Disney6: I don't think you son NEEDS to have all new clothes like Oliver. If his clothes aren't worn out or too small, then I don't see why he would need all new outfits. I know I buy our children maybe 2 or three new outfits for a vacation, but not a new one for everyday. Unless you son is really clothes conscious, I wouldn't worry about it. If you really don't know how he will feel, you might want to ask him his opinion. I haven't gotten to that age yet, sorry I couldn't be more helpful.

G. on Survivor is embellishing the story I think. She stated that people have told her she brings this on herself, I think she does to get the attention. Why would you say it ok to him then go off and tell everyone the story. And tell it by adding a little more and more to the story. Also, For God's Sake what is she doing snuggling with another married man! I'm sorry if I was on an island that was going to be broadcasted all over the world, I wouldn't do anything that might get questioned or put my family into an awkward sitiuation since they aren't there to see eveything going on. I don't think he is "mr. innocent" either. When you ask to put your arm around someone other then your wife in that situation, you are asking for trouble. Anyways, neither one is my favorite. It is a good storyline! Keeps everyone interested and talking about the show!

Well, I'll check back later before I go to bed. I've got to have a "fix" to keep me sane til morning.

Congratulations Denine and Jerry! That is terrific news! Wow, you're going to be torn now! On one hand you won't want the cruise to end... on the other you won't be able to wait to bring your daughter home!

Here are more details. I am up at 3:30 AM because I am too excited to sleep!
Our new little girl was born on 9/25. She has blue eyes, dark hair and dimples. Jerry has dimples! She weighed 6lbs 15oz at birth. As of 10/3, she weighed 7lbs 7oz at the doctor.
I came home from work to find a message on the answering machine from our Social Worker that she had good news for us. I thought that some birthparents finally wanted to meet us. I called and she said "Are you ready to be a mom?" "How about next Wednesday?" I was crying on the phone. It was so unexpected!
We need to name her before we leave so they can do the paperwork. We haven't thought about names in so long. We have no idea!
I told our SW we couldn't pick her up next week because of our cruise. She called the foster mom who said it was fine to keep her until we got home. I figure, we will be resting up for who knows what??????
We went tonight and registered at Toys R Us, per Jerry's mom's instructions. We were walking up and down the aisles dumbfounded!
We need to buy a crib, carseat, and monitor before we leave and set up the room. I need to wash up the stuff I do have, plus get ready for vacation. I need to call my boss and tell her I need a few weeks off.
We are excited and scared to death at the same time. we didn't think this was ever going to happen!
I know I am rambling. I will definitely have pictures to show.
I can't wait to hold her!!!!!!!!!!!!!

How wonderful Denine......cruises are great but you are in for the time of your life.....nothing like a baby and especially when it is yours. I am so happy for you and Jerry....be sure and take lots of pictures of her homecoming and start a record of her life. Write down all the cute little things she will say....I wish I had with my children...you do forget.

DD#3 & I are off from work today but going to Lancaster, PA. to visit a co-worker/friend recovering from surgery.

If I don't go on the computer for a few days (I have to work) there are pages & pages to read! I feel like I am missing out on alot of news!

I guess I will stop complaining about everything I have left to do. Picking her name, getting the room ready, and packing for two cruises --- you will definitely need the cruise to rest up for the next phase of your life!

Denine- I am Sooooo happy for you! I cried when I read your
post. How exciting!! You have got to keep us posted after the
cruise. We need a reunion cruise next Oct so we can all see the
little princess.

It has been a busy morning. I did get some sleep. I washed up more stuff and found a 2nd crib sheet, yeah! The room is Pooh, of course. I bought a baby's first year Pooh calandar. I am going to fill in stuff like when the adoption agency called.
My mom has already ordered stuff from Penney's and is going to Kohls today. My MIL is going to have a baby shower for us at our house, much easier, on Nov. 10.
I called work, my boss is really excited for us.
Jerry left work at 11 AM. We have a lot of shopping to do.
I will deifinitely be taking pictures and video of todays visit.
The January cruise has been cancelled. I just haven't taken it out of my sig line yet. Our TA was so excited, we talk like old friends. We are still going to try to go to WDW in January, we have to get out of here in the winter. If it was a Disney cruise in January, we may still be going, but we didn't think Belize and Guatemala were appropriate for an infant.
We need to buy a car seat, any suggestions?

Denine, I read your posts and cry. I am so happy for you. I wish I could do it all over again. It is such a special time of your life. Like the others have said. Take tons of pictures, videos and record all her stepping stones. You DO forget. She sounds beautiful. Can't wait to see pictures.

"Mom", we leave out of DIA on the 18th. We leave around 11 on Frontier. When are you leaving?

Well we were suppose to leave the l3th out of Denver but they called Barb and changed the plans from Denver to CS and not on a big plane but a little one that holds 50 people. I don't like to fly to begin with and then to be told I have to go on a little plane (probably old at that)...doesn't seem right to have to pay for a big plane and then get switched to a little one for the same price.
These airlines have you right where they want you and you are helpless...no wonder they are having problems.
