Stuck on Haunted Mansion Right Now

We were stuck for 30 mins once on Nemo in the scene with the long screen and the turtles swimming. It was very loud and made my DD feel motion sick after about 15 mins of it. Every time we ride they do a stop at that point to let someone on or off, but no where near 30 mins worth. It was torture....lol. I can think of many other places I would rather be stuck.

we got stuck on POTC for over 30 min last April. I could now teach a college course on the pirate with the map and key with jack sparrow hiding in the barrel behind him. We were there so long, they finally cut the audio, but the animatronic figures still moved. . .it was a little unsettling.

I think we were stuck on the same ride at the same time, if it was near the end of the day on April 26(from the pics I took)

It was annoying as we needed to get to the fireworks and thought we might miss them.

It was our first time on that ride as the wait time was only 5 mins and we weren't impressed. My son will never go on that ride again. We do joke about it and it is a funny memory.

We did get free FP's (old paper ones) that we could use for anything but that was the last night of the trip so I just gave it away to someone...

When I went on Haunted Mansion yesterday, I ended up being evacuated from the ride around 10:30AM. I was given a fast pass that could be used at either Haunted Mansion, Philharmagic, Pirates, Jungle Cruise, Small World or Magic Carpets.

I was on it Saturday morning too! Got stuck the first time in the attic and then again at the entrance to the graveyard before the evacuation. That is one ride I don't mind getting stuck on and it was cool to walk through the graveyard with the lights on to get out:)

I've been stuck on IASW for about 20 minutes. That was horrible -- they kept playing the song for the entire time. I refused to ride it for years afterwards. Also, been stuck in the 2nd room of CoP -- got to hear the schpeel 4 times. That one was actually kinda fun -- we were inserting our own jokes (all 4 of us that were on it;)) I think the best was Space Mountain though. Got stuck at the beginning and we got to ride it all the way through with the lights on. It is much scarier when you can see where you're going!

Didn't know Haunted Mansion was running at 1:51am when the original poster made up this thread. Sorry, the detective is coming out in me. I thought that was strange. He/she posted at that time they were stuck on HM.:confused3:confused3

Could have been EMH?

We have been stuck on PotC right at the auction scene for about 10-15 min. On HM, every time we stop, it's in Madame Leota's room. The last time it was for a while, maybe 30 min. We have gotten stopped on Splash, just before going up the big drop, about 30 min. The funniest thing on Splash, the audio kept playing (very loud) and the CM's were trying to announce things, we couldn't understand anything! After the 5th or 6th time, everyone just starting laughing. They finally sent a CM to tell us they were fixing it and should be done soon.

My brother and sister in law got stuck on Pooh and had to be walked off, through the ride. She tried to take pics, but got yelled at!

I've been stuck on It's A Small World for 45 minutes. I love the song so I didn't mind but others on my boat were going crazy. They kept the song going and the dolls were moving but the boats were so backed up, we were 2 rooms back from the end and just sat there for so long.

We were stuck on The Little Mermaid ride for about 45 minutes too. It stopped about 5 times and eventually we got stuck in the Under the Sea section. I love this song but it's VERY annoying after it playing non stop for 25 minutes. The fish weren't moving but the song kept going... and going.... and going

This is my worst nightmare for a ride getting stuck. I don't usually have motion sickness problems, but that tunnel gets me every time, its the combination of the bubbles moving at a different speed than your vehicle and it feels claustrophobic to me. Every time it stops in that area for even a brief moment I hate it.

I actually like getting stuck on Haunted Mansion and it has happened quite a few times. Got stuck by the endless hallway one time for about 15 minutes. It was an extremely hot day outside and there was cool air blowing on us in that spot the whole time we were stuck. It was a wonderful break before we went back out into the heat. I also like getting stuck over the dining room. Gives an opportunity to catch some details.

We got stuck in the same place. It was creepy enough, but after a while we were FREEZING! Now I always carry a pashmina in my bag. BRRRR.

Been stuck in haunted mansion for 10 minutes. I think the spirits are looking for their 1000th soul. This is one of the best rides to be stuck on.

I totally agree! We were stuck near the end at the graveyard scene…just as you enter and are still going backwards! I loved it.

The whole family decides to go to Disney after years. Most of the kids hadn't even been, I went when I was a baby and again at five and was terrified of everything so I'm excited to go back and really see it.

POTC will be the best first ride ever, right? NO. Stuck on it for 45 mins next to the lightning and skeletons. The youngest kids in our group were traumatized :(

We did go out through the back and get to see the ride with lights all on which was cool.

I have been stuck on this ride multiple times. The one spot I hate to be stuck the most is at the very end. With Madem Leota saying "hurry baaaackk," worst spot ever! I like getting stuck in the graveyard scene, as I love the song that plays!

That's *exactly* the spot I was stuck at for about 20 minutes a couple years ago!

Got stuck this past January on POTC at the mermaid part. My sister now hates the "Jolly Sailer Bold" song.

The ride doesn't stop moving. So they have to stop it to let handicapped people into the cars.

That doesn't cause the ride to stop for 10+ minutes though. Those kind of stops are generally malfunctions or interruptions of some sort.

They were talking to us and making us laugh, I was in the front row and pretended to be scared / "get sick" and they said "please ignore the dramatic blonde in the front row".

:rotfl:

I'm feeling stupid... I've been on HM countless times, and I thought that Madam Leota was the floating disembodied head, and that the "Hurry baaaack" voice was from the bride who killed all of her husbands. Have I been wrong all of these years???????

DD and I have been stuck on Splash Mountain 3 separate times for about 25-30 min a piece.

The worst time was right at the bottom of the big hill lift. Right under those *$%^&*@ vultures. We were stuck for about 30min with the audio on the whole time. I just wish I could have shot those vultures to shut them up.

We were also stuck on Splash in the jumping water fountain/frog area. At least that part was fun to look at.

The 3rd area was in the Zip-A-Doo-Dah paddle boat area. That was also not so bad.

The only time I have been truly stuck on a ride (and had to be escorted off with the lights on) was on Space Mountain in Disneyland a few years ago. We were almost to the end of the ride and our vehicle stopped. The lights stayed off and the music/sound effects stayed on for about two minutes. In that time, my friend (who was sitting next to me) started having a panic attack because she was worried that the ride vehicle behind us might rear-end us (since we had no idea if everyone had stopped - even though the logical side of me was 99.9999% sure that Disney would have a fail-safe so that if one ride vehicle stopped, then all of them did).

Once the music turned off and the lights turned on, we were still told to wait in our ride vehicle until a CM came to walk us off the ride. We took lots of pictures with the lights on (it was cool!) and we got FP's good for any ride for the rest of the day.

We are the only 2 people who are correct! I agree with you! :goodvibes
