Hey, you're right!!! I never put that together!
see, you have to watch out for jordan, that guy is tricky, but im on to him, he is a robot.
I love road trips!! Did the lady really have a perch in the front seat for the parrot?

Wow - that's called eccentric!!
I love the picture of Parker running towards his mom! So sweet!

I remember those days! My son is sixteen now and running away from me most days!!

Parker looks like he's very close to grandma and grandpa too!
she sure did, right up there on the perch on the seat.
that is funny running away from you.

he is he loves his grandparents, he asks for them all the time.
Great update of a pretty "uneventful" day. Well, except for beating your dad at ping pong, skinned knees, Disco balls, and pool time. Oh yeah, and Georgia peaches...
well i knew it was not that much of an exciting day, so i tried to show as much of the fun stuff as i could...and those peaches were awesome, i would love to have some of those right now.
Okay, had some time so I'm all caught up now!
DW and I went to Hawaii years ago (pre-kids). We were on Oahu and the Big Island. I always heard Maui was one of the prettiest islands there. I can't imagine it being any prettier than what we saw, so you should be in for a treat. Hope you have a great trip.
This trip sounds like some of the ones we took as a kid. My dad would plan our stops along the way based on not wanting to do traffic in certain areas too.
For me, I'm just impatient and want to get there to maximize the amount of time there. I can't imagine stopping along the way to WDW (and sometimes the family is sitting there with their legs crossed, wondering if I ever will),

but then again, it is only about a 9 hour drive for us. I do plan departure times and break times based on NOT hitting traffic in certain areas at certain times, especially Atlanta.
i glad that we get to have to experiences when there, one of the hotel area and resorts, and one of the private local area.
yep your dad sounds like mine, now he says that next trip, he wont leave on a friday to come home, cause he hates the later friday traffic around ATL, so he will leave on a saturday now.
haha, just hand back the bottles for the family to use huh,
We stayed in Maui and Oahu. Maui was very relaxing but Oahu is like a big city but great. I would love to go back again but I don't think that will ever happen.
Parker is doing very well for the ride. I just have one silly question though. Are you allowed to go to FW at anytime and check in - I thought you can't check in until 3ish.
I'm getting excited that you're almost there.
did you go up into the mountains on maui?
well im going to give away a little fo the next chapter, but you asked nicely.

well it is kind of like any resort, when you get there, you can check in and then they will let you know when a site is ready...we checked in and parked the trailer, then went back to the loop we were assigned, to and there were already a bunch of people that had left there sites, so we found 2 that we liked and he called up front and said the numbers we liked, and the lady said okay it is yours...normally, they dont like you to do that, but we are not normal people.
What a cool update. What's up with parrot lady?? That's just nasty!! You never know what you will see on the road.
The places you stopped looked to be pretty nice and clean. It's good you guys got some swim time in!
it sure did make the days intersting, seeing people driving past you doing weird things in there cars.
they all were pretty nice, we noticed the rest parks in the south are alot nicer than the ones in our state.
Loving your TR! I cant wait for you to keep posting!!! I look forward to reading about the rest of your magical trip!
Parker is adorable!!!

thanks for reading along and commenting. I comment on the weekends, but usually dont have time to do an update on the weekends, those happen during the week.
thanks for the kind words and thanks again for joining us.
Hey Dan....you came right by us in Tennessee I am sure. The hills of TN are pretty but I wish I lived closer to

& the ocean. As for the parrot lady, there are apparently people that are as passionate about their birds as most are about their dogs & cats. I work with a nurse who has had a blue macaw since she was a baby & now the bird is 25 years old & got her very own 25th birthday party & photo shoot.

Don't know if she drives around with the bird in the car, but I wouldn't put it past her.
Enjoying your travels & ready to get to Disney!
i think we took 24 (i think that was the road) on the way down to avoid the south slope of monteagle, and on the way home we took the monteagle route.
that is crazy about that lady and her bird, but that is kinda old for a bird isnt it? or is that normal age for them.
You're getting closer. Sounds like Parker is being a real trooper on the ride. Stopping for run around time and getting to swim before diner is a nice perk too.
he did great on the trip we were very proud of him.
the pools were very welcoming while the trailer was cooling down before we went in for the night.
