Resort Thread STAR WARS: GALACTIC STARCRUISER Official Information & Questions Thread

Has anyone who was told to call back actually gotten through?? Wondering if the “all circuits are busy” message is akin to taking that old landline off the hook LOL

Update: I had hold music the entire time after the screening call, but never heard an estimated wait time. 2.5 hours after calling in, it is DONE! We are booked for 2 adults in a standard cabin on the first sailing! It is showing in MyDisneyExperience already, even though I don't have a confirmation e-mail yet.
Now it's time to go to work and earn the money to pay the balance!
Congrats! Even though I’m not interested in entering this insane, seemingly futile, uber-expensive lottery…I’m low key jealous!!

Good info., but since I only had the "voucher", I never received an email with the unique code. The DW got the email, as her AP is active.
I’ve had an active AP since 2016 and didn’t get an email LOL
But when I was being verified, the CM did ask if I had an AP, if it was a new AP, and if I’d used it to enter a park yet before she even looked up my information. So I’m assuming that means it needs to be an active pass.

Update: Redial #91 finally got back through. Time is 10:36. Message said “longer than normal wait times” but no specific time was given.

Update: Message said wait time was greater than 45 minutes. Not terrible…

10:26 and I'm online with Tawanda -- !!
Now hoping for dates and rooms!
Hang in there
I'm a little confused, when you say online, do you mean DVC chat? I just got off DVC chat and was told I'd have to call. Maybe I'm misunderstanding- Good luck with your booking!

Hey, maybe this is my new strategy….maybe cover early retirement, kid’s college, etc….spend 8 hours and every point I’ve got to book DVC reservations, then RENT said reservations. Bet they’d fetch a king’s ransom! Would even be worth a Platinum membership! :jester:

...and the CM told me that they did not expect to have this many people calling from every which way. She said it has crashed the entire phone system for all reservations. She said social media from websites to twitter accounts made it seem like everyone with any AP could call and get thru to book Galactic Starcruiser. She also said that you do need a code to book and so many people are just tying up the system that it has been crazy.

Yeah... blame it on social media and not your marketing and PR departments' inability to communicate in a clear and timely manner...

Anyone else envision Chapek….like Scrooge McDuck….just sitting in his jammies pulling the lever on his mechanical calculator all day tabulating results ($$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$$) with a strange, maniacal grin on his face? :offtopic:

Just my personal bit of advice, I’d brew another pot of coffee, cancel your meetings, grab a power cord, and prepare to wait it out. It could be awhile.

I booked on Tuesday, dialing in to the Galaxy booking line at exactly 7am (5am my time). I was on hold for four hours -- music but no estimated wait time prompts -- and it took 15 minutes to book once I got through. The CM I got said mine was the first booking to go smoothly. New system, lots of glitches. Periodically while I was on hold, I had my husband try to dial in and he got the "all circuits are busy" message the entire time I was on hold.

We booked four people in a standard cabin in late March for just over $7700 and added the captain's table for one night at $30 per person.

BE PATIENT and keep trying! If you're on hold, STAY THERE!

So, after repeated redials I got into the VIPassholder line at 8:20am. Waited 2 hours 25 minutes for a CM to tell me that the Galactic Starcruiser queue is closed and that I should call back this afternoon. (We are both DVC and AP, but I'm not using points for this - because it's crazy). I just dialed the Galactic Starcruiser direct number and got into the queue after a few redials. Wait time is "over 60 minutes" according to the recording.

What type of annual pass? We have active Gold passes and did not get the AP email but did get the DVC one (and post screening transfer still on silent hold for almost 3 hours).

We also have Gold Passes and did not get the email. But I also didn't get the DVC email either. So it's hit or miss apparently.

Ok so...I have this number to Disney that was given to me to call if I ever have any problems. I have only used it once before today....but today I called because I just wanted to vent about my experience. I explained what happened in a very nice way...and the CM told me that they did not expect to have this many people calling from every which way. She said it has crashed the entire phone system for all reservations. She said social media from websites to twitter accounts made it seem like everyone with any AP could call and get thru to book Galactic Starcruiser. We had a good chat for about 15 mins, she asked for my information, asked for my code and then put me on hold for about 5 mins....she came back and said a member of the Starcruiser team will be calling me back. She said she didn't know when...but someone will call.

So we shall see....

But I will keep trying anyway, cause I am impatient like that....lol
There are several (not just on here) APs who did not receive a code who have been able to book, so if you did indeed actually need a code, then there are lots of CMs who are breaking the rules today.
