I'm glad that everyone agrees with my math. So now I have a pair of Mickey Ghost 17s coming my way. Was tempted by the Rapunzel Ghosts but I already have a pair of pink running shoes in rotation.

Emails starting to go out for for cancellations of some of the Brooks orders, with a note that they are *not* restocking. I don't know if that means no restocks for just the current window or if there are no plans to bring any of these pairs back for Springtime Surprise.

Was looking at our race pics from the weekend and I noticed that none of us got any castle pics. I am guessing because it was so crowded coming down the castle that our bibs were hidden.

Which reminds me, never seen this before. Two ladies had just ran down the castle ramp, and apparently didn't like that people were in front of them for the pics. They turned around and ran back up the ramp and then back down again to get their pictures taken again. I was like what the heck as I saw people coming up stream. LOL.

The worst I saw this weekend was the people behind me on the ramp organizing themselves to link arms. Based on my pics, there were 5 or 6 of them, so that's pretty rude.

I actually had a much better on-course experience this weekend than the last few; I spent a lot less time cursing at people in my head, and I'm pretty sure it's not because I've magically become more patient and understanding

I did this last year for the Epcot ball pics. It was the first time I had seen PP taking pictures of us running in front of the globe and I was like, no way am I missing that opportunity

Can we just talk about Merida for a minute? I love that Disney leaned into her so hard this weekend! I also wanted to put these pics together to see if any of the CMs were the same, and indeed they were. The same Queen was at platinum pick-up and on the 5K course, and the same Merida was at platinum and on the half course. I'm guessing she was also at the reunion photo before/after the 5K. (ETA: Confirmed after checking herding_cats photo!) I hope rD and Disney were taking notes and start to include her in more things!

I’m back with an addendum to my initial PHM review to add this: the combination of course layout and severe drought meant that I was able to run WAY more of this race on grass than I usually can at WDW. And that made me a very happy princess! I feel so much more comfortable and fluid on dirt and grass than pavement, which usually makes WDW races hard on me. I think having as much grass time as I did really increased my enjoyment.

Yes, but thank goodness for the bus driver who literally stood in a giant pothole in that construction zone behind Poly!

Negative feedback: If you're going to keep doing the yoga event, put it back on expo day. I don't need to add a whole extra day to my trip just for that. Also it could be cool to do yoga at AK. Logistics are just as easy as at Studios but the setting is way more Zen imho.

Positive feedback: I liked the extra time between waves. It seemed to lead to less congestion on the course and shorter character lines. I also liked that they put out more characters for the 5K. And the tributes to Jeff Galloway were really nicely balanced. They gave his death the appropriate attention without making newbies feel awkward or that the whole weekend feel like it was about him.

I saw that too, except during the 10k in Epcot. Completely threw me off.

I just want to say thank you to everyone here for the inspiration. This was my first runDisney race and first 10k and I had such a great time. I'm looking at SS in 2027, hopefully will see some of you there!
