Actually iHeart… a free app… has a Disney station. Does have limited ads though.Despite my van having Apple CarPlay, I do enjoy Sirius XM for a number of reasons:
It works so good in a pinch when I need music in the car for my kids. Prior to SiriusXM, my wife had essentially trained my toddlers to be able to request songs on-demand. "Mommy play this song, ok now mommy play this song". When I'd get in the car, I'd tell them no, I'm just going to put on a playlist, and they'd get all upset. It took about a month, but I trained them that whatever is on Disney Radio is what we are listening to, and that commercials are OK once in a while. It's a much better attitude and expectation now!
Also, usually when we get in the car, we are ready to hit the road and go, and I hate having to spend 3 minutes opening Apple Music and trying to find something unique/different to listen to (so we don't default to the same playlist everytime that might start with the same 5 songs everytime... yes I'm aware of shuffle, I'm just lazy)
Also, there have been times where my phone just isn't getting service and I can't load a new song on Apple Music, and SiriusXM just works constantly, which I appreciate. I also appreciate not having to have my phone constantly being used while I drive. I can just set it on the console and go. I prefer having the interface and controls from the car, and not from my phone.
That being said, I've been paying only $4.21/month for Sirius based on a new-user promo we got with the minivan. We're about 9-months in and I've grown to really enjoy the convenience of Sirius XM, but I don't want to pay $20+/month just for friggen Disney Radio lol.
I'm hoping I can find one of these subscriptions you guys talked about for existing users or for people threatening to cancel.
