Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

:woohoo: You have arrived at Disney! Love the kiddie pool at Fort Wilderness. It's so hot today, I wish I could go out and play in that. It certainly looks refreshing.

I cannot wait to see where you guys end up. My guess is Magic Kingdom!

Yay! Yall have arrived! I had family stay at the Campground and its very nice! I wouldn't mind camping there!

Wow....FW looks really nice....seems like you guys got a good spot! :thumbsup2 Very cool about seeing the deer, but the alligator? :scared1: That would have been a bit scary!

You have arrived! Looks like you're right in the middle of everything, so what went wrong? I'm just dying to know.

I loved the saturday morning cartoons, garfield and friends rulled.

i also remember watching saved by the bell after school as well...great show, i still watch there reruns.

Jimmy Fallon had the actor who played "zack morris" on. He interviewed him as Zack. It was so funny! I looked for a clip on you tube but I couldn't find it. My favorite part was when Zack had to take a call and he pulls out his giant cell phone.

Sorry, to get sidetracked there! Your location looks awesome!:thumbsup2 The pool looks like a lot of fun. It is so nice to finally be at your resort and have the whole vacation in front of you.

I was curious too, what loop you were in. We were in 1523 last time, and it looked fairly close to what you got.

Hi just to say loving the trip report so far. Looks like you guys had a very memorable trip :thumbsup2

Wow I am getting memories of the last time I was camping in 6th grade!! Except FW looks much better! I really want to visit there during our next trip because I've heard such great things about Hoop Dee Doo and Trail's End and other activities there :) I can't wait to see what you guys did!
Trails end is a really good buffet and the cheapest one on property, i think they are still under 20 bucks for an adult buffet there.

we did lots, hope it brings back good memories for you.

:thumbsup2
late to the party but I'm here!

Oh my goodness that tire! YIKES! So glad nothing bad happened.

Yeah, Candi needs to work on it. I look as ridiculous in my attempts.

Oh wow, you had a great location! What loop is that? I'm so excited to see all the things we never made it to (that we wanted to) at FW last year.
:welcome: but i thought you did post already after the first chapter.:confused3

maybe we need to have jordan put out a 3 step tongue picture process for new trainies.

that is loop 600 in the last year they have extended loop 600, by clearing out some of the trees next to the meadow trading post and adding about 17 more sites along the canal there.
did you ever make it to the fitness trail that leads to the WL?
very nice and relaxing area to be at in the campground.

Wasn't the other one the show about the two cousins? One was named Balki from a foreign country, the other maybe Larry....... :confused3
that was the show, i loved that show.

We used to love those Friday night shows. :thumbsup2 Brings back some fond and "painful" memories. DS20 was just a toddler then, about like Parker. Whenever he heard the music to Step By Step, he would come running from wherever he was in the house, and jump in my lap. I would pretend to be the roller coaster and jerk him all around like he was really riding it. Must be why he has never been afraid to ride the coasters.........and where DID my little boy go???
if you try that now it would break your leg.
That's the one we normally pass through. Can't wait until I see it again.
it is nice, not nearly as many people as the main on...alot better picture oportunities.

Nice effort though! She needs to spend more time in Jordan's TR and practicing in the mirror. Tell her to get right on that!

im thinking jordan needs to get a training picture update for those who would like to learn it.

Been a long time, but I think we were in the cabins in that first section on the left, "below" where you guys ended up. I remember it was a pretty good walk to the main pool, and an even further bike ride up to the trading post. We were near a bus stop though. It was a great place to stay for sure!

Great choice!
those cabins are very nice, i would like to stay there sometime if we fly down, they are a good option for people with 5 in there family that would have to get a second room at most of the resorts.

Woohoo for arriving at Disney! Though I think I would have freaked a little bit to see an alligator floating in the river!
thats one of many we have seen there, on our honeymoon there was one in the lake at Carribean beach they were trying to catch him in a trap by using marshellows...and i have seen a bunch of alligators at the fort while growing up.

Perfect Strangers! I loved that show.
it was a good show, they brought the funny.
:rotfl:

"Get out of the city!"
Sounds like somebody needs to get up and Do the Dance of Joy!:dance3:
:lmao:

it was nice to lay in the 5 inches or so of water while he ran up and down the stairs and went down the slide...

nope not the MK, we dont go into a park the day we get there, never have, we explore the first day, but what did we explore.:rolleyes1

Yay! Yall have arrived! I had family stay at the Campground and its very nice! I wouldn't mind camping there!
i met a guy once that was selling me a hitch for my truck and when the FW campground opened back in 71, there family was one of the first 100 people to camp there so they have gotten a free week of camping there for the rest of there life since, i tried to get him to hook me up, but he says he has been 3 times since and the rest his family uses.
at least he threw in a free wiring kit for my hitch.

Wow....FW looks really nice....seems like you guys got a good spot! :thumbsup2 Very cool about seeing the deer, but the alligator? :scared1: That would have been a bit scary!
it was a great spot...since we were so close to that water we were lucky not to see any more alligators at our site.

we did have a zuchini plant growing outside our door by the evergreen tree, it was almost ready to bud the veg.

Wow! The Campgrounds look great! Did it have a Disney feel to it?
well in its own way, u dont get the same feeling as the hotels when you get back at night and walk through the lobbies and gift shops...

but what i think you get is more of what walt wanted, a place for people to relax and get the nature feeling...you can still hear the kids playing in the poolwhen you are close to it, you get the sounds of the singalong with movie at night echoing. and a good mix of the nature sounds and peace most of the time. it is very relaxing, and of course you cant forget the disney buses driving by picking people up every 15 minutes to remind you where you are.

the walk down to the marina is great to catch the boats.

the hotel game at disney is new to me since our honeymoon is the first time i have ever done that, growing up we have always stayed at FW...so i guess FW is a little more disney to me.
:confused3

You have arrived! Looks like you're right in the middle of everything, so what went wrong? I'm just dying to know.
cant spoil it yet. that is for another chapter down the road.

That's a nice lesson to learn! :goodvibes Great pics - looks like a neat place!
thanks, it is, have you guys ever went over to check it out while there?

Loved the Candi Tongue pix !!! She did better than me I had my Mouth open:rotfl2::rotfl2:
thats how you get bugs in your mouth.

i do remember watching that episode of jimmy...it was funny, those phones were great. and everyone thought he was so cool to have that cell phone.

it did seem like our vacation would take forever to get there and last forever since we were going to be there so long, but it did go by kinda quick.

what a great location..

please tell me the camper had A/C
oh yeah of course it does...while it was 98 outside, we had it down to 71 inside the trailer, good sleeping temperature.

it just takes about 4 hours to get that low in there, which is not bad, we just leave so it can work easier without all the extra bodies in there heating it up while it is cooling down...so thats why we went to the pool then out for the evening, well we still would have done those things it just helps to be out of there.

it was the new addition to loop 600 right by the meadow trading post...you guys were on the other side of the pool you walked by the tennis courts to get to the pool right? we walked past the shop to get there.

:welcome: and thanks, it was a great trip, good memories and alot of great video of our little man enjoying the mouse.

Do alligators like marshmallows? :confused3

Yeah you're there and RV is in place and you're ready for some fun.

I cannot wait to go to FW although we are renting a 5th wheel from someone on the DIS boards. Can't wait. We are also looking at a RV on Saturday, crossing my fingers it's not junk it's 30 years old but we can get it cheap if it's only a little work needs to be done. My husband's aunt (it's her boyfriend's mothers) looked at it and said it looks pretty descent on the outside.

this one did, until it saw the trap then it turned around and went the other way.

that sounds like a lot of fun renting one from them.

if you are serious about it, have someone check it out with you that knows a thing or two about them...a camper that old, can have a decent amount of problems, especially with water leakage. i would try and take a look at it right after a ran, to see how it holds up.

anymore, dealers have good deals on them because they are not selling them as fast as they used too, and they offer warranties which are good on trailers.

my dad never keeps a trailer more than 8 years, he finds that is when the problems start accuring with them. i would try and take a look at it right after a ran, to see how it holds up.

:goodvibes
