Squirts, Shirts, and Flirts, The Legend Continues 2 weeks in FW(wrap up #2 new 11-17)

glenn, your comments are hilarious-I had a laugh over the looking at tires and eating string cheese too! You are very quick!

Thank you Kathy. I save my best stuff for Dan's report and Dan saves his best stuff for my report, which you can find by the link in my sig. <hint hint>

Why, oh why did you have to go and make me jealous by posting those art print pictures? I would love, love, love to have something like that. I may just have to make it a point to stop in DTD next year and see if I can find something to hang on my wall. I have a feeling it wouldn't be hard to find something I liked! :goodvibes

that is true, the monorail throught the park would be an awesome way for first timers to see it...will have to remember that when we go back with candis parents, they have been but its been about 15 years,

funny thing is her mom keeps saying things like ohh well we did that before it probly hasnt changed and so forth, she doesnt understand how much things have changed since she has been, its going to be a shock to them when they go back.

Oh, that will be such a shock to them!! 15 years means also that they have never been to AK!

Unfortunately the very best and ultimate way to arrive at Epcot is no longer available due to the tragic monorail accident last summer. Being in the front with the driver when the monorail arrives at Epcot was so wonderful... :sad1:

Now THAT is a unique way of getting to WL!!! ;) See, I really do ned to relax and take it easy - that way, I'd be able to enjoy doing something like that. But maybe I'll wait until I don't have three kids with me whining about when we'll get there! :rotfl:

My DH made a trip to Epcot just so he could ride the Tronorail (he's very excited for the movie). I'll have to see if your reaction was the same as his...:rolleyes1 I do need to show him that shot of the monorail, though!

Thank you Kathy. I save my best stuff for Dan's report and Dan saves his best stuff for my report, which you can find by the link in my sig. <hint hint>

I already have your TR in my favorites and since I am caught up with Dans and Jordans yours is tomorrows read!:surfweb: I cannot wait-I read the first page and was hooked!

Okay, I am all caught up-what fun! I jotted down notes so as not to forget as I read along. I am a lot older than you are-you'll see what I mean about the short term memory going . I can remember the first and last name of the girl who bit me in first grade, but not what I said an hour ago.
Anyway, First of all, I borrowed your gift idea from your PTR and wrapped little car games and treats for my bunch-teens, but they loved it! So thanks!
The tire popping was bad luck and good luck for you-we ended up in Georgia with a blown oil pump or something that required us to rent an Armada for our 7 people and bags! Our setback was 6 hours-but we were still happy to be going to Disney!
The bird was gross but funny because-like what are the chances of that happening?
I loved Hawaii-the water is so clear and warm and the sand is so soft. You will love it!
The movie of water spraying from the wheels was hysterical. It might just be me, but I watched the whole thing and loved that you recorded it!
I am sure that there was more, but I forgot to write it down, see, old age!

Great updates!! I love Candi's tongue pic!! And Parker's posing pic in FW - he is too darn cute!!

Love the artwork you bought - cool that you got to chat with the artist.

What a wonderful way to get to WL. The last time I was in Disney World I was running so fast to see everything that I don't remember half of what I did! Note to self: slow down!

Evening Dan !!! The Artwork is gorgeous !! My Fav is the Studios , that just caught my eye !!! I think I will buy a couple of those homes for 8 milion each !!:rotfl2::rotfl2:

I too love trying different modes of transporation !! I love the boat from Epcot , have only taken it to Boardwalk but want to try to DHS in October !!

Great updates as always !!~~:banana::banana:

Hello,
Love the art. I looked up his site and saved it so I know if he will be there when I go.

A gator!!! :scared1::scared1:

The campground looks really nice.

Looking forward to more.

What an awesome route to get to WL!!! I love it. We are going to have to do something like this next trip. We never do stuff like that and I just know we would all enjoy it.

My DS is collecting the Disney racers too. Arent they so cool??? I can't even tell you how many he has right now. I can only look at the wall of them and tell you what he doesn't have. :lmao:

Sounds like you guys are having a great time so far. Can't wait to read more!

edited to add.... I love the artwork and will be looking for it next time!!!

Wow! I'm glad that's not the normal way to get there. Hey, wasn't the WL right down the road from you guys?

I recently read about those. I'm juuuuust barely priced out of that market.

You are the master of suspense!

:rotfl2::rotfl2::rotfl2: Yeah, us too!!

Thank you Kathy. I save my best stuff for Dan's report and Dan saves his best stuff for my report, which you can find by the link in my sig. <hint hint>

Subtle, Glenn, subtle... :rotfl2:

Unfortunately the very best and ultimate way to arrive at Epcot is no longer available due to the tragic monorail accident last summer. Being in the front with the driver when the monorail arrives at Epcot was so wonderful... :sad1:

I was wondering if they'd EVER let that happen again. I guess I'm sad it looks like they won't be implementing that option again.

If you need any more, Kim, just let me know. ;):lmao:

I am afraid that unless they upgrade the security system a lot, this will never happen again. :sad2:

But, I can promise you that I will take you on an underground train in Nuremberg where you can sit in the front - just not with the driver since the train does not have any driver! :goodvibes

If you need any more, Kim, just let me know. ;):lmao:

Well... this might give her reading material for the next 10 years... Perhaps she might rather want to be pointed to a place that is still only a few pages long and moves at an easy speed... ;):rotfl:

This was from an early morning trip after a fantastic breakfast at Ohana. Glenn and I were there last year when the wreck happened. His family was the first thing I thought of the next day when we heard the news! Fortunately we were using bus transportation that evening. It was very sad!

I thought that was out of the question any more. Too bad, it'd been fun to surprise LeeAnn with that little secret.

WOW!! You will!! Now won't that make a fun installment??!! I can't wait!!!

It'd be leisurely reading though. :confused3

MARV~ You're the BOMB!! THANKS! We did ride in front last time, but it was raining so my pix were crap.

wow neglect your own report for half a day and get behind, off to reply.
:thumbsup2

Loved your transportation adventure....that tron monorail looks really cool!
Can't wait to hear about Whispering Canyon....I am tagging along with Eric to a conference in August. We will be staying at Coronado Springs & since he will be in meetings during the day, I have booked the Backstage Magic tour for myself. Lunch will be at WC & I have never been so excited to hear about your experience.
it looks alot cooler on the outside than the inside, very hard to see out of all that blue.
it was very good, i was thinking about the beef briscit (sp) on my run this morning.
that tour sounds like fun, heard they also just started offereing a new tour but i forget the name of it.

Hi Dan, I am dedicating this afternoon to reading the last 12 pages of your TR. I cannot wait! Welcome home and I am sure I will be commentating as I read along. :surfweb:
:welcome: glad your back hope your trip was good...and if you want feel free to write about it, i would be on board.
:thumbsup2
Yeah, I know what you mean. I'm about $100K short on those myself. Unfortunately, it is the FIRST $100K....... :confused3

sorry to make you jealous, but good news, they were not that expensive, the sizes we got i think were only like 20 bucks.

i also know that the art store in epcot has them, they are as you are entering to the right by innoventions.

they are allready matted as well, so you just need a frame for them.

Oh, that will be such a shock to them!! 15 years means also that they have never been to AK!

yeah, i think it will blow there mind when they see all that has changed...

this is true, i thought i heard that they were allowing them again, and i asked one of the guys if they were and he said no, and he did not think they would ever allow it again. it is too bad something like that happened, and that it will never be allowed again the faces on the kids 9and adults) when they were riding up there was priceless.

good idea to do that route between meal times.

well i was a fan of it from the outside, not so much the inside, all that blue does not allow for many openings while riding the train, seem pretty dark inside it even during the day, and hard to see out and pictures from it were impossible.

i got some really good ones of it later in the trip when it was arriving at the TTC from the ground those might be a few months from getting to thought.

thats okay, i forgot alot of things as well, most of the time i forget how old i am, i have to ask candi...glad your kids liked the wrapped presents, but then again, who doesnt like presents.
ouch, 6 hour setback is hard to muster especially on the way down.
i know we could help but laugh at the bird, even though it was kinda sad for him.

i am very excited for the trip to hawaii, i know i will love it. and that little stinker parker will get to go so young, it will be both of our firsts trips.

good thing you are now caught up, so you dont have to take notes anymore while reading.

I already have your TR in my favorites and since I am caught up with Dans and Jordans yours is tomorrows read! I cannot wait-I read the first page and was hooked!

I'm just subscribed to yours, going to start reading now.
i think glenn is using me.

tell me about it.

that is a good picture of parker, i did not notice it until you guys started talking about it, but i love his stance. alot of times it felt like we were rushed this trip, but we did make sure to slow down and take our time as well.

Oh good!

:rotfl2:

I know, I have no shame!
:sad2:

well when you get the first one built can i visit and stay a few nights?
::yes::

we have taken that boat a few times, we also like to take the boat from MGM to the beach club then walk the rest of the way along the water...some time i want to walk the whole way from MGM to epcot.

Hello,
Love the art. I looked up his site and saved it so I know if he will be there when I go.

i did not even think of looking on his website for the artwork, i will have to check that out for his work and the schedule.

there used to be a big 12 footer that lived along the banks of the campground by the marina when we were growing up, but havent heard of any other ones in a long time.

What an awesome route to get to WL!!! I love it. We are going to have to do something like this next trip. We never do stuff like that and I just know we would all enjoy it.

i think your son would love spending an afternoon traveling around on the transporation, has he started to collect the transportation trading cards?

have they had those racers for a while? i have never seen them before.

I am afraid that unless they upgrade the security system a lot, this will never happen again. :sad2:
according to the one guy, they wont be offereing at again, to much of a liability...and i think for respect for the driver.

those were some good shots, i remeber our last trip when parker was so small riding up there, telling the maintence guy to sit next to him, i am very proud that he got to ride up there oncein his life even though he may not remember it, we have proof and video of it.

it is just so hard to comprehend how it could have happened, and how they could have gotten so close to each other.
