Thank You ... I know I just have my son Destin and I on the roll call ... I hadnt added Helen cause we didnt know for sure if she would be able to make it ...(were still going through immigration process , we finally have our interview and hope it gets approved on July 28th) , then we have to get her Schengen Visa for most of the Med trip so we have been running around like chickens with our heads cut off ... all this and we still dont know if my step son Sean (Helens) son will make it ....He is listed and paid for to go but dont know if we will be able to get him from Manila prior ....If he does make it , he will probably fly to the states around Sept 3rd , then turn around and fly with us to Spain on the 6th ....And all this is provided he gets his Schengan approved later today (its actually Wednesday in Manila right now ) at the Spanish Embassy in Manila ...

So if he does get approved for the Schengan , then it will be US immigration's turn to expedite his paper work .. so we are working on it ferociously ...

This is why I am not on the boards much, because were so tied up with my regular work plus getting everything in line for Helen to become a Legal Resident here in the States ....

(Sorry about the lil life story ..lol )

pirate:

loads of pixie dust Todd!!!

OK thanks to Penny and her marvels she has managed to get out a preview copy of the navigator! Warning this is the first preview and I expect there to be mistakes so please point them out! Sandi (Hoagie Pie) appologies for the spelling mistakes as I think I caught some and not others on your name!

Anyway the end document will be a duplux version that can be printed then folded into a booklet but this is just the main pdf version.

It should be helpful for those first timers out there and seasoned DCL's
alike hopefully. If anyone thinks of anything else to add let me know. As said before I've left out the Dis Name list as it seemed the best idea for now as most people are waiting on room assignments

Dis Navigator Version 1
This is awesome!!!! Thank you for all your work:):thumbsup2

I think I can finally fall a sleep now. I got an email for my TA and it appears my years of service to my country just paid off. We appeared to have gotten the Military Discount. :thumbsup2 I see a DB purse in my future (was going to get it anyway, but now DH cannot complain). Life is good!

:cool1:Congratulations and thank you for your service:)

This is the one thing I don't miss about work!!! Every day Stephanie would be coming round the office to the different departments looking for money. You knew it was bad if she carried her little squishy brain punching her other hand with it!!! :lmao::lmao::rotfl:

here is the BRAIN!!!!

brain.jpg
I can't believe you still have a photo of my cute little squishy brain. :lmao::lmao::rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:

I will need a vacation after this budget. :surfweb::surfweb:

Were you a GTY status? If so, could be a sign that they are starting to shuffle in hopes to sell more of a certain category? just a guess... Hoping that you get some pixie dust!!

Thanks. Yes, we were GTY, and then a couple of weeks ago we had a cabin # appear on our ressie on the DCL website when I logged in (to try to get Palo brunch, of course). Now it's gone, so I'm not sure what's up. Wouldn't mind some pixie dust, of course, but certainly never count on it :goodvibes .

Hello all fellow TA cruisers....my DW and I are both getting a little antsy.....we have neither a stateroom assingment and have no idea what our flights will be both to Barcelona on the Friday night before the cruise or our flight home from Orlando after the cruise.....I know they should be assigned shortly but the waiting is starting to get to us....sometimes checking twice or even three times a day.....
Tom & Marilou

Oh, yes, we're feeling the same way. It's so hard to make plans when you don't know when you are leaving/arriving and where you will be staying. :scared:

Sue - One update on the tastings (I think I PM'd you this) but the counts are off for the tastings since you added our parents to the same line as us, but didn't increase the count from 2 to 4. Since FIL has started posting, you could list him and MIL on a separate line under Sea Rogues if you like and that makes it easier.

I'm sitting here scratching my head. A couple of weeks ago we saw our cabin # when we logged in to DCL. I just checked the site for some other info and now they are not listing any cabin # for us. ??? Anybody have any idea why they would do that? :confused3

Hopefully that means an even better upgrade is in the works for you.

update information

I'm planing to get to the port early. Does any know what time the ports opens.

Stephen

Someone posted in one of the recent Barcelona threads that they go to the port around 10ish, were let inside around 10:15 I think, on the ship by 11:45, and in their rooms by 1:35.

Is it hot every where as it is here. It 6:15 pm and 101 degress. It got up to 103 today. This heat is killing my wrist. Last week i could easily move it with no pain. With this heat I can't bend it down all the way. It going to this hot all week. I need to move to the north pole.

Stephen

Very hot in the DC area today!

Tom & Marilou

We are compulsive checkers as well. And we haven't booked our return flights from Orlando to DC yet! (But this may have been a very good thing, since I was about to book our usual 11:35am flight on United, but they changed it into an 8:30am flight! We would have been high and dry on that one!)

Connie, two please for the boys.

Thanks
Joe

I just smile everytime you show us the boys together!

....We had tons of people at the beach house this weekend and lots of laughs....

Oh it sounds like a great time! It would be SO nice to have a beach house to run to when you want to get away!

Are we missing Martini tasting I know myself and hubby were on it on part 6. I also thought the groups were alot bigger. did we have drop offs?

That would be Ruth and Glenn :)

There are other adult beverage tastings that Sue isn't organizing. I know Dorothy (KermitRocks) has the Martini Tasting list. Check out Page 2 of the thread. I know it's on there.

For all the kind words about the navigator. I hope people find it useful!

Sarah, all I can say is WOW! Who needs a Passporter when we've got this! We are so lucky to have you cruising with us! I also thought it was very sweet that you mentioned GOS's husband who passed away. That was very kind.

As far as the cruise director is concerned, the last time I checked, Brent was sailing. I can keep checking every week to see if he's on board for the next couple of weeks if anybody wants me to. I didn't have a source for the dinner themes but I do have one for cruise directors! :lmao:

I REALLY need to go to bed. I have to get up in 5.5 hours to work shipment at the Disney Store. I'm excited because I know there should be a lot of new merchandise coming in because we have a floor move next week! :yay: The only bad part is getting up so early, but then I'm done with work early in the day so it works out well in the end. :)

No, your not to late, i will put the two desgin on the board so every one can vote the one they like most.

I like number one best but they are both terrific so I will go along with the majority. Tru

The navigator is terrific. When I first had a look at it I said "wow, this is just what I needed". As this is my first cruise I found all the activities to be a little overwhelming. I certainly will make use of it. Thanks for all the hard work. Tru

Tom, the August 17th Wonder and the 2nd last Med cruise were getting GTY assignments on the GTY thread today. I think we should see something starting in the next two weeks. I know that some of the air assignments have been received so that portion should be soon.

Pj

As long as we know that we have a stateroom it's alright in my world. :goodvibes

We have not booked our return flight either. We have extended our stay in Orlando thru Oct 9 and want to stay 2 more days, but DVC has no studios available ANYWHERE on Oct 10. What's with that???? :confused3 I keep checking back every couple of days and will book the flight home soon, either on the 10th or 12th, depending on DVC availability. :rolleyes1 I don't think there is a real hurry on that. I also still need to book 2 hotels, one the night before we fly out of Spokane, WA and one at Miami for the night before we fly to Barcelona. We fly from Spokane because flights out of Missoula are ridiculously high and require 2 stops to get to FL. I will try again tomorrow. :surfweb:

OMG! Got back from the beach and realized I have 30 something pages to catch up on. I did see my name on something that was e-mailed via Sarah that I typed someone's name wrong or something - I apologize. I have more lists and stuff going on. I won't read the boards till tomorrow because I am getting ready for night-nights.

We had tons of people at the beach house this weekend and lots of laughs. Has anyone played the card game 99 - sooo much fun!

Hope everyone is well and will start reading tomorrow morning. If I need to do something, just PM me on the medication/scrapbook list. THANK YOU!!!:thumbsup2

Glad you had a fun time!!! Lots to catch up on but nothing critical.

I feel for you. I think I would be nutty if I didn't know what stateroom we were going to be in when we sail!!

Just my thoughts...

There are a few of us with tasting groups. We will all get together on the 15th and then 2 of us will work with DCL to set up as many as they will allow us to. None are guaranteed at this point, but with a group our size I am very hopeful!!

Tom, I totally understand! Last year we didn't have a cabin assignment 30 days out and I was going nutty! Hang in there!!

I have the update in, just haven't had the time to do screen shots and all that!

Yeah!! We are hoping to get on the ship for lunch and a swim!

That is soooo awesome!:worship::worship::worship:
You can add our anniversary celebration set for the first formal night, Gibraltar port. Thanks! :flower3:

Annie

Yes, it is the right one but even their main website seem to be down. I shall mention that to Eusébia when I email her

If it is just you for the tasting, I will tell her to call them and add you to the tour if that is fine with you.

Let me know.

I keep trying as wel and nothing. Any idea when they will be up. We need to add 6 of us before the masses take all the spots.

On the EBPC we did not get our stateroom number until 2 to 3 weeks before the cruise.

I will be happy to have Eusébia call and add 6 more, if you want me to. Let me know and I will email her. She and I email at least once or twice a day.

Well Thanks to all of you who have worked so hard on all of the activities. The navigator was great for DH and I to go thru while in the HEAT 106 are they nuts. Now that we are home cooled off and relaxed I got a chance to read the boards. Wow there is a lot going on. I hope I do not have to work in the morning. Tried the link for Blandys and I also could not get it to go thru. Must be my computer skills.. Now to the farming..
