now is 8/20, so I guess it's just busy. I can live with it right now. I'll call again if I think I'm going to pass out from pain.

So, I'm going to watch t.v. in my beddy-bye now. Night, all! :goodvibes
poor thing!

YES!!! We love Mr Diz!!!! Even my DH knows of the infamous Mr Diz!
:rotfl2:
My foot and now the bite on my arm are pretty swollen, I saw the pharmacist this morning and she said to keep taking antihistamines and using the cream, to ice it and elevate it and go to the Dr if it hasn't gone down in a few days, so I've got to rest

Ouch! All of the Fockers are having a lot of pain.

Mr Diz has to go see a surgeon next week. He is getting his gall bladder removed. He complained to the doctor in January, saying when he eats pizza or something greasy, he is getting a lot of pain in his side and can't sleep at night - even vomiting some. The doctor told him not to eat those foods anymore. It has gotten worse, so he went back. He had an ultrasound done and it showed that he has several gallstones. The Dr did not say how many, but Mr Diz said he saw at least 6 on the image when they were doing the ultrasound.

Oh no! Ouch! No more angry Troy dances until that's fixed, huh?

One of the new CDs my oldest got for her Bday has Bet On It on it, and we were laughing thinking of Mr. Diz's video.

We'll all be recovering together... :(

Good Morning all. Jimmy went back to school today :woohoo:
How many more days?

WOW.. SOMEONE MISSES ME
Of course

I am just blue because I am going on vacation.. :confused3
So I have just been quiet.
You know we're here if you want to chat :goodvibes

No bets for me Janet... I started to make a wager yesterday.. but changed my mind and now my date is gone.
I just chose a day that hadn't been taken :rotfl2:

Jo- Take care of yourself!:worried:
Dawn it's nothing compared to you

The boys have decided to sort their legos. A massive undertaking to say the least. Thousands of pieces of plastic are on the playroom floor awaiting segregation by shape. It should take about a month:rotfl2: And I will just have to continue to look away. ::yes:: It the kind of mess that will make me crazy soon.
Just shape or colour too? :rotfl:

That sounds awful. Are you sure it isn't a spider bite?
Definitely not, luckily our spiders don't bite over here, OMG does that mean yours do  :rotfl2:

guess who forgot to water her flowers for her?
Whoops, will they recooperate?

Jo, keep an eye on them - any sign of red moving away from the bite site could spell infection.
Will do, the ice really helped and the fact that I'm just sitting with my feet up, I can feel my bum growing larger by the second though :rotfl: Oh and the horsefly is only about the size of a normal bee, not as huge as the photo looks!

I also want to get some laundry done and I have to go back to the grocery store and pick up the bag they *forgot* to put in my cart yesterday! Grr...
Think of it as more exercise though Mel :thumbsup2

Thanks from a newly curly-haired girl. (long story...) ;)
Oooh sounds like we need a photo :thumbsup2

Can you pass gall stones like kidney stones? I know it's painful but better than surgery???

Janet - I'll wager 20 points for the 19th.

I don't know, but he has several and I believe too large to pass. The surgery isn't supposed to be a big deal. My dad got his out last year on a Friday and said he went bowling on Tuesday.

The thing Mr Diz is complaining about is his job went to a Paid Time Off bank of days, instead of having sick days. He gets 18 days a year he can miss, which is both sick days and vacation days and he doesn't want to use any of the days for sick days.

Nah. There's nothing to compare it to. Before I had A & C, I had a flippy do that was shorter. Then I cut it super short spikey (see pic in my long-forgotten TR). I stopped cutting it last March ('07) and it's to my shoulders now, but curly. I guess it's the hormones from having kids? :confused3 I've never had curly hair before and I'm really liking it. But it's a little fuzzy on these hot, humid South Texas days. :(

BTW- Our bums can grow larger together... :lmao:

That's how K's is too. I agree- could they do it on a Friday? :confused3

If he does need an op could he ask for a Friday op so he'd miss less work?

That's how K's is too. I agree- could they do it on a Friday? :confused3

He wants to have them do it on Friday, or ona THursday and "work from home" on Friday. I laughed at him and told him he should just schedule the op at 3:30 on Thursday, "work from home" on Friday so he won't miss any days. I was joking, but he thought I was being serious.

Janet- I'm confussed... nothing new, huh. What page are we trying to get to? Can more than one person bet on the same date?

Jo- Glad the swelling is going down, have you swelled like that from a horse fly before? That sounds like some serious horse fly swelling.

T- I wasn't trying to knock you off. Knowing the kinds of concoctions you go for when you have a cold, I knew you could handle it. ;)
:rotfl2:

Jo/Miz Diz- From my understanding you can NOT pass gall stones. Many doctors like to wait them out and see if your body with absorb then prior to surgery. If they don't and trouble worsen they operate. Here is the licker though... there are a few kinds of surgery... 1 gives you a recovery of literally 6-8 weeks, then other you are up and at um in a few days to a week.

Hope he can do the lapriscopic (sp?) surgery!

WOW.. SOMEONE MISSES ME

We all miss you Katt...besides, I need help keeping everyone in line Sheriff

It will get done Katt...and if not, it will get done when you get back::yes::

Got to take Sara to the Dr. this morning. Today is their first day of summer vacation and she has an ear infection. I was up a lot with her last night, had band rehersal last night and got back home late.

Hope she feels better. Did they give her an antibiotic?

Y'all be good.

Remember who you are talking about :rotfl2: :rotfl2:

How many more days?

USing FDM and not counting today or weekends, or our trip to the beach;) he has 11 days. HIs last day is June 27th. Really "school" is done on Friday with graduation. Camp starts Monday and he will be there until the 27th, but he is at the same place, with the same teachers, etc.

Janet - I'll wager 20 points for the 19th.

Bedroom is done, so I thought I'd check in before I start Jimmy's room. No wonder Jim and I were having allergy problems. The dust bunnies under the bed could have choked a horse:faint:

Will check back in later Fockers

Hey, Dr. Jen... What about me? My MIL keeps saying I'll be fine at one week after a abdominal hysterectomy (with removal of the ovaries). She's making me feel liek a big baby for wanting to have a few new nightgowns and putting things on hold for a few weeks. :furious:

Awhhhh Lego Messes! Look at the good side... They will be busy for hours and hours. :cool1:

The vinegar worked quite well and thanks to all who shared that with me. Talk soon everyone have a great day.
Did your house smell all vinegary? Did you put it in on bowl on the top shelf or try some other variation?

Today my DS is home again. Little one still had school but the HS doesn't have power yet! Thank goodness we have power at home... Today I am going to get on the treadmill (Jo :goodvibes ) hoping to do more than 30 mins if I can. I also want to get some laundry done and I have to go back to the grocery store and pick up the bag they *forgot* to put in my cart yesterday! Grr...
Will they have to add any days to his school year due to the power outage?

I hope this wasn't the same store that you bought the pork at. You may want to find a new one, if you can.

Okay- I'm going to go to brunch with my friend, and stop by Target to look for a dress for when people come by after the surgery. I don't want to be in my jammies with no bra on :scared1: when my MIL or SIL come by, so I'm looking for a sundress or two to hang out in. :thumbsup2
Catch you Fockers later! :goodvibes

Katt- You are going to WDW! Girl, that is probably what got me though last fall (when my mom passed). Trust me, it will all get done. What doesn't isn't meant to. Make your lists and take one thing at a time. :cool1:

Not so lucky for you. Unless things have changed, it is my understanding that they will have to cut through the abdominal muscles. Similar to a c-section recovery. You will be on the low down for a good 6 - 8 weeks. This being said, you will be able to move around and such. No lifting, driving for a good 2 weeks or fun with the hun.;) You basically will need to be super careful to not rip anything in there. :) Unless they have a better surgery offer out there. My good friends dad is a Gyno and travels the world teaching other gynogizers about non invasive surgeries. I'll ask him for ya.

BTW... guess where many Gynogizer fests are???? Any guesses girls??????

Thanks. I know I was told 3-4 days in the hospital and 4-6 weeks recovery. I want to do the abdominal even though I know they can *ahem* go through the "natural entry" because they need to blast off any endometriosis (and, trust me, I can feel there's a lot in there) that has formed on other organs. :(
My main thing is wondering how long until I can get up without help and sit up in a chair. I just wonder how long I'll need Kirt home helping with the kids. They are older (11, 7, & 5) so they can whelp each other stay entertained for the most part. Any ideas on that stuff? :confused3

Oh! And I guess Las Vegas! Am I right? Do I win a prize?

I have the Fructis that I use on my hair when it's wet.... to keep the curl (which I usually don't like to... but do sometimes) I use.. surprisingly enough, suave moouse (sp?) it keeps it smooth and curly at the same time... A coworker who has long curly gorgeous hair reccomended it and it works wonderfully... and doesn't make my hair feel stiff or sticky...HTH :)
