One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

That hula hoop could be worn out by the time christmas comes, I have seen the child in action with one :thumbsup2

Where to beginning? I will also probably forget most of what I wanted to say too.

I have missed you! :goodvibes

YAY!!!!!!!! to be going back to Florida/Disney!!!:cheer2: That private pool looks awesome!!!

We are so excited, I really can't believe it! :yay::banana::yay:

Love all the pictures of all the different updates and yay to meeting another DISer.

When are you coming to meet me IRL?? popcorn::

We also had snow flurries on the 12th but ours were way smaller than your big flakes! I LOVE snow!

It was fun to see them, thy could have stayed around a bit longer.

Glad for the good report after Lisa's MRI and all the other good medical news.

I feel so incredibly thankful! It would have been bad if what he thought was true. :cloud9:

Tracy ~ Praying for your new nephew. His big brother was adorable in the owl costume (It looked like an owl to me).

I would suggest if you guys don't think you will like the food at BoG to get cupcakes they are delicious and it would be a good way to go in and see it.

I really do love this idea, Robyn suggested the same thing.

If you guys haven't picked a restaurant yet and I can not pick just one either, here are my suggestions...

MK
Crystal Palace (Any meal)

We had breakfast here, yummy! :)

Epcot
Via Napoli (Lunch or Dinner) We love there pizza!!

Resorts
Big River Grille - Boardwalk
Grand Floridian Cafe

I haven't eaten at any of the other ones.

Things are well here just busy. I am leading the children's music every 1st week of the month and our woman's singing every third week at our bible study and I have been learning a lot of new songs which keeps me preoccupied. I will learn to help with the sound system soon too and it is really nice to be useful.

Glad all is well! Yea for touching so many lives. :goodvibes

My sister will be in town visiting Tuesday - Monday next week and James' birthday is the 20th.

You are so blessed to have a sister who loves you and wants to spend time with you! Happy early BD to James!!

We are hosting thanksgiving this year for both sides of our family and I am cooking my first turkey ever so I am hoping it comes out well.

It will just be Pete, the children and I. I invited my family, but they preferred to go to a restaurant, that is what they like...we don't, it doesn't feel like a holiday to me at a restaurant. You are gong to do a GREAT JOB!!! :thumbsup2

We have also been trying to fix Annabelle eating habits again and she is improving just at a very slow pace with lots of fighting and tears for her and us. It is very trying and I know it pales in comparison, but if you could just pray for my husband and myself to deal with her in the way God desires I would appreciate it.

Parenting isn't easy. I applaud you for working on this while she is young and staying diligent! NO PRAYER is ever to small for God!! Or for us to lift up!:hug:

Praying for all on this thread and I hope everyone is doing well.

Thank you Rachel!

Judy I am hoping to upload some photos of our Sept trip onto photobucket and post sorry it takes me so long.

I am looking forward to that! :yay:

Also thank you for the sweet compliments on Annabelle's Cinderella costume.

She is such a pretty little girl.

Ladylyons ~ Your kids costumes were awesome!!!

I agree!! :thumbsup2

Judy and Tracy, fab pool at the house! What a great treat to have the heated pool to enjoy!
I know I am looking forward to it. :beach:

Lisa asked for a hula hoop for Christmas. I had a gift card, so I sent Pete to the store over the weekend to pick it up. I just returned home to find her playing with it in the garage...my DH had left it by the door covered by a baby blanket, that was too small to cover it (I had been told it was hidden away :rotfl2:)...she still believes in Santa, as far as we know, so whatcha going to do? :confused3 :lmao: I believe I will enjoy the look of pure happiness on her face at an unexpected present!

:lmao: Great find Lisa :upsidedow

ICE???? In the pool???? Lisa and I would :fant

The girls want to sleep in the same room, big surprise, so the guys can have their own room. The girls are used to sleeping in the same bed, so that is probably what we will try to make happen.

I forgot you said it could snow year round where you are ....:scared1::scared1: That is why yo wrangle caribou and I do not...

I could just imagine your reaction if it was that cold :rotfl: Hopefully it will be warm while we are in Florida.
There is 5 bedrooms so hopefully we won't fight too much over them :rolleyes1
It can snow...but it never sticks in the summer and you have lots of sun in the summer :sunny:

97 woud be preferable...seriously!
97 are you trying to make Tracy soup!?! :stir:
:rotfl:

Girl, you are asking the wrong woman! I have absolutely no idea 'cause I'm just as techologically challenged as you are. Aren't we a fine pair? :rotfl2: I would ask Hunter but he's not where I can ask him.

Hellllooooooo! Anybody out there can help Judy out. I'm betting that she'd win with the great pics she has.

Oops, I hit reply before I could say that I hope you feel better. Get out the lemons or lemonade to help with the headache. It helps me.
Thank you my darling, i did se the lemonade and i DID feel better! YOu and I are quite the tech pair. :lmao:
Judy - have you asked you kids about instagram? I bet one of them will know how to do it. I can't help you otherwise, sorry :cutie:
Poor things, they do NOT know how to do that stuff...well, MAYBE they do, they just don't own the right stuff to do it!
Instagram is a photo sharing app, but there is an option on the website to enter without having one! Just click "Enter without sharing a HOB Memory" on the right side and it just gives you an option to upload :thumbsup2 That may be the quickest option! Feel better, Judy!
Thank you Courtney...I bet you could do it in your sleep!

You two crack me up. But I don't do Instagram either. I don't like hashtags :rotfl:

Good thing Courtney is around I would take her suggestion:

:thumbsup2
Oh to be young and in the know like Courtney! :thumbsup2

I know that hashtags go in front of words but I have NO idea why! :lmao:

Actually for the contest, you can't share a photo unless you instagram or tweet. If you use the alternate entry, you only provide your email address. I just entered. Thanks Lisa. :goodvibes
Judy, I hope you feel better today and things are easier.
I entered too. :goodvibes
Judy and Tracy, fab pool at the house! What a great treat to have the heated pool to enjoy! Fun Spot and DTD photos were great. Agree, Rainforest was okay but nothing special for the money. The monkeys were cute!
Thank you for being here Allyson! :goodvibes:goodvibes I liked the monkeys as well.

Did you make it to the fairgrounds in Charlotte last weekend? How was the Expo?

For Instagram, go to their site and set up your account. I use from my iPad or phone so not sure on PC how it works. But you should be able to click on a camera icon to take or add photo. You can click on another icon to find you photo in your files, change the appearance, etc, add your caption and the hashtag (#) you need so it will show for the hob. If you want pm me and I'll send you my number....I can walk you through it over the phone.

Sorry to hear surgery may be in your future and all the car issues. Hang in there....almost disney time!
Thank you for the kind offer to help me. I need to find out if it would work on my MAC.

I keep telling myself, this too shall pass. With all of the sad news in the world, it isn't hard to remember we have it good! :goodvibes

Have a fabulous weekend!! :goodvibes

Don't you just love our husbands? I know they mean well, but seriously? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

But I'm glad Lisa is enjoying her gift.
I Know Kathy, I truly couldn't believe it. I could have gotten upset or just enjoyed the joy on Lisa's face. I took a deep breath and enjoyed the joy. :goodvibes I DO wonder how they think so differently than us. :confused3
Leaving the hula hoop out where Lisa could see/find it sounds like a man thing. I have to tell you, I just read a TR about a lady who was having a very bad/sad day at DHS and her boyfriend began to dance her around in the middle of the street and changed her day around, it was sweet. I guess they mean well. :confused3
That is a sweet story. :goodvibes

I just had to shake my head when I saw how/where he left it...

That hula hoop could be worn out by the time christmas comes, I have seen the child in action with one :thumbsup2
You are so right. :lmao: Lisa loves hula hoops! After playing with the ones at the walk, she added it to her Christmas list. :thumbsup2 YOu should have seen me try to hula hoop today ;)...it wasn't pretty! :lmao:

:lmao: Great find Lisa :upsidedow
When I saw where it was and how he "hid" it...I just shook my head...

I HOPE it is warm! :thumbsup2 If it is 40 degrees you will think it is warm! Truly North and South here. :lmao: Ha Ha on the 5 bedroom fights...I told Pete if he made me mad, he could have his own bedroom. :rotfl2: He said no....It was funny, the guys don't mind sharing, but when I told them they could have a bedroom each they were thrilled. When I asked the girls they said they wanted to share...but were thrilled to hear they could have their own bathroom. They always share with Pete and I, so to have thier own bathroom thrilled them! :thumbsup2

97 are you trying to make Tracy soup!?! :stir:
:rotfl:

That is too funny! It would just feel like bath water! :thumbsup2

We are on our way out the door, but I just saw Miles on GMA (The little wish child Sandra told us about), they are going to highlight his wish...how exciting!!! He is ADORABLE!!!

I'll have to check that out online!! I followed his adventures today and couldn't help but smile and cry all at the same time!! Some of the pictures I saw you could just see the smile on his face.

It is driving me if we only had three brand new vehicles and no mechanical problems.... I will get right on that. I will send you a new one too!

You need new vehicles a whole lot sooner than I do. Thankfully ours are running fine and we're fine. If I won the lottery the first thing I'd do is buy both of us new vehicles, fix your house and take us all to WDW!!! Oh wait I guess I should start playing first. :lmao:

I know I said this on your thread, but I am proud of you!

And I'll say it again..... THANK YOU!!! I appreciate all the support.

GREAT price and deal on that nativity, the children will love that, even when they are grown!

It was and I can't wait to pull it out and let them set it up and play with it. It's LP so there's no way I'll keep James from wanting to play with it.

YIKES! Praying no damage!!

Nope no damage. We're good. They did feel it at the school but from what I could find out the kids were running around so that's probably why they didn't feel it.

Ahhh what a sweet gift!! Well at least she's enjoying it. Poor DH for not thinking to cover it with something bigger.

Told you I was crying off and on all day long!!!

Hope your feeling better very soon!!

Judy, I have been watching the whole story unfold all day on the local news. Make a Wish and San Francisco totally rock! The "Batmobiles" are owned by a wealthy San Francisco resident that wanted no one to know. The whole thing was amazing.

Wasn't it fun to follow? I think it's awesome that a city like San Francisco did all that they did to make this little boys wish come true.

I got caught up again, it seems I get caught up just to fall behind again.

Congratulations on getting a house for the trip to Florida. That is nice that it has a private heated pool.

Judy, hope that everything is going good and you are feeling better. How is Lisa's therapy with the sports doctor going so far? I know how it is to have one car and need more hopefully Pete will find the right car soon.

My dad is doing okay. He went to the pulmonary doctor yesterday for a follow up from when he was in the hospital. His lungs look a lot better but there is still a little bit of fluid in the crevice of his lung, that the doctor said might never go away. I am slightly irritated with my step mom and my dad's home health doctor because they started messing with his pain medicines for his trigeminal neuralgia, because they wanted to try and get him off of some of them, and now the pain is back and they can't get it back under control even with the same med combo he was on before. I just don't understand why they wanted to mess with something that has actually been working. Other than that he is doing great and is happy to be home.

Thought and prayers to all that need them.

Marilyn

Every time I caught a glimpse of the story, I thought of you! :goodvibes I saw his smile, but I saw his PARENTS faces just as much. I know what it meant to them!

You need new vehicles a whole lot sooner than I do. Thankfully ours are running fine and we're fine. If I won the lottery the first thing I'd do is buy both of us new vehicles, fix your house and take us all to WDW!!! Oh wait I guess I should start playing first. :lmao:

SO much could be done if we just played...and WON the lottery!

SOMEDAY!

And I'll say it again..... THANK YOU!!! I appreciate all the support.

YOu always have it! :thumbsup2

It was and I can't wait to pull it out and let them set it up and play with it. It's LP so there's no way I'll keep James from wanting to play with it.

OH NO WAY James can't have it, that set is MADE to be played with! If I had one, I would play with it!

Nope no damage. We're good. They did feel it at the school but from what I could find out the kids were running around so that's probably why they didn't feel it.

Yea for no damage and distracted children!

Ahhh what a sweet gift!! Well at least she's enjoying it. Poor DH for not thinking to cover it with something bigger.

Poor DH??? SNORT, poor me, now I have to come up with and pay for another gift. :lmao: Did I mention we had gotten two sizes (she loves to do tricks with them) and I THOUGHT she only saw one, because there was only one out there when I found her? Seems PETE already KNEW she had found BOTH of them, he "hoped" she hadn't seen the other one and and so he FINALLY hid it away. A little probing and she told me there had been two, but one disappeared...so now she will have one to share with Rachel, as soon as Pete digs it our from where he hid it...poor DH indeed! :rotfl2::lmao:

But Princess Lisa is having a ball, so how could I deny her? :confused3 Life is very short.

Told you I was crying off and on all day long!!!

With good reason AND you are hormonal!

Hope your feeling better very soon!!

ME TOO!!! It seems that since I finally went to the MD I am falling apart! :rotfl2:

Wasn't it fun to follow? I think it's awesome that a city like San Francisco did all that they did to make this little boys wish come true.

Too Bad MAW doesn't let the public get involved more often, I think it would help fundraising efforts!

I saw that about the cars on the news, it is amazing what people will do, if you JUST give them the opportunity! God Bless all of them!! :thumbsup2
I got caught up again, it seems I get caught up just to fall behind again.

I know the feeling!. We will be here when you can be.

Congratulations on getting a house for the trip to Florida. That is nice that it has a private heated pool.

That was a HUGE weight off of Tracy's and my shoulders! :thumbsup2

Judy, hope that everything is going good and you are feeling better. How is Lisa's therapy with the sports doctor going so far? I know how it is to have one car and need more hopefully Pete will find the right car soon.

Therapy for the injury has been gong well, I think she is almost at a point where we can go back to just "regular" therapy and continue the sports stuff at home, I think just another few weeks will do it! Thanks for asking, there is always so much going on, I usually forget to go back and fill everyone in. At least Tracy is getting us in out of town mode, when Andrea and Lisa came to see us last summer, they got a taste of how wild it can get around here...and that was on a week, I had moved a ton of appts around.

Continued prayers for your Dad!. He and all of you have had a long road, I can't help but think back to last year this time and how sick my Dad was. I pray they can get your Da'd pain regulated, that is a HORRIBLE, jarring pan and very difficult to get balanced, I am so sorry to hear this. Prayers for that specific need as well as the others.:hug:

Are you working?? YEA!!!!! Praise God for a job! :yay::yay:

The pool looks wonderful. It may look small but they're really a good size, usually 24-28 feet. We only have a 12x12 splash pool in our townhouse. I'm sure you will enjoy it at 87 degrees. They have regulations down here about how warm pools can be. We've always thought the water felt great. We did have one house that the spa was actually a hot tub, otherwise they just bubble and are a little warmer than the pool. Our pool heat went out in our townhouse. The owner had me check a couple things before he called for repairs. It was a quick fix but the guy turned the heat up, WAY UP. Mostly we were swimming early in the day when it was just right. The heat pumps shut off at night. But last night we were home early and went in and it was like a hot tub. Not very refreshing at all, although my daughter back in Minnesota didn't think that was a bad thing. But when you want to cool off after a hot day it was. Anyway the owner had told me how to turn up the heat to check it, so I also knew how to turn it down. We are taking a day off from the parks and plan on really using it and just floating around in it today. I used to love hula hoops as a kid, now I think I'm just too big around the middle. My grandkids laughed at me when I tried theirs. Laughing at how Pete hid it. I'm glad you could look on the bright side and just enjoy Lisa using it.

I love the direct from Disney updates! :goodvibes

OKay, I concede 97 degrees may be TOO hot. :rotfl2: And 12 X 12 is what I told the children the size might be for the pool(I figured condos were about 8X8 and thought ours might be about 16 ft) so that is a good thing. Tracy was so worried the accommodations wouldn't meet expectations (she should see my house :rotfl:). We have no expectations, but I have been downplaying the house and reminding the children things can be different than they look/you expect. Of course, the more pics we see of the place, the harder it is to convince them it will not be FABULOUS! It is VERY good to hear that your rental has met your needs and any problems have been fixed promptly! Temperature wise, how has the trip been?

YEA for a down day, I think it is important to recharge and for us since Lisa was born and David's health issues came to the forefront it is an absolute must.

You should have seen me trying to hula hoop yesterday :lmao::lmao: The girls thought it was cute, I thought it was pathetic. :rotfl: The joy on Lisa's face...no, I couldn't be angry and I am actually happy she has it to play with...and later today will have two. :thumbsup2

Today is my Uncle's Memorial service. It is an hour drive to the church, we will be leaving shortly. I hope you all have a fabulous day and prayers are answered. :goodvibes

Judy, I am sorry to hear of your Uncle's passing, I remember you mentioned it and not sure I acknowledged it. I hope the memorial service celebrates his life.

I would love to see a picture of Lisa enjoying her new hula hoop. :goodvibes Pete really is a typical man, I just shook my head at him not telling you Lisa found them.

I'm glad you found a home to stay in January! I was cracking up at the story of the "hidden" hula hoop. :rotfl2: But I'm very sorry to hear about your uncle's passing. :grouphug:

I HOPE it is warm! If it is 40 degrees you will think it is warm! Truly North and South here. That is too funny! It would just feel like bath water! :thumbsup2

You want a hot tub, not a pool! :scared1:
I am totally serious, though, when I say as long as it's above freezing I'll be happy! Although you won't be!

OKay, I concede 97 degrees may be TOO hot. :rotfl2:
:lmao:

:rotfl: Well, it's better than the doghouse, Pete :rotfl:
You kids are easy to please! A bed and a bathroom and they are happy, well and a pool :goodvibes

:thumbsup2 This is so awesome!

I got caught up again, it seems I get caught up just to fall behind again.

It's ok to be behind, I think most of the time we are all behind :rolleyes1

Sorry to hear about your dad's pain, very frustrating but glad he is happy to be home.

Thanks for your input :thumbsup2 Most of the pools in the house listings looked pretty close to the same size :confused3 I can only sit in a hot tub for so long so I would prefer lower than hot tub temps, despite what Judy says :lmao: If the spa part was a little warmer it would be nice, Judy could sit in there :thumbsup2
So nice that you get to enjoy your pool today, enjoy :goodvibes

It has been warm in the upper 70's to low 80's. Yesterday we went to Hollywood Studios early and it was 66. People were wearing sweatshirts and coats. It was a little windy but we were good. The surprising thing was seeing people still wearing them in the afternoon when it was 70's and humid. It is raining today, but it is the first day it has rained. It also seems to be less busy after the Veteran's Day weekend. January crowds are usually pretty low. The first time we came was President's week in Feb. and the crowds were horrible. Never again, even if it would help the grandkids miss less school. I hope the memorial for your uncle went well. As much as I don't like funerals, I love it when people talk about their favorite stories and it brings a smile.

It was a lovely Memorial service for my uncle, I only wish the church was closer to my house. The minister was wonderful and I would love to hear him preach a full sermon. Everyone looked so much older, except for me. I just looked fatter. :rotfl: There is something to be said for extra weight, you have fewer wrinkles. :lmao::lmao: I hadn't seen most of my cousins in years, it really is sad we only seem to get together at funerals. It was a very small affair, but touching. My uncle had been quite ill and in a lot of pain, I am thankful he is now at peace. :flower3:
