Didn't you know ... birthday cake is always fat free, as are ALL cakes served on cruise ships :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

Oh, if only that were true. That chocolate cake looked awseome. Not much of a sweet eater, I prefer potato chips, anything salty, over sweet. Although I do love love love a good chocolate chip cookie.

Thanks for the cake Michelle!!! Totally fat and calorie free!!!:lmao:
No trouble Maz :)
Thanks for sharing the cake! Birthday cake has to be one of my most favorite desserts :cloud9:
My pleasure

ditto, i wanted to see what it was all about, so i started having a go. i sucked at first. couldnt get the hang of the controls so at first it was a lot of standing around getting shot. but im getting a lot better at it. i can hold my own now :)

that cake looks delicious. between that and ace of cakes on the tv, i really want cake now!
I know Neil used to :rotfl2: at me he said I walked like a crab:lmao: Not any more though.
Sorry Karen didn't mean to start the cravings :)

Yummm fab looking cake Michelle.....thanks for making me hungry. :lmao:
I used to love SuperMario & Sonic the Hedgehog. :thumbsup2

Not played Epic Mickey, what's it like?

Sorry to you too Claire.

I love Super Mario...not so much sonic as the music gets on my nerves :)

I have Epic Mickey. I have not played on it in ages though, it's not as good as I was expecting it to be.

mmm thanks for the cake Michelle :) I hope Stephanie has had a lovely day despite the PS3 hiccup :)
Thanks Julie. She wasn't too impressed with having to go to college on her birthday, but we had a nice meal last night:thumbsup2

Belated :bday: birthday wishes from us too, I hope Stephanie had a lovely day :cool1:

Costco do the best birthday cakes ever :lovestruc I'm getting one for DH's birthday on Easter Sunday. MIL and SIL are coming up from Edinburgh to see him for his birthday, and are getting one from Costco for me and bringing it up with them :thumbsup2 the squidy balloons are my favourite :rotfl2:
Thank you Mary:)

The balloons are a little bit sweet for me...still nice though.

Hope you enjoy your cake as much as we are. It's never ending.

Did it taste as great as it looked? That's one thing I miss here, the cakes look really nice but don't taste very good. This one reminds me of Black Forest Cake, mmmmmmmmmmmm. :rotfl:

Love the luggage!
Yes Leanne it was very nice. There is still loads left so it looks like cake for breakfast, lunch, dinner and supper for a few weeks:lmao:

I am tempted to get the large one, but the only thing that's putting me off is it will have to go in the hold and they treat the cases really bad!

Good news - Steph's new PS3 came today and after another call to Playstation it is working:banana:

Steph also got a call from her interview but she is at college so we asked what it was about and they said it's potentially good news...they were singing her praises saying there were really impressed with her. So fingers crossed she got the job.

:):) wow that sounds great, almost gave me a shock though because I've not started my diet yet and i thought i'd miscounted !. You are so brave two cruise's so close together, it may take more than brocoli and cauliflour soup if it was me.
So we will have the insider gen on any changes on the magic.....not long now then:cloud9::cloud9::cloud9: so eat more soup it will be worth it !!!

Margaret, we are off our heads this year, check out my signature.... we have a 5 night on the Dream a month before the WBTA too :rotfl: Hopefully that won't be too much damage to shift in the month before the WBTA.

My whole year will be spent dieting I think :rotfl2:

:banana::banana:Hi does anybody have any information about the exercise classes that the magic offers. What’s the spin class like and what does it cost, do you have to book early in the cruise?
:thumbsup2 I fear I will need to do a few classes to counteract all the lovely food I will eat.:rotfl2:
Margaret

Beautiful morning to everyone! On this same subject, is there a website you can go on to see what classes they do offer.....maybe a little "latin-flava" zumba?!!!:yay: Was interested because I thought they just had a work-out room....didn't know they have classes.

Thanks and have a great day! :goodvibes

Margaret

Margaret, I like to workout on a cruise that is this long, so on the EBTA last year I took several of the exercise classes. They are all free as others have mentioned and I remember a few different classes offered each day (maybe like 3.) Classes were spinning, yoga, morning stretch, ab blaster, pilates and I think that might be all. I don't remember having to sign up in advance for any of the classes, but for spinning, I would recommend arriving a little early b/c a few times there weren't enough bikes.

SO I am on my bike last night, I finally got back to exercising, and I am watching food network, dumb I know while exercising, but what is the host making but banoffee pie, she called it banoffee mess, and I thought of all you Brits out there and the picture someone posted a week or so ago. She was making all British pub foods. Bangers & mash, cheddar and beer soup. How ironic. Looked exactly like the picture that was posted. She made the toffee by putting a can of sweetened condensed milk directly on the stove for 3 hours. I thought it was so ironic having never heard of it before to seeing it twice in a few weeks. I may just have to try it. My DH loves bananas. Just had to share.

That sounds yummy! I LOVE Food Network. Do you remember who the host was?

is anyone interested in joining us for a barcelona tour leaving from the airport after arrival on 9/9? We arrive very early (redeye flight) at 7:30 and cannot check into hotel until 2:00, so we are looking at a tour with pepito tours. The cost can be shared, as it is 395 euro for a group of 6. This is the company noel has used and recommends.

anyone interested?

Yay, DD got the job

Congrats to DD!

:lmao: The rest of the US needs to get online yet today!!!!! Plus, I haven't even booked our flights yet!!

Oh, I thought I was the only one holding out on our flights! I need to pay a couple of bills first. I'll probably book at the end of the month - when the new billing cycle begins on my Disney Visa. Might as well use their money for a month. :thumbsup2 Gives me time to get my money together to pay it. :rolleyes1

Yay, DD got the job

Congratulations to her! That's GREAT!

yes be very aware there is a problem ( do not have money/wallets in open accessable pockets ), travel light, also if you have luggage be aware to hold onto it, it is not unheard of for people to turn away and when they go to grab their luggage it’s gone.
Having said all that, don’t be put off, many people go to Barcelona without a problem, it is a very beautiful city with lots of great sights to see. Just be mindful of your surroundings and your belongings and you should have no problems
Yes on the whole the metro is easy to use, the main tourist stations we used had good disabled access. If you look on the metro map it will show which stations have disabled access.:banana::banana:

Try not to buy tickets for each journey…..:thumbsup2:thumbsup2:thumbsup2 they do a multi person journey travelcard. That’s one ticket for any number of people. We purchased a T10 which gave us ten journeys A one zone card is 7.85 euro and a two zone is 15.60 euro, for all the main sights we wanted ,we only needed a one zone, it’s much cheaper this way.
This link will help with disabled access questions and also travel tickets on another page

Hope this helps, don't be put off by the pickpocket issue, it's a lovely city, you just need to take care

margaret

Great advice from y'all - THANKS!

OK...I didn't realize folks hadn't booked flights yet. It looks like there are several people arriving on Friday, so I thought it was a done deal. It would be great to have a group to try to stay awake until we check into the hotel!:faint:

Thank you - I'll be sure to pass the congrat's onto her :)

We arrive on the 9/9 but not till late on in the afternoon and we're staying at the airport hotel so don't think we'll be venturing anywhere till later on in the evening.

Thanks everyone...I'm sure she''ll appreciate your replies.

She'll be working for Tesco Bank, so I think I will get some discount on my shopping :thumbsup2
