Jewel, I'll keep my fingers crossed for Kellie! :goodvibes

Had a lazy day off today. I slept in and then DF and I just went out a little bit to get belated birthday cards for my one bridesmaid and her daughter (I'm hoping her daughter will be a flower girl, but there's some possible issues there) and to the grocery store to pick up a few groceries and then back home. Like I said...just a lazy day. Yesterday was fun because we went to Ikea with my future DMIL (MagicMe), my future DBIL and my DF. It was so much fun looking around at everything! :)

Hope all is well with everyone! :)

Are any of you messing with me?? because if you are its not funny(well maybe just a bit:rotfl: )

Ah, tink too, it was YOU :lmao:
Me thinks?? ;)
Inspector morse I am not, but someone has edited yours as well with the same user name.

Sorry - stupid mouse must have picked up your balloon when I was trying to add mine. I didn't even realise that I'd messed up anyone else's locator. That's what we get for living in such a dinky little country!

Unfortunately I came home with a chest infection

Glad you had a great time at DLP despite the cold weather and the cutbacks.

Get well soon. :flower3:

Morning all,
just wanted to check in and say Howdy.
I am unpacked, laundry done, groceries all bought pictures down loaded to the computer, now I need to put them on photo bucket so I can share them with all of you soon.

WOW! Do you wanna come home with me after our next vacation! :worship:

Welcome back and looking forward to seeing your photos. :thumbsup2

Things are looking up a bit here...Kel has a job interview Weds with good prospects.

Fingers crossed that everything works out. :wizard: Good luck with rewiring the tree - ours hasn't even made it out of the loft yet. :rolleyes1

I was thinking a murder mystery on a boat would be fun; anyone out there participate?

Lynne

I did the one on the WB Panama. It wasn't a murder, but it was a mystery! It was a lot of fun....even though you didn't have enough 'real' clues to figure out who did what...you just kind of had to guess. The entertainment staff did a great job. I still use my dective's notebook they gave us.:thumbsup2

Thanks for all the good wishes. Well, I have survived work in one piece and still don't feel like going to bed, so I must get better.

HI

Wecome home - sounds like you had a great time. We visited Disneyland Paris in December a few years ago and I can honestly say I have never been so cold! We had to put on so many layers it was ridiculous! Did you get to see the snow falling on Main Street?
I love Crush's Coaster - the second half of the ride is amazing - but it must come as a shock to those who go on it expecting it to be a kiddie ride!:scared1:

It was seriously cold and they had actually forecast some real snow, but all we got was the snow on Main Street. I wish I had my camera handy at one point. We decided to leave the park after lunch on the Saturday as it was heaving with people and headed to Val d'Europe for a bit. When we got to the Central Plaza, the Paddy Wagon was there and empty. About half way down Main Street we had to stop as people just would not get out of the way and the snow started to fall with the Disneyland Hotel and the Christmas Tree in the background. It was so beautiful that I started to well up.
Still, with it being so cold I had every excuse to get a wooly hat with Stitch and a Tinkerbell fleece to keep me warm.

That would be my idea of heaven. I love murder mystery dinners/ parties and to have one on the Magic is almost too good to be true.

I forgot to answer the questions of the week in my earlier post. My all time favourite character is Figment, but I also love Chip and Dale, Eeyore, Mickey, Minnie and since my two cruises in September Stitch.

As to cast members, I really liked Natalie and Claire.

I wouldnt mind but you put me in EAast Kilbride, try St Andrews or somewhere posh the next time:goodvibes

Disney girl, sounds like a great day, I am going to have a day like that this week, going to go to the movies I think.

I don't know if its time for a new "question of the week" or not, but here is a new one:

What is your favorite Holiday Tradition??

Mine is making gingerbread houses (with Graham crackers due to food allergys) with our friends and God Children.

:cutie:

We have booked the Christmas cruise for 2010 and my Husband and I are thinking about changing it for the Trans WB 2010. For one.. we have already sailed the Western and though we have not seen all that Mexico has to offer.. Well.. we think the Trans will be much more exciting. :goodvibes I am concerned that we may suffer from sea sickness while crossing the Atlantic. How are the sea's in Sept? And the temps? Would I be foolish to stay in a room on deck 7 forward for a Transatlantic cruise? How about a CAT 8- Oceanview??? Has anyone ever cruised in a CAT 8 on a 14 day cruise before?

Thanks:woohoo:

What is your favorite Holiday Tradition??

On Christmas Eve, going to candlelight service at 11PM, then coming home, having some hot chocolate and opening presents.

Since this will be our first Christmas with a little one, that probably won't happen this year, so...my second favorite is probably staying at home for Christmas, and sometimes having friends and/or co-workers over for Christmas dinner who didn't otherwise have a place to go.

I am stopping by for only a quick post as I am frantic packing for Germany (I like to be packed months ahead of time:lmao: this whole booking last minute thing is not easy for me)--so sorry for the many things I am not responding to.

Jewel--bets of luck to Kel--it sounds like she is doing all the right things:goodvibes

Welcome to the "maybe" newcommers:wizard: Transatlantics are the best;)

The kids and I bake 3-4 different types of cookies on Christmas Eve (chocolate chip, molasses, choclate peppermint, etc.). We leave a plate for santa and put the rest on a big tray. Christmas mornign we set out the tray and a bowl of fruit and have Cookies for Breakfast while we rummage through the stockings and play with whatever Santa brought and play with games and toys we opened the night before, model new clotehs, etc. We usually stay in our PJs and nosh and play until at least noon.

What is your favorite Holiday Tradition??

Hmmm...I guess mine would on Christmas morning, before opening any presents, my twin and I would always have to open our stockings. I have always loved the stocking gifts, I don't know why, but I have.

Great question!

So exciting!!! I wonder what it could be?

Reading "Twas the Night Before Christmas" as a family on Christmas Eve before putting the kiddo's to bed.

I was really concerned about seasickness when we did the EBTA in 2007. I get queasy with just about anything. I can't even watch the teacups - riding them is completely of the question:sick: . However, I did ok even with 20-30 foot seas:scared1: . In fact, the high seas made it more fun. The first night after Castaway Cay was not good, but after that I really did get used to it. I did wear my seabands pretty much continuously and took bonine daily. When the seas were really bad, I would drink a gingerale. I can't say what he seas will be like in Sept (it is hurricane season after all!), but I'm looking forward to all those days at sea again:cloud9: . We were in a Cat 11 between the forward and midship elevators on deck 6. I did miss my verandah, but it worked out ok.

COngrats on your first Christmas with a little one!! Christmas as you know it will never be the same, but it is worth it! :cloud9: :santa:

Great question!

When we were growing up we could open our stockings Christmas morning as soon as we got up (defined as anytime, but NOT before sunrise!:rotfl2: ). There were always toys/activities/treats in there to keep us occupied until our parents got up and then we would all open presents under the tree!

We've done the same thing now with our own kids. It is interesting how each child interprets this DD13 is always the first one up with DD5 in tow. Then the two of them work on DD14 until they convince her to get out of bed too. (She's the practical one and figures that the stockings aren't going anywhere and sleep is a pretty darn good thing too!:rotfl2: )

Hello,
sorry I cant answer your exact question but I did want to say that forward usually has more movement and so do the upper decks.
If your really concerned about motion, go for a lower deck midship for the most stable rooms. I have had rooms all over the ship and the lower decks like1 & 2 have a lot less motion, I promise.

Hope you will decide to join us.

Kathy

Just popping in to say hello! :wave2:

This board has moved so fast this past week, that I have not been able to keep up. So, I am not being insensitive to what may be going on, just uninformed.

We are leaving for Florida this Thursday and will be doing a land/sea package with 4 nights on the Wonder, our first. I was hoping to try to do the mini Dis meet @ MK on 12/21, but previous committments prevent us from being at the MK on that date. We will be in the area for a couple weeks after, so perhaps I'll recogonize someone at the parks?

Anyway, just wanted to stop by and say hi and I'll try to catch up.

Linda
