question about makeup in the parks

i have a question...anyone who wears makeup in the parks-are you allergic to the sun or sun sensitive? i am, and i never wear makeup in the parks, as i have to reapply sunscreen at least twice during the day to keep the rash from the UV light away. i normally wear a mineral makeup foundation at home. i know i could wear sunscreen under it at the parks, but could i apply sunscreen over it later in the day?

I always wear makeup...foundation, powder, eyeshadow, liner (if I feel like it!) mascara, bronzer (again...if I feel like it!), and lip gloss.

I haven't really had a problem since we go during the cooler months. I don't worry about sunscreen, and suprisingly my makeup has always stayed pretty well. The liquid foundations always seem to cover more than the "mousses" or "whipped" foundations, and they stay on longer! :thumbsup2

I REALLY want to try that Revlon 16 hour or something foundation...maybe THAT will stay in place on my skin! It's strange, because my skin is normally fairly dry so I have no clue what happens to my makeup because it certainly doesn't run off my face!! :confused3:rotfl:

Nope...but then again I rarely wear make-up anyway.
Don't forget the sunscreen tho'!

Nope...but it is also a rare occasion that I wear it at home.

I have super super sensitive skin and I can only wear makeup for a few hours at a time before I start to itch and breakout so I will never see the point of wearing it to the park...at least not for me.

I also have to reapply sunscreen like every 2 hours so I have enough stuff on my face as it is. I don't need to have another layer of stuff to wash off after a long day at the parks

Another vote for dying/tinting your eyelashes for your trip. I do it anyway but it is extra nice to have it done right before a WDW trip. I have blonde lashes so it makes ALL the difference! Then, all I really need is some bare minerals powder and lip balm or lipstick and I look polished enough for photos but don't have to worry about melting makeup!

Maybe just a little mascara, but mostly nothing. Won't forget the sunscreen, though. Maybe that's why I don't have to wear make-up? :rotfl:

Our trip to Disney is always the time for me to buy new makeup. I only wear it when going to the city, even then mostly mascara, shadow, liner and lip gloss. I have a darker tone skin and don't need to wear foundation unless it is for a super dress occasion.

For Disney I get new Almay mascara and liner. Just a nice tone of shadow and usually a lighter lip gloss. I do have a compact of light pressed powder but don't use it much.

I am very allergic to make up so all hypo for me and used sparingly.

Agreed, for pictures I try to look better with make up. Every little bit helps after 50.

Call me vain, but YES, I WEAR MAKE UP in the parks. I am a daily make up wearer....I do heavy to light, depending on where Im going. But in the parks, I do my usual face.

Bare minerals powder, eyeliner, eyeshadow, mascara, blush and light lip gloss. ;)
I dont care if its 200 degrees, the mineral powder DOES NOT run, or feel cakey.
And I sweat, but im lucky in I dont sweat profusly, so I just dab it off when I do.

I dont know, just because Im on vacation, doesnt mean I have to look like a troll who doesnt care about herself. LOL...but thats just me. ;)

HELP I need something to hid the redness on face when I get hot but don't want a heavy make up. Med to dark complexion with very dry skin. Seems like all foundations end up looking like chalk on me face they always to light!

I don't wear makeup on a daily bases, but with all the pictures..I thought I should at least try some water proof mascara. Oh and then I had to get the eye makeup remover for water proof.

Leaving on Sunday:banana:

I always wear it, I don't go without it at home and disney is no excuse.I have learned how to apply it so that it doesn't budge ...even in the heat and humidity

So in case any of you didn't know - for those who wear makeup & it gets a little warm & you start to "glow" then you can cut up a coffee liner thingy to use to dab off the excess moisture from your face. It doesn't remove the makeup, just the "glowing effect". It was a tip I learned from my sorority during RUSH week.

Or even better - get some Oil-Blotting sheets. I think Clean & Clear makes then, although store brands are cheaper. I use these every day, but in Disney they are #1 on my packing list!!

I also burn in the sun, so I put on my fancy oil-free face sunscreen (I like the Neutrogena kind), let it dry, then add concealer where needed, and some pressed powder so I'm not super shiny.

I also wear waterproof mascara and maybe a little eyeliner - this is only because my eyelashes are literally white, and I look like a dead person without it. ;)

During the "park day", the only thing I touch up is the oil-blotting sheets, add sunscreen as needed, add concealer if needed. I don't worry about it too much! :thumbsup2

I always wear make-up.

Last year in extreme heat that is September, I wore my normal make-up:

Bare Minerals Foundation
Lipgloss
Mascara
Vanilla Bare Minerals eye shadow

I had no problems at all. Just make sure you put a layer of sunscreen on under it all!

I do not wear makeup in the parks....Yes I look better with makeup, I also look better in heels, but I don't wear those either!:lmao:

I agree....I do use concealer under my eyes to cover the dark circles caused by my chemo and anemia:)

I always wear makeup even when I'm just hanging around the house so I definetly wear it to the parks. I have a very uneven skintone and my eyelashes are too fair, I don't like the way I look in pictures without it.

I wear light makeup most of the time. I wear it in the parks because of family pictures. I also do not want to frighten small children.

I am fortunate to have olive skin that doesn't need anything. I used to try at Disney but when it is gone before rope drop what is the point? I use mascara and gloss and am happy.

Anyone else find it ironic there is a makeup ad at the bottom of this page?

I go in the cooler months so I wear full make-up, same stuff I use everyday. I might go 10 days out of the year without it, maybe.

Nope-don't wear it at home, don't wear it in WDW!

(My mother had to BEG me to put on make-up for my Disney Wedding 11 years ago!!)

My definition of a make-up routine is Chapstick! :rotfl2:
