Yeah, one of them was on my way to visit you!
But you made it.
Of course they are! I made them!

Fair enough!
And definitely not on a hotel breakfast buffet. You need to try them in a place like this that specializes in comfort food!
Oh, I know. I would very much like to try that somewhere
other than a hotel cheapo buffet. Heck, just about
anywhere else.
Well thank you! You should see the sh** eating grin I have on my face daily now!
There should have been an adapter that plugs the car into chargers, but it wasn’t in the car.

That's pretty inexcusable, really.
the Bellman told her that
Amazon doesn’t work the same way on the islands as it does in the mainland. He said it could take days to arrive.
Not surprised by that.
I took pictures of the room.
Huge! And very nice.
Our room overlooked the lazy river.
Nice views!
I saw this Menehuene in the elevator.
You saw a
what now?
We were seated at a nice outdoor table. There was a duo playing Hawaiian style music.
Look at those smiles.
I got the Godzilla Roll with Spicy Ahi Tuna, crab, Avocado, Kabayaki, bang bang sauce, and crunchy tempura flake.
Yum!
Look at the cute mickey wasabi!
Thanks for pointing it out... would've missed it.
She got the Bacon Cheeseburger Sliders. They were tasty. She let me have half of one.
mmm... sliders...
This morning in Aulani I was able to go back to sleep and the next time that I woke up was at 5:45AM.
At least you got back to sleep...
this time.
The funny thing is that now that I have a girlfriend, I seem to have no problem sleeping through the night (with the occasional potty break). I don’t seem to wake up in the middle of the night, unable to fall back asleep!
I had to drink like five cups of the coffee because the cups were so darned small!

Fetch me another!
On the way there, we saw a mongoose in the bushes
No way! Cool!
We were seated at an outdoor table, and there was a rooster in the bushes keeping an eye on us.
I remember all the chickens running around.
These Myna birds with were hanging around waiting for the tables to become vacant.
Remember that too!
Jill ordered the Pineapple topped pancakes. She really enjoyed them.
Huh... pineapple you say? Never tried that. Might have to.
There were all sorts of syrups to use on them.
The snobby-syrup Canadian rears his head...
I got the Loco Moco, and let me just say, I have a new breakfast food love of my life! This was so tasty!
Oh, I
love Loco Moco. I had Googled the best place to have it and went there, just for that. Sooo good!
But
not something you'd want to eat every day!
I do have to say that I have found a place on the mainland that makes this. Not quite as good as Eggs & Things, but it will do in a pinch.
I've never seen it again. I have made it, however.

(Wasn't as good.)
the only solution was for us to go back to the airport and get an adapter from the rental agency.

They should've brought it out to you. Inexcusable.
If we left right then, and didn’t hit any traffic, we could make it to the airport and back before 1PM when we could visit the Hydro Therapy Garden at the Spa.

Nothing like being stressed out before a spa day.
So us and probably a thousand other folks were routed through single laned streets in Pearl City and the suburbs of Honolulu.
If you look through the windshield of the truck in front of us, you can see the line of cars waiting in line.
Ugh...
The attendant didn't even bat an eye and said, “I'll get one for you, just pull up to the front and wait there.”

Not even an apology...
Here’s what traffic on the H1 looked like going into Honolulu.
Yikes! I bet you were glad to be going in the opposite direction!
We made it back to the resort with 9 minutes to spare until our time in the Hydro Therapy Garden opened.
First you close your eyes and choose a stone from a basket. One side of the stone has your word in Hawaiian, the other side has your word in English. I got Harmony. I thought that was a good word for me.
Nice little touch.
This picture shows the hottest Tub (104°) and the cold plunge.
Guessing you didn't try the cold plunge?
There were people in there from Saskatchewan, and Michigan so they won for escaping the coldest temperatures
but Jill won for escaping the most snow.
This I have no doubt!
This was basically a massage under a Vichy Shower. If you've never heard of a Vichy Shower, here's what one looks like.
Did the shower heads move? Or were they stationary?
By the end I was so relaxed that I almost fell asleep.
ahhhhh...
Meanwhile Jill had a complete body scrub with a pineapple scented exfoliant. She commented to her therapist, “I smell like a Dole Whip.” as she went to shower off the scrub.
They had a cute little gift where they asked what Stone we drew at the beginning and they gave us “back” the stone in ground form of bath salts.
Like that.
you are allowed to bring meat on the islands as long as it originated in America.
Really! I'm surprised. Would've thought that'd be a no-no. Huh.
they came out perfectly medium rare.
Back in the room, we set the table with our feast.
Looks really good. I need a steak, now.
I woke up again at 2AM, which was almost six and a half hours after I went to sleep, but still too darned early to get up.
Go back to bed!!!
we didn't get to take a turn in the lazy river. By the time we got out of the spa, it was like “kid soup”,
Ew...
ate my leftover Loco moco. It was so good!
How could it not be.
Jill had bought these nifty water proof pouches for our phones.

I've used those.
a lot of kids didn't understand the “lazy” part of the lazy river.
Yeah... that's pretty common. They need an adults only lazy river... with cocktails...
They were swimming along without a floating device kicking up water and splashing around.
Ugh.
You look pretty relaxed and happy.
I got nailed by a few of the water features
So... were you annoyed by that? Or laughing?
This is a view of the snorkeling area, which we never made it to.
I remember that. (Although we only visited, didn't stay.)
Wow! It's really different now. When we visited, there was
nothing on the beach.
