I ran into a fellow dis'er on the bus back to our resort last September. I'm really a shy person so it took me a long time to say something to her but I finally said, I'm on the disboard too' and pointed to her LGMH.
We chatted for awhile and I was really glad I got up the nerve to say hi. I will be there from March 3rd-11th. I'll have my LGMH on my backpack. come say Hello!!

We will be there the 5th through the 11th and all 4 of us (hopefully DH will cooperate) will be wearing LGMH name tags on our lanyards!! Feel free to come visit!

I figure if some one has a lime green Mickey head or ribbon they are open to another DISer saying hi!

A few years back ...before the Mickey head thing started...people were wearing lime green ribbons,buttons and shirts...whenever I saw someone with lime green on I'd ask "Diser?"...a few were but some looked at me like I was crazy!!!

I always meet up with folks from the boards, and also bump into a number every trip. Always enjoyable. (Well, I have seen a few I would rather have not seen)

Dan Murphy you are going May 2nd?? I cannot believe it, yet another trip I am missing meeting you!! I swear, it's always so close! We'll be there May 18th, celebrating our 25th anniversary Dan, how cool is that. Someday..hey have a great trip!

Not a LGMH but I do DISigns in the DISign thred. Last October while in the parks I just happened to look over and notice a family with a shirt disign I did here on the boards. I was so excited to see something I knew was mine! I went over and just mentioned I loved their shirts and asked where they got them to make sure. The said the disign was from here and I explained I was the one that made them and it was so much fun and they thanked me. I was fun talking to them and really wasn't a long talk just about 5 min. Nice to meet other DIS people.

That is awesome!

I always worry if disers will remember some of the dumber things I've said that I won't even remember! That's probably not something I really have to worry about.

Just wondering if the LGMH have room to collect autographs from any DISers you might run into. It would give you a reason to approach each other, trade siggies (screen name) and then, when you get home you would remember which DISer(s) you ran into so you could compare notes.

I looked last Aug for other LGMH but did not see any in the parks. I had mine but apparently no one saw it.
But I did see one in a room at Pop. I knocked and no one was there. I was hoping to say hi. I always put mine it the window too. I will be at All star sports May 14 - 21 then switching hotels not sure where as it is a surprise for me. but I will put my lime green Mickey head there too...

I made a ton of these before our last 2 trips. I put at least 5 of each of our backpacks and carried around an extra 20 in case we ran into a Dis-er so they could have one -- but both times, no one noticed

Every time we go I always get too caught up to even notice if someone else is wearing one.

We don;t get the paint swatches over here, so I have made my own.

A LGMH (Mine is minnie - I've put a pink bow on her) that I've laminated, with "Torsie24" on one saide and "I *heart* DIS" on the other.

Come say "Hi" If you see me. Or just do the "YAY DISboards!" Shout!

I'll mention meeting DISers in my TRs and would love to read about people meeting me in theirs.

Also, for the record, I say diss-boards, too.

haha I found the dis in 09 I believe, right after our 08 trip (DDs first Disney trip). It wasn't until last year that I actually decorated my resort room (the window) at CBR. I put a pirate lime green mickey head in my window too in the corner.
But ever since I found the Dis fiance says "can you spot a DISer?"
When we were eating our breakfast one morning @ ASMo I turned around and a man had a binder with I guess his agenda, although he had no lime green mickey head I assumed he was a DISer LOL, fiance agreed. When DD started school her teacher turned out to be a huge Disney fan and after we met with her for the first time he said "What do you think? DISer?" LoL
But in all my Disney World travels I have only seen 1 person with a lime green mickey head. He was wearing a lanyard and the head was in the part where the ID goes. We were waiting to be seated at Le Cellier and playing the "Do you know Canada?" game with one of the CMs LOL and he walked in. I never approached him, I felt funny haha.

I would think most people wear a LGMH so that they can be recognized by others. I didn't bother with this my first trip, but this time around I might put a DIS button on my bag or something.

I see Disers in the parks when we go but I don't say anything to them. Seems ok to do when you are here on the boards but in public it feels weird. So I just point them out to DH who rolls his eyes at me because I won't go over and say hello.

Sounds exactly like me and my DH! EXACTLY!
