Claire Robinson 5 ingredient fix is the show
Hi does anybody have any information about the exercise classes that the magic offers. Whats the spin class like and what does it cost, do you have to book early in the cruise?
I fear I will need to do a few classes to counteract all the lovely food I will eat.
Margaret
I just want to say that I'm still here. I know that I don't write a lot, but I get very self conscious when writing in English.
We're back from a week at Disneyland Paris. We had a very nice time.
We also just booked the Hawaii cruiseI'm so excited. I have always wanted to see Hawaii, but I hate flying (the 9 hours to Orlando is more that enough), so this is a dream come true for me.
As far as I know the exercise classes are all free and you just turn up. I don't know why I know as I have never been and don't intend to!!!!![]()
DH has taken the spin classes. There is a book in the gym used for sign up, but there are lots of units available so capacity didn't seem to be an issue if you hadn't signed up in advance. As Marilyn said, there is no fee. DH cycles a lot and he found that the instructor he had really pushed them hard, it wasn't an easy workout.
anyone interested?
Thanks that's good
Great thanks for that, I spin a lot,n

Margaret, I like to workout on a cruise that is this long, so on the EBTA last year I took several of the exercise classes. They are all free as others have mentioned and I remember a few different classes offered each day (maybe like 3.) Classes were spinning, yoga, morning stretch, ab blaster, pilates and I think that might be all. I don't remember having to sign up in advance for any of the classes, but for spinning, I would recommend arriving a little early b/c a few times there weren't enough bikes.
Thanks, do you know if the spins bikes have cycle shoe clips on them for spd cycle trainers....is it worth packing them
I did look up the fitness center on the Disney Magic and this is what I found as far as classes are concerned - http://disneycruise.disney.go.com/ships-activities/ships/magic/fitness-spa/fitness-center/
Thanks for the link
oh well done you, i dont know how people manage to spin i tried once andit was the hardest exercise ive ever done, never went back

I really enjoy it, but I wish I could do classes like yoga. Funny thing is I'm useless at riding a real bike because when I look over my shoulder to see what's behind me I fall offjust have no balance. Shame you won't be sitting on a bike next to me then

For me its the Elemis Exotic Hand Ritual with Manicure and Elemis Sole Delight Foot Treatment with Pedicure.
I always have them running together so it is 100 mins of pure pampering and relaxation.
It's a must for the start of every cruise it just wipes away the major stress I have to organise my caseload before I leave and you get gorgeous hands, feet and nails for the cruise.
Mind you, I do need to go back for a fingernail re-paint on week 2 as the sanitising wipes turn the french manicure yellow after a weekI was only charged about $15 plus tip for the re-paint last WBTA which is fantastic and half of the price of home

Hi everyone!
We are joining you, and are all really excited! I'm still working on my post count so I can PM the leaders of this board to be added to the list, but in the meantime... count us in!
We signed up last July, but I just found DISboards and love the sense of community you've already achieved before this sailing - it sounds like you've all known each other for years!
So, we are Dawn and Steve, from Scotland. This is our first Disney cruise and our first TA, although we've sailed with Carnival 4 times and RCI once.
We have two children - Calum will be 6 and Eilidh will be 2 years + 4 months. Calum's counting the days already, and talks about meeting Mickey on the ship all the time. Eilidh (pronounced AY-Lee) is that fun age that's just a bit too young for the kids clubs but will probably be bored in the nursery.
I'd love to contact some of the families with little ones under 3 - we should set up some play mornings (unless this has already been done and I'm just late). We've met some great families on board cruises before, but it would be really neat to get to know people in advance.
I see Tod & Copper and Binkytell are also from Scotland - anyone else from here? I'm Canadian as well, and I saw lots of maple leaf flags about on here
So, that's us - I've got tons of reading to do to get us caught up. Only 4 more months!
All my best
Dawn

Hey Michelle, do congratulate Stephanie from meOur daughter also works for Tesco bank, and yes she does get a discount on her shopping (think it's 10%).
Wow so a lot of you exercise on board. I'm impressed![]()
Congratulations to your daughter on her job.
Our middle son just got a job as well. He learned to be a radiology tech in the Army and has been looking for a job in the field for a year and a half. Even though it is a temporary job and part-time, his foot is in the door and we are SO thankful.![]()
