Will do --you let us know, too!
I have read that when booking Disney cruises with DVC points, when DVC points are required to book at least one passenger, you can use points for one of the lower-cost passengers and pay cash for the more expensive ones. MTFBWY!Does anyone know if you can use the 86 points for the extra passenger? I don't have enough for 1st and 2nd adult.
I'm jealous that you're getting music!update: still on hold hearing music. I got through to AP line and was on hold until about 7:45, got screened and transferred to the reservation team.

If that's true - couldn't someone book a third person at the 86 points, and then not bother to have that person actually show up - so you only waste 86 points, and not get gouged for the 391 points ?? If so, that might be my strategy, tomorrow, if this silent phone call I'm on ends unfavorably.I have read that when booking Disney cruises with DVC points, when DVC points are required to book at least one passenger, you can use points for one of the lower-cost passengers and pay cash for the more expensive ones. I'm on attempt #34 to get through on the DVC line. For anyone curious, on post #129 of this thread I'm keeping a tally of my attempts. It might make you feel better about how you're spending your time!! BWhahaha!Has anyone booked with DVC yet? We got through and we're trying to book a group of 14. We figured we'd get three rooms and use points for one person in each room as we had 5 DVC owners in our group. The cash for everyone else was going to be over $5200 per person! A far cry from the pricing they originally posted online. I guess booking through DVC unless you have enough points for everyone is not worth it.
You are not alone! (if that makes you feel better)We are on silent hold too! Called in right at 7 and got to the screener around 8:20…now just some random static on the line.![]()
Maybe - I have no information about what would happen if one person didn’t show up! Maybe ask that question on the DVC Member Services or Mousecellaneous forums, since my information is based on booking DVC Member cruises. If that's true - couldn't someone book a third person at the 86 points, and then not bother to have that person actually show up - so you only waste 86 points, and not get gouged for the 391 points ?? Vouchers were enough to book AP preview for GE despite written info to the oppositeYes - at least going by the parameters for the Remy and Galaxy’s Edge previews.
Oops - this was in response to if it had to be an active pass
What would you get if you rented 86 points? $1000 ? You're willing to "spend" that much for the privilege of booking a few days earlier. Thanks. I didn’t know this. I wasn’t a part of any type of Disney group back then!Vouchers were enough to book AP preview for GE despite written info to the opposite
It does! I’m having Boo Bash flashbacks where I accidentally hung up after being on hold forever. You are not alone! (if that makes you feel better)![]()
