One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Wooo hooo hooo hooo hooo! Look at the pool, would ya! I know that everybody is excited to know that the house is booked and that it is so nice.

Judy, you asked if we had tried T-Rex. Yes, we have and we liked it. The tomato soup was some of the best that we have ever had. The appetizer sampler plate is what I order every single time. Of course, it's way too much for just little old me but I put a dent in it and let John finish it off.

This must be my week for everything to dump down...now where is my big umbrella??? :beach:...only one I could find, :lmao:

Judy, Mark and I have eaten at Rainforest Café twice...once in Chicago and once in Vegas. We were not impressed at all and we've never bothered with the ones at Disney. Like you, give us Earl of Sandwich every single time.

Love the pictures...Lisa looked beautiful.
Thank you Kathy, Lisa DID look beautiful she makes a perfect Rapunzel with all that hair.

I LOVE EoS!!! I could go for a holiday sandwich right now!

I am not sure I will ever return to RF Cafe, I have learned to never say never...;)
Judy, We only spent one day at AK and John was only with us for a short time (he went back to the room to lay down) but now that you mention it I do remember how hard it was to handle the wc there. I also remember a very badly layed out bathroom that John couldent even get into with the wc.
So sorry to hear about the mechanic bills. I can certainly sympathise. We have had almost 2000 in repairs on the truck in the last month. In fact its in the shop right now.
Praying Pete finds a car soon.
Im hoping to get to a computer soon. All three of ours are broken and its difficult to do an update or post pictures from my nook. I havent even been able to look at our new family pictures that we got taken last weekend but I really want to find a good one to share since Paige is in these ones.
Hugs for John and that Disney trip, the next one will be even better. AK is exhausting to me with the W/C and there are quite a few rides Lisa can't do anyway, so ...it makes it easy to avoid...although Morgan works there now, (a very kind CM), I would love to see her. I know you have a slew of bills as well, the older our vehicles are, the more they need fixing.

I hope you get a computer soon, I know that makes things VERY difficult to post, I am sorry. :grouphug:

I will wait patiently and quit teasing you.
Nice pool...congrats!
So excited!!! :woohoo::dance3::woohoo:

Where to beginning? I will also probably forget most of what I wanted to say too.

YAY!!!!!!!! to be going back to Florida/Disney!!!:cheer2: That private pool looks awesome!!!

Love all the pictures of all the different updates and yay to meeting another DISer.

We also had snow flurries on the 12th but ours were way smaller than your big flakes! I LOVE snow!

Glad for the good report after Lisa's MRI and all the other good medical news.

Tracy ~ Praying for your new nephew. His big brother was adorable in the owl costume (It looked like an owl to me).

I would suggest if you guys don't think you will like the food at BoG to get cupcakes they are delicious and it would be a good way to go in and see it.

If you guys haven't picked a restaurant yet and I can not pick just one either, here are my suggestions...

MK
Crystal Palace (Any meal)

Epcot
Via Napoli (Lunch or Dinner) We love there pizza!!

Resorts
Big River Grille - Boardwalk
Grand Floridian Cafe

Things are well here just busy. I am leading the children's music every 1st week of the month and our woman's singing every third week at our bible study and I have been learning a lot of new songs which keeps me preoccupied. I will learn to help with the sound system soon too and it is really nice to be useful.

My sister will be in town visiting Tuesday - Monday next week and James' birthday is the 20th.

We are hosting thanksgiving this year for both sides of our family and I am cooking my first turkey ever so I am hoping it comes out well.

We have also been trying to fix Annabelle eating habits again and she is improving just at a very slow pace with lots of fighting and tears for her and us. It is very trying and I know it pales in comparison, but if you could just pray for my husband and myself to deal with her in the way God desires I would appreciate it.

Praying for all on this thread and I hope everyone is doing well.

Judy I am hoping to upload some photos of our Sept trip onto photobucket and post sorry it takes me so long.

Also thank you for the sweet compliments on Annabelle's Cinderella costume.

Ladylyons ~ Your kids costumes were awesome!!!

Popping in quickly to say still thinking of you all. Checking all the news since my parents arrived will have to wait - turns out David has his doctor's first case of Influenza A for the season and his biggest meeting of the year is this afternoon. He is way stressed about missing it (he is supposed to do a 2 hour presentation and has been putting in 80+ hour weeks for the last two months getting ready). He wanted to go in anyway today for it and thought he could because he has been on Tamiflu since Tuesday, but he still has a fever and I told him he wasn't going anywhere! They won't thank him to spread this around. We all had flu shots last month, but the doctor said so far, they are only 19% effective this year. Nobody else has it, thank goodness. I set a bed up for him in the basement and have been passing meals down to him by putting them on the basement landing. Trying to keep him hydrated, of course his asthma is really acting up with this and I worry about his breathing, but so far so good. He is super frustrated about getting sick NOW, but at least we weren't away on vacation or something.

Probably won't be on again for awhile, so I hope everyone is doing well and I will catch up on all the news once I can catch my breath. Have a great weekend!

I have a wicked headache; however, I have to ask HOW do I instagram? (I am SO not into the technology/trends :() I have some fabulous House of Blues pics!! Thanks for letting me know.

Girl, you are asking the wrong woman! I have absolutely no idea 'cause I'm just as techologically challenged as you are. Aren't we a fine pair? :rotfl2: I would ask Hunter but he's not where I can ask him.

Hellllooooooo! Anybody out there can help Judy out. I'm betting that she'd win with the great pics she has.

Oops, I hit reply before I could say that I hope you feel better. Get out the lemons or lemonade to help with the headache. It helps me.

Judy - have you asked you kids about instagram? I bet one of them will know how to do it. I can't help you otherwise, sorry :cutie:

Instagram is a photo sharing app, but there is an option on the website to enter without having one! Just click "Enter without sharing a HOB Memory" on the right side and it just gives you an option to upload :thumbsup2 That may be the quickest option! Feel better, Judy!

Wooo hooo hooo hooo hooo! Look at the pool, would ya! I know that everybody is excited to know that the house is booked and that it is so nice.
:beach:

That pool looks inviting. I don't know, will 87 degrees be warm enough for Judy? :lmao:
I do hope so!

Thank you for the prayers for Emile. :goodvibes
It was an Owl costume. He even hoot-ed when you asked him what owls say, he's a cute kid!
Everyone seem to have a hard time picking one restaurant! Thanks for the ideas.
Good luck with the turkey - only thing I can say is make sure you defrost it. First turkey I tried to do when I was in University there may have been an issue with it being frozen and us not eating until 11pm :rolleyes1
Praying for you and your husband to have the strength to guide Annabelle I know the struggles will be worth it in the end.

You two crack me up. But I don't do Instagram either. I don't like hashtags :rotfl:

Good thing Courtney is around I would take her suggestion:
Instagram is a photo sharing app, but there is an option on the website to enter without having one! Just click "Enter without sharing a HOB Memory" on the right side and it just gives you an option to upload :thumbsup2 That may be the quickest option!
:thumbsup2

Actually for the contest, you can't share a photo unless you instagram or tweet. If you use the alternate entry, you only provide your email address. I just entered. Thanks Lisa. :goodvibes
Judy, I hope you feel better today and things are easier.

Judy and Tracy, fab pool at the house! What a great treat to have the heated pool to enjoy! Fun Spot and DTD photos were great. Agree, Rainforest was okay but nothing special for the money. The monkeys were cute!

For Instagram, go to their site and set up your account. I use from my iPad or phone so not sure on PC how it works. But you should be able to click on a camera icon to take or add photo. You can click on another icon to find you photo in your files, change the appearance, etc, add your caption and the hashtag (#) you need so it will show for the hob. If you want pm me and I'll send you my number....I can walk you through it over the phone.

Sorry to hear surgery may be in your future and all the car issues. Hang in there....almost disney time!

We are on our way out the door, but I just saw Miles on GMA (The little wish child Sandra told us about), they are going to highlight his wish...how exciting!!! He is ADORABLE!!!

I am feeling not as bad as last night, just not great. I will be back later for responses. Praying everyone has a fabulous day and Thank you Lisa, Deborah, Courtney and Alyson for trying to help me with instagram...we don't have "smart phones." My children might know how to use it, doubtful though. Alyson, we don't have long distance on our phone, but Thank You for the offer. :goodvibes

I've read of things like this before too and think it's great. This one just hit close to home literally!! San Francisco on a good day is less than 30 mins from us. I love to visit but wouldn't be able to live there. I can't wait to see pictures of this little boys wish coming true. It's ok. I'm sure she enjoys it and I don't blame her for not wearing it with her jacket.

I was so excited to see that this morning!

Oh no!! I hate car problems!! I hope the best that they can get if fixed right this time.

It is driving me :crazy2: if we only had three brand new vehicles and no mechanical problems...:thumbsup2. I will get right on that. :rotfl2: I will send you a new one too!

My parent's were cheap and worms were cheap. :rotfl2: Well actually not cheap they did have 4 of us to raise also so they watched where they spent their money too. Teach Lisa the gummy bear trick. Then maybe she'll do them herself.

Love it!

Thank you! I need all the support I can get right now. :lovestruc:hug: I love French Bread!! But right now I can't have it. I did go to the Doctor today and even though my numbers were all over the place she told me to not stress over it and we'll see what happens over the next couple weeks since I've only been tracking for a week tomorrow. I also found out that between my last two appointments I have lost 5 lbs (I think all of it was this last week)!!!! She was very happy with that number and basically said if I can keep my weight the same between now and the last 4 - 6 weeks (when the baby goes through a growth spurt) we should be fine when it comes time to have the baby. But of course if I were to lose a little bit more it wouldn't hurt either (I've only gained 10 lbs this whole pregnancy now since I lost the 5 lbs but I did start out over weight.) I'll be sure to keep you posted on how things are progressing.

I know I said this on your thread, but I am proud of you! :goodvibes

You are very blessed with the kids you have!! I just happened upon it one year after Christmas and had to get it because I thought it was so cute (then it hid in the back of the closet for a good 3 years)!! I agree they are expensive but couldn't pass up the price I got.

GREAT price and deal on that nativity, the children will love that, even when they are grown!

Yes, I am so blessed and thankful, my children proved once again yesterday just how much they love and support me. Tearing just thinking about it.

I guess we had another one today (3.4 so bigger than the other two) but I wasn't home when it happened so I don't know if we could feel it here or not. The kids were at school and Sarah said a couple of her friends said they felt it but she didn't. Jeremy also didn't feel it and none of his friends said anything about it. I think I'll ask Sarah's teacher tomorrow because then I'll really look around here to make sure nothing was damaged (we only live 2 miles from the school). But I'll take an earthquake any day over some of the other natural disasters people have to deal with on a very regular basis.

YIKES! Praying no damage!!

Sorry you didn't like Rainforest Café. We've had pretty good luck with the one in SF but it is a very over priced meal for what you get. Your paying for atmosphere most of the time in places like that.

So true! :thumbsup2 And it was pretty.

Love the pool!!! Glad you guys finally have somewhere to stay!!!

Me too! :cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Great find on the house. Can't wait to hear details on it. If the price is right and your reviews of it are great, we might look into booking it. We are going to Orlando in June. Not sure what we are doing. I want either Disney or Busch Gardens(never been here). The boys want Universal. Our AP's will end for Universal the week we go. We will probably go there since tickets are paid for. I was looking to rent a condo or house since it is usually cheaper and more room. To have a private pool would be awesome.

I found the house on the DIS the first night we were looking. I hope it is a great place too, it would be nice to know a place you can really trust! :thumbsup2 YEA :woohoo::woohoo:for another trip and so happy you get to go to Universal. I really wish we could go back someday. I KNOW we are gong to love it and the pool is icing on the cake, it looks small in some of the pics...but who cares, I LOVE that it is private! :cheer2: And you know me, we will tell the good, the bad, the ugly! It LOOKS fabulous and perfect for our needs. !

We have eaten at the DTD and AK Rainforest Cafe several times. Service is hit or miss depending on time of day. My DH and I usually split the Tuscan Chicken-balsalmic and tomato marinated chicken breast, charbroiled and dressed with cucumbers, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, and a honey dijon sauce. It comes with the best garlic mashed potatoes.

We were seated at 1:35 (our ADR time). it wasn't the worst meal/service we have ever had, it just wasn't worth the money for us...especially with EoS so close! :lmao: Your meal sounds YUMMY, I want some right now!! Must be time for breakfast! :thumbsup2

It is 23 degrees here. I need to get up and get ready for work but I don't want to get out of bed. Too cold.

Ya'll got colder than we did, I don't think we dipped below 27. I need a heater for my bedroom, it is always freezing in here...maybe I will have to get one! I hope you have a fabulous day! :goodvibes

Looks like a great place you'll be staying at especially with the pool! :thumbsup2

I've eaten at the Rain Forest Cafe a couple of times and it didn't really impress me. The statement that Lisa made after the show is really funny though...:rotfl2:

Buying a used RV would be a lot cheaper than a brand new one. I'll have to let Billy tell you his experience taking a brand new one on a test drive at an RV show. It was a class B size more of a van sized one but wider. :scared: I tried warning him to be careful....:lmao:

We are very happy for the house and the pool and for Tracy's generosity for renting a house to share with us.

Lisa and David both really surprise you with their funnies sometimes...they all do, but some of theirs (especially David's) should be on a T-shirt. I actually made him and Christian shirts once of one of his witticisms...he only wears it to sleep in, but Christian wanted it and wears it. Cracks people up...Rainforest is off my radar now...

I can't wait to hear Billy's RV story, I am a little afraid, but since you are laughing it must have ended okay. :woohoo::hug: Billy odes have some great stories, so do you...:rolleyes1

I don't know. Just a thunderstorm, not a show. At T-Rex it's a meteor shower.

Even though there are no resies available through Disney, there often are resies available directly through the restaurant. Give them a call and see if you want to eat at T-Rex.

I had Mahi-Mahi at T-rex. It was really good. But definitely not a value meal.

How odd about the B-day button too.

What a nice house for vacation!! Is the pool heated??!! Ours isn't and it's frigid in the winter. When we first moved here, Grumpy swam anyway. Now our blood is too thin or something, because we can't tolerate those cold pool temps even in the spring, lol. We are like up north, swimming Memorial Day to Labor Day.
Good to know about the ressies. Pete actually walked down to see if they had anything at T-Rex, but it started raining and I asked him to come back. The Mahi Mahi sounds good, I have never had that fish. My favorite fish is Talapia. I have come to expect odd...it is either odd good or bad...so that helps to have no expectations.

I can NOT swim in cold water, due to a medical condition. I couldn't even take it when I was younger. :rotfl2: The older three tolerate cold water better, Lisa can't take it at all, because of her heart/autonomic issues.

that is really nice, can you tell me if there is a website or link to how you found the house?
i may have to consider staying off property :(
First, :welcome::welcome::welcome: to our PTR!! The more the merrier and we LOVE seeing who is reading. :goodvibes The house looks really nice from the pics and others on the DIS have stayed in it. We have never stayed on Property (Tracy did), so I have no point of reference (Someday I HOPE to stay on property, that is a dream of mine it is just to expensive). That being said, we have always stayed off property and always had a fabulous time!! Tracy was at the AoA resort last year and when we took her back to her resort, we discovered our off property resort was just as close (and we think it was closer). :goodvibes

Tracy and I did a lot of searching and most folks LOVED being in a house! :cloud9::cloud9:

Lisa asked for a hula hoop for Christmas. I had a gift card, so I sent Pete to the store over the weekend to pick it up. I just returned home to find her playing with it in the garage...my DH had left it by the door covered by a baby blanket, that was too small to cover it (I had been told it was hidden away :rotfl2:)...she still believes in Santa, as far as we know, so whatcha going to do? :confused3 :lmao: I believe I will enjoy the look of pure happiness on her face at an unexpected present!

The house looks amazing! I know you guys will enjoy the pool.

I don't care for RFC much either but we do like the breakfast over at the AK location. If you sign up for the Landry's card, they give you $25 in your birthday month which covers quite a bit. I think it costs $25 to join but you immediately get a $25 credit so it is essentially free. You can use it at TRex, RFC, and Y&Y.

Jill in CO

We are SO excited about the pool Jill, it will be fabulous...maybe I should dig out some pool toys!! I am certain I can't find nay for Christmas presents this time of year!

I had NO IDEA AK served Breakfast! Thank you for the info on the Landry Card :goodvibes, you always have such great tips! :thumbsup2

This is it, all week in the pool, right :lmao:
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

ALL WEEK in the pool!!!! :thumbsup2 Overlooking the waterway...Who needs Disney???:confused3

Thanks everyone, I am soooo glad we have the house figured out now and can move on to the rest of the planning. I am soooo looking forward to the pool! :beach:
ME TOO!!!!

The pool is heated - that was on Judy;s list of wants, as long as there is no ice I'll swim :lmao:
But our pool is supost to be a lovely 87 F. Too bad you can't make use of your pool when it's cold. It must be pretty expensive to heat - well I know it is because pretty much every house rental charges extra for pool heat - usually about $120-$190 a week.
If you are not too busy the week we are there, and JJ is doing ok, you'll have to come over to the house for a swim!

The main site I looked at was www.vrbo.com - there are tons of options on there of houses. I used http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/villa-map.php to get an idea of where all the communities are. There are a lot and some are quite far from WDW.
I won't post the exact link to our house here until we get back, but we will give a full review when we get back.

ICE???? In the pool????:sad::sad: Lisa and I would :faint:

We will post a review when we get back. :thumbsup2 There are tons of choices for houses. This is a 5 bedroom, so tons of space, and gotta love the pool. universal sounds like fun :thumbsup2
The girls want to sleep in the same room, big surprise, so the guys can have their own room. The girls are used to sleeping in the same bed, so that is probably what we will try to make happen.
It's warm for us today, not much different than your temp, I think we are going to get a storm it's windy and only 20 F. Snow is just starting to fall. If it snows more we might get our first blizzard of the year.
TWENTY!!! I can't do Canada, except in the summer! And a BLizzard??? No Thank You! We have rain and 59 degrees right now, and I think that is yucky!
It can snow any month of the year but we usually have great summers with lots and lots of sun :beach:
I forgot you said it could snow year round where you are ....:scared1::scared1: That is why yo wrangle caribou and I do not...

Don't you just love our husbands? I know they mean well, but seriously? :lmao::lmao::lmao:

But I'm glad Lisa is enjoying her gift.

Wooo hooo hooo hooo hooo! Look at the pool, would ya! I know that everybody is excited to know that the house is booked and that it is so nice.

We are so relieved to have the house booked and tracy sent more pics, so we drooled more. SO excited!!

Pete LOVES tomato soup, so he would love that and I ALMOST got the sampler myself, now I wish I had! I often do that when we go out and there is more than enough to share or bring home.
That pool looks inviting. I don't know, will 87 degrees be warm enough for Judy? :lmao:
97 woud be preferable...seriously!
Judy, I just got an email from House of Blues and immediately thought of you. You have GOT to enter!

http://www.hob20.com/memories
Thank you again Lisa, I entered without putting in a picture. Praying you have had a great day.

Rachel, I skipped you so I could answer you properly! :goodvibes

Laura, Praying Catherine is well enough to go on her GS adventure. :grouphug:

Leaving the hula hoop out where Lisa could see/find it sounds like a man thing. I have to tell you, I just read a TR about a lady who was having a very bad/sad day at DHS and her boyfriend began to dance her around in the middle of the street and changed her day around, it was sweet. I guess they mean well. :confused3
