Sorry DISers

I wore one before and meant to keep an eye out for others. But it was our 1st trip and two kids to look after. I never did see anyone wearing a LGMH but I think that was due more to us all gawking at everything than looking AT people. I did get to meet a couple of DISers by pre-arrangement and that was nice.

This trip I'll pay more attention since it's just the two of us. Hope to run into someone!

Just wondering if the LGMH have room to collect autographs from any DISers you might run into. It would give you a reason to approach each other, trade siggies (screen name) and then, when you get home you would remember which DISer(s) you ran into so you could compare notes.

I always meet up with folks from the boards, and also bump into a number every trip. Always enjoyable. (Well, I have seen a few I would rather have not seen)

We've had one on our bags for the last two trips and only one person (in line for TSM) said 'hello'....I was really hoping to meet more people! We'll be there the last week in May, so if you see us say hey!

Ironically, the one time I saw someone with a green Mickey didn't know what I was talking about when I asked if they were a fellow DIS-er

I saw a whole group of Dis'ers. All women, laughing and smiling and wearing lime green shirts. I so wanted to say "Hi! I hope you are having a fabulous trip!!" but then felt like a weirdo and didn't.

When I remember to look, I look. The lime green mickey head from Home Depot is now the ONLY way I will ask - too many people with lime green t-shirts on or lime green colored mickeys on their shirts - so random, but pretty common in people NOT associated with DISboards! BOO!
I have mine on my backpack - if you see a wee Scottish lassie blabbering on feel free to stop me and say Hi!

When were you there? I did the exact same thing! It would be hilarious if it just happened to be the same lady and people had been coming up to her the whole day like that!!!

I've only run across Disers twice on the 4 trips since I have been on the Disboards. The first time was in December 2008, and they had their stroller decked out with a Dis sign. The stroller was parked at Akershus, but I never saw the people that went with it. Our trip last December, I was talking to this man who was standing next to us in line at the Character Connection in Epcot. He was telling me how they were there for his daughter's birthday because she loved Disney to the extent she went on these boards on the internet all the time. She enough she was a Diser! The line time went fast because we spent the rest of the time talking to her and her family. They were really nice. We kept running into them in the parks for the rest of the week too. It was fun!

I would love to have other Disers notice me and say "Hi". I actually didn't even have the lime green Mickey heads hanging off my bag and the stroller last December because no one had ever said anything to us in our other 3 trips where I had them. Funny, since that is the one time I actually met and talked to another Diser!

DH already thinks I've gone over the "Disney" edge Wonder what he'll say when I ask him to grab me some lime green mickey heads the next time he goes to home depot? I think it would be fun to have one on my bag and meet other dis'ers.

DW and I both had lime green Mickey Head keychains on our bag.

We found them at Walmart over there. There is a site you can buy them from as well. Click HERE for the link.

The whole time we were there though, not one person gave us a shout out. We looked for those high and low. Our friends that went with us were even helping us look. Didn't see a one. Hopefully next time. If there is a next time.
