Anyone renew their Sirius XM radio subscription lately?

Despite my van having Apple CarPlay, I do enjoy Sirius XM for a number of reasons:

It works so good in a pinch when I need music in the car for my kids. Prior to SiriusXM, my wife had essentially trained my toddlers to be able to request songs on-demand. "Mommy play this song, ok now mommy play this song". When I'd get in the car, I'd tell them no, I'm just going to put on a playlist, and they'd get all upset. It took about a month, but I trained them that whatever is on Disney Radio is what we are listening to, and that commercials are OK once in a while. It's a much better attitude and expectation now!

Also, usually when we get in the car, we are ready to hit the road and go, and I hate having to spend 3 minutes opening Apple Music and trying to find something unique/different to listen to (so we don't default to the same playlist everytime that might start with the same 5 songs everytime... yes I'm aware of shuffle, I'm just lazy)

Also, there have been times where my phone just isn't getting service and I can't load a new song on Apple Music, and SiriusXM just works constantly, which I appreciate. I also appreciate not having to have my phone constantly being used while I drive. I can just set it on the console and go. I prefer having the interface and controls from the car, and not from my phone.

That being said, I've been paying only $4.21/month for Sirius based on a new-user promo we got with the minivan. We're about 9-months in and I've grown to really enjoy the convenience of Sirius XM, but I don't want to pay $20+/month just for friggen Disney Radio lol.

I'm hoping I can find one of these subscriptions you guys talked about for existing users or for people threatening to cancel.
Actually iHeart… a free app… has a Disney station. Does have limited ads though.

Appreciate the heads up. I don't use iHeart so I'm unfamiliar with the format, but isn't this just a Disney playlist? I prefer a true radio that has variation (i.e. you can't skip because it's not a predetermined playlist). Free is free, but I do have Apple Music already, and could just find a Disney playlist there if needed.

Read the post I just posted a few days ago. I have been doing renewal like that for years

iHeart is largely a network of FCC licensed radio stations they and other third parties own. Yeah it is a playlist… but you can also download offline.

We keep SiriusXM on the car so that we can play music while using Car Play for GPS mapping.
I have a Sirius subscription on my car. I downloaded the app, plugged the phone into my wife's car and then used Google Maps and listened to Sirius on my wife's car from my phone. Have you tried it? It might work. I plan to drive down to Disney this way so I don't have to pay for a new plan on my wife's car.

Our Sirius plan covers our car, our phones and our iPads. We tried using Google Maps and SiriusXM on DH’s phone at the same time but had problems (can’t remember what now), plus DH likes to keep the phone in his belt holster instead of plugging it into power in the car, and the battery runs down too fast. So we’re happy to have our separate sources!

The Disney Resort Radio station is ad free, minus one ad when you initially click on it and runs 24/7. It also has a pretty nice variety ranging from classic to modern live action and animated films, park songs, DCOM songs, and some nice official instrumental covers mixed in as well.

We did this on a road trip last week. We did have to up our data plan.

I completely cancelled mine at the end of December...I was on a $5 month deal..they offerd me $7.99 a month to stay. I said no.
At the end of March...I got a mailer for 3 months totally free..no cred it card required. I said Ok...now a month later for that same radio they said " I hope you are enjoying a free trial, would you like to stay with us for the rest of the year for $2 a month" I said yes

So i paid $12 for 9 months ( 3 months free and 3 months at $2)

I use the app in my wife's car on her Carplay.

Good Deal!

I also bought the lifetime subscription in 2006 for $400. They have let me transfer it to any new vehicle over the years for a small fee.

Ended up cancelling, $7.99 was their lowest offer. Guess we’ll stick with streaming with wireless CarPlay.

I have not read the previous 22(plus) pages

I had 3 months free after a dealer visit...then I got a 3.99 offer for 12 months and took it.

A couple of days ago I called in.....I am at about 10.5 months into my sub and had questions about when I should call in to cancel at the end....I did not want to pay 25ish dollars to continue.

They "searched" for a promo and offered 7.99. I said no thank you and mentioned the 3 yr/99 dollar promo I had seen on the web.

They said that was for invitation only...not for me.

I was ready to wrap up the call when the agent checked "one more thing"

Well, well....it was a Festivus Miracle!

They were able to offer me 12 more months from now (really it starts about 12 days from now) for 3.99 per month.

I took it.

My calendar is marked to call them 11 months from now.

Do you know what the particular plan is? We get the Music & Entertainment & are paying $5.99 + tax this year. Wondering if we can get it a few dollars less.
