Val & I didn't get off the ship last year in Nassau. But I will say that Chris Wing's description of Atlantis over dinner that night sounded pretty interesting. Still, I'm not at all sure we will debark in Nassau this trip either.

We are going to have to see what is scheduled DIS wise on Nassau day. Deb could change her mind. We'll just have to see the schedule in the ensuing months.

Unless Deb does a 360, I'll be going to Atlantis on Nassua. She wants to see the resort/casino but does not care about the waterpark/beach. So I need to research the ala-carte options for Atlantis. It won't be a DCL excursion I'll tell you that. I would personally like to do the segway tour on Nassua but if I could just stay on the ship instead I'd do that too.

We went to Atlantis on the Nassau day. We didn't do an excursion, we just took a taxi over there and a water taxi back to the boat. The "taxi" was a broken down minivan in which was held together w/duct tape and the driver was crazy - however, being from NY and frequenting NYC that doesn't scare us as it would probably scare others. We hung out in the casino, looked at the shops and walked around Atlantis. It was enough for us, and wasn't the expense of an official excursion.

The tough thing about planning, or even thinking this far in advance, is that there is limited time for the official DIS events and, at least last time, those were on the Nassau day and the day at sea. I would think the schedule would be similar - maybe even tougher because of the sheer numbers this time.

We plan on getting off at Nassau, but not for long...my daughter wants to just buy "something" from a foreign country...I told her that the DIS events will take priority

Mindy! You'll be missed. Stuff happens - I understand. However, we'll have to find another time to make trouble. You coming to Hershey? Indianapolis? If not - we'll hope for cheaper airfares for a pre- or post-cruise WDW visit!
