Hello, we are cloth diaper users (Fuzzibunz) :laundy: and were wondering if there is a local diaper service that can accommadate us on our WDW trip coming up in a month! Thanks!

Hey, look at this!

:)

This part might be a problem, but you can just ask if there are other arrangements you can make:

"Once a week, remove the pail liner, close up the sack, and place outside the door."

I personally would just bring the FBs and wash 'em. But I have a strong allergy to chlorine bleach and most of those places use that.

Wait...FAQs are wonderful...

"Your diapers will go through a cold water wash, a hot water wash, and two cold water rinse cycles. We use Country Save detergent and OxiClean Baby. Bleach and fabric softeners are not used. "

Nice!

We just wash them ourselves, (we are FB users for nearly 8 years now). I bring or have the detergent delivered, (Bi-o-kleen). I even hand washed in 5 star in Jamaica, sun dried them on the terrace, hand washed in a marble sink :) We have always had luck traveling with FBs.

I have tried G diapers, and like them a lot to. Less to wash.

And, the Gro Baby diapers also have a biodegradable, or multi-use shell system

We use gdiapers in WDW, we love them. There is much less to wash. We went when DD was 2 mos and 8 mos with them and we'll be going again for her 1st birthday in a couple weeks. At 2 mos she was having lots of dirty diapers a day and I would just hand wash them in the sink. By 8 mos, she was only going once a day and with 6 covers, I had no need to handwash. I just put them in a wetbag and washed once we got home. You can reuse the cover and liner over again, the liners dry really quickly. We bought an extra 2 pack just in case.

I really love them and would use them at home if they weren't so expensive. At home we use prefolds and covers, so gdiapers are basically the same thing. We actually use them at home too, with a prefold in the liner instead of the g insert.

Awesome info! I was wondering what we were going to do in Orlando. We use a service, and I really didnt want to use disposables on our trip to WDW.

I was wondering this too. We fuzzibunz as well. I only have 14 that ds can wear-he's almost ready for the large size. I was wondering how much trouble it would be to wash them at CBR. I usually wash every 3 days. We are staying for 7 days. I didn't want to use a service. We use charlie's soap-it's the only thing that doesn't break out the kiddos.

Thanks!

Wow! I am so glad I asked! I have ordered a gdiaper starter kit, one extra little g, a case of refills and two extra liner thingys...will that be enough for a week?? Any tips on avoiding leaks? I've heard they're an issue!:yay:

I've never had a leak issue in g's. I think some people assume that the plastic liner should catch everything in a dirty diaper. It's not supposed to. The gpants will get dirty. But as far as pee goes, I've never had a leak issue. They absorb really well.

I would recommend more gpants though. A starter pack only comes with 2 and you ordered one extra? How old is your little one? When we went w/ DD at 2 mos and she was exclusively breastfed we only had 4 gpants (we ordered 2 starter packs) and I was hand washing them in the sink every night. It wasn't a big deal, but now that she's on solids, I wouldn't go near them to hand wash, yuk! We have six now and since I don't do wash on vacation, every time she poops, I toss it into the wetbag till we get home. Not to be gross, but how many times a day is your little one going? If it's more than once a day, I'd suggest getting a few more. Maybe buy another starter pack? With 3 gpants, if there's more than one poopy diaper a day, you're going to have to do wash every day. Even if it's only one a day, you're still going to have to do laundry several times while you're there. I'm just too lazy :)

Have a great trip and hope you like the g's as much as I do!

Wow! Thanks for the advice. She pees a lot but mostly only poops once a day-and it's pretty solid unless she's cutting a tooth. Do you think two more will do? I wash our Fuzzi Bunz about every day and a half but I didn't want to worry about machine washing on vacation. I don't THINK I'll have a problem with hand washing...I hope I don't eat those words! I don't think you can be a washable diaper person if Poop talk bugs you!

haha, that's true! If it's solid, then you probably won't dirty too many covers, so I would say 2 more, for a total of 5 would be fine! I'd just bring a few of your cloth diapers for the last day/travel day, just in case. We needed to bust into our cloth at the airport waiting for our very delayed flight. We would have made it home, but our plane was delayed 6 hrs. We were so glad we brought the cloth!

Okay so I bought one more starter pack and the girly girl ruffle gpants-cause they were too cute! I think I'm ready to go! YAY!

I'm not sure about the baby centers at WDW, but the one at DL has a cloth diaper wash basin. It's kind of like a big bidet that you can use to rinse out cloth diapers that are soiled. Awesome! It's been there since the park opened. The ladies told me that it doesn't get used too often.
