One became SEVEN?!? How did THAT happen? 4/24 UPDATE

Tracy: That beautiful quilt is such a great labor of love for Emile! What a lovely gift! All these years later I have saved every baby quilt made for my children since they are such special heirloom gifts. I hope to hand them down for my grandbabies!
Thank you!:goodvibes

Tracy, I love Emiles quilt and I am so gladtohear how well heis growing. For a restaurant suggestion I loved breakfast at Tusker House in AK.
Thank you. I love AK, Tusker House is a great idea :thumbsup2

It snowed really hard for thirty minutes, then began to taper off and it had completely stopped within an hour, with absolutely no accumulation (which is exactly what we all expected). For us, it is fun to see snow, especially in November. It is a novelty around here and extremely rare for it to stick. I would NOT be happy to live in an area where snow on the ground most of the winter is the norm. I do enjoy a good snowfall that sticks around for a day or two (as long as we don't have to go anywhere) then disappears. Today we have record breaking temperatures this morning, it is 25 degrees and for me that is to cold.
Wow, it was cold for you this morning, but I won't tell you how cold it was here :rotfl2: And, of course we have snow now and it will probably stay till early May.

JJ is 3 days seizure and tic free. Last night he did choke while taking his capsule and once again I had to do the Heimlich. That makes 5 times since August. DH says that the med does not come in liquid. I'm going to try in applesauce tonight like we do his vitamins that are too big to swallow.
:thumbsup2 for seizure and tic free but :sad1: for choking
60 days?! Yikes! We did a few TS meals on Cat's MAW trip. Let's see...we did CRT like you, but I'm not sure I'd repeat that one. We love 50's Prime Time Cafe...it's one of our faves. I also really enjoyed breakfast at Tusker House. Crystal Palace is a fun choice, too. Whoops! I just picked more than one! :rotfl: Somewhere I've not been that I'd love to try is O'hana.
We're gearing up for a Girl Scout overnight this weekend, which hopefully will be a fun treat for Catherine before we head to CHOP next Wednesday. She's had this nagging cold/congestion. No fever, but I sure hope it doesn't delay her procedure. We need to get that kidney perfused better again!
We hoped for a few of those snowflakes here yesterday, but got nothing. It sure is chilly though!
I've heard lots of good thing about 50's Prime Time, will have to try it some time. All great choices, although way more than the one you are allowed :rotfl:

Hope you have a great time at girl scout weekend. and Catherine's cold gets better.

Christian, David and Rachel look so happy to be off on their adventure. :goodvibes I love Lisa's dress, how pretty she looks and Pete wears the frog hat well. My opinion, Rainforest is over priced and not my favorite either.

I STILL can't believe it. I emailed you we had 60 days...it is really 61, I lived two days yesterday...:sad1:

I could see you zipping around the go-cart track with the kids!!

Did YOU have any snow yesterday????
It's going to be here before you know it. :woohoo: :faint:

It didn't snow yesterday, but we have snow.

Too bad your Rainforest Café experience wasn't that great - but it's nice to try something new every once in a while. Your girl's funny with her 5-yr-old line. Pete looks fetching in the frog hat.

I only remember going to the Rainforest Cafe once and I didn't particularly like it. I like Earl of Sandwich or Wolfgang Puck Express at DTD. Sorry you had a bad experience! :(

I am getting excited for my trip...two weeks from tomorrow! Things have been very busy and overwhelming at school. I've been burning the candle at both ends and I miss my family, so this is much needed! So soon!!!
Two weeks! Glad you get this break!

Judy - I hate to tell you but I took my 5 yr old nephew to RFC in the spring and even he wasn't amused by "the show":rotfl2: The only thing he loved was the giftshop............takes after me obviously! My older nephew spent some of his hard earned money to buy the little one a box of little plastic animals, which remarkable in itself because Caleb (15) is CHEAP and won't spend money!

Trex - same food, different names basically, over priced and its even louder in there than RFC in my opinion. The "show" is a meteor shower about every 15 minutes and the dinosaurs come to life and move and roar. Not high on my list again unless little Mason who is a dinosaur freak is with me.

And SNOW? I seriously think you need to clean off your glasses, I think it was dust you were seeing on your glasses!!!!! No snow here but then again, I live SO much further south than you :rotfl2:

I was like you when I saw the prices of those motorhomes on the way out of the parking lot Saturday, I just hoped and prayed I wouldn't accidently nick one of the open doors or get too close to any of them!!! I think some of them were more than twice the price of my house!!!!!!

Sounds like alot of good news for the others on the thread, it would be nice for 100% good news just ONE day for everyone, no medical issues to worry about (at least no more than usual), no unexpected/outrageous bills, decent weather (no snow, floods, earthquakes etc).........is that too much to ask?

I hope everyone's Thursday is great. pixiedust:

The show is a thunderstorm, not really a show by any standards.

I'm not much of a Rain Forest fan either. I did get a mushroom burger the last time we ate there. It was very good. We do have a Landry's membership thingy, so we get immediate seating if we book through the Rain Forest and not through Disney. T-Rex is fairly similar, but there you get a meteor shower. I prefer T-Rex. Both times I loved my food.

Judy, Mark and I have eaten at Rainforest Café twice...once in Chicago and once in Vegas. We were not impressed at all and we've never bothered with the ones at Disney. Like you, give us Earl of Sandwich every single time.

Love the pictures...Lisa looked beautiful.

Judy, We only spent one day at AK and John was only with us for a short time (he went back to the room to lay down) but now that you mention it I do remember how hard it was to handle the wc there. I also remember a very badly layed out bathroom that John couldent even get into with the wc.
So sorry to hear about the mechanic bills. I can certainly sympathise. We have had almost 2000 in repairs on the truck in the last month. In fact its in the shop right now.
Praying Pete finds a car soon.
Im hoping to get to a computer soon. All three of ours are broken and its difficult to do an update or post pictures from my nook. I havent even been able to look at our new family pictures that we got taken last weekend but I really want to find a good one to share since Paige is in these ones.

We have Trip News!!!

We have a house. We will be staying in the community of Indian Creek, which is less than 4 miles to Disney.
And the best part about it is:

So THIS is where we are staying???:confused3:confused3

I have been waiting on this news...:lmao::lmao::lmao: Seriously, I wondered if you were going to post tonight.

I finally showed the kids the pictures tonight as well. I had told them at dinner not to expect much (trying to build the suspense) and Lisa said as long as it has a bed, a bathroom and a kitchen, she was happy. When she saw the pool, she was ecstatic!! They all were!!

I LOVED this story about the little Make a Wish child, I read it yesterday and it just put a huge smile on my face, what a great time he will have! I have read about wishes like this before and I KNOW he will have a memory to make him happy on many tough days. Lisa was going to wear her cape this past Saturday :goodvibes, however, it didn't fit well with her jacket.

I've read of things like this before too and think it's great. This one just hit close to home literally!! San Francisco on a good day is less than 30 mins from us. I love to visit but wouldn't be able to live there. I can't wait to see pictures of this little boys wish coming true. It's ok. I'm sure she enjoys it and I don't blame her for not wearing it with her jacket.

Just a little rant...Christian just got his car back YESTERDAY from the mechanics and last night it was having problems...took it BACK to the mechanics and it needs $400 more worth of work...seriously.

Okay, rant over...so many don't have a place to live/sleep and don't know where their next meal is coming from, this is just a lack of money thing for us...
[/B]

Oh no!! I hate car problems!! I hope the best that they can get if fixed right this time.

That is why I LOVED stew Beef, no worms for me! Rachel used to not mind, I have no idea what she would do with worms now. Lisa isn't doing worms, I can tell you that with certainty!

My parent's were cheap and worms were cheap. :rotfl2: Well actually not cheap they did have 4 of us to raise also so they watched where they spent their money too. Teach Lisa the gummy bear trick. Then maybe she'll do them herself.

YEA!!! I do love my carbs though, that is hard. I am proud of you!

Thank you! I need all the support I can get right now. :lovestruc:hug: I love French Bread!! But right now I can't have it. I did go to the Doctor today and even though my numbers were all over the place she told me to not stress over it and we'll see what happens over the next couple weeks since I've only been tracking for a week tomorrow. I also found out that between my last two appointments I have lost 5 lbs (I think all of it was this last week)!!!! She was very happy with that number and basically said if I can keep my weight the same between now and the last 4 - 6 weeks (when the baby goes through a growth spurt) we should be fine when it comes time to have the baby. But of course if I were to lose a little bit more it wouldn't hurt either (I've only gained 10 lbs this whole pregnancy now since I lost the 5 lbs but I did start out over weight.) I'll be sure to keep you posted on how things are progressing.

Christian is a good guy and really loves spending time with us, I am blessed. I LOVE the LP nativity set, What a great price! I have always wanted one, but they are so expensive.

You are very blessed with the kids you have!! I just happened upon it one year after Christmas and had to get it because I thought it was so cute (then it hid in the back of the closet for a good 3 years)!! I agree they are expensive but couldn't pass up the price I got.

OOH, sorry about the Earthquakes, so glad there was no damage. :grouphug: I hadn't heard about them, I live under a rock sometimes....

I guess we had another one today (3.4 so bigger than the other two) but I wasn't home when it happened so I don't know if we could feel it here or not. The kids were at school and Sarah said a couple of her friends said they felt it but she didn't. Jeremy also didn't feel it and none of his friends said anything about it. I think I'll ask Sarah's teacher tomorrow because then I'll really look around here to make sure nothing was damaged (we only live 2 miles from the school). But I'll take an earthquake any day over some of the other natural disasters people have to deal with on a very regular basis.

Sorry you didn't like Rainforest Café. We've had pretty good luck with the one in SF but it is a very over priced meal for what you get. Your paying for atmosphere most of the time in places like that.

Love the pool!!! Glad you guys finally have somewhere to stay!!!

Wow, it was cold for you this morning, but I won't tell you how cold it was here :rotfl2: And, of course we have snow now and it will probably stay till early May.

They had a great time, I need to figure out where I put THEIR pics. :confused3 I am so confused. :confused3 Pete was glad to wear the frog, since Lisa had on her Rapunzel flowers. Overpriced for a simple burger, I totally agree. I did like the trees and little monkey, but to be honest, I am cheap and I expect expensive food to wow me...and decent service goes a long way towards making me feel that way as well. :thumbsup2 I do NOT like having to ask other servers for water or a refill on Lisa's drink, they are busy with their own tables.

It's going to be here before you know it. :woohoo: :faint:

I know!!!

It didn't snow yesterday, but we have snow.

You always have snow, well for at least for 7 months of the year! :sad2: But is makes it more dramatic to wrastle those caribou!!!
Too bad your Rainforest Café experience wasn't that great - but it's nice to try something new every once in a while. Your girl's funny with her 5-yr-old line. Pete looks fetching in the frog hat.

Lisa had a great time. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2 So did we, but lesson learned, I could have bought LOTS of EoS with what we paid with our GC. BUT, I AM glad we tried it, just to see!. :goodvibes

Great find on the house. Can't wait to hear details on it. If the price is right and your reviews of it are great, we might look into booking it. We are going to Orlando in June. Not sure what we are doing. I want either Disney or Busch Gardens(never been here). The boys want Universal. Our AP's will end for Universal the week we go. We will probably go there since tickets are paid for. I was looking to rent a condo or house since it is usually cheaper and more room. To have a private pool would be awesome.

We have eaten at the DTD and AK Rainforest Cafe several times. Service is hit or miss depending on time of day. My DH and I usually split the Tuscan Chicken-balsalmic and tomato marinated chicken breast, charbroiled and dressed with cucumbers, Kalamata olives, tomatoes, and a honey dijon sauce. It comes with the best garlic mashed potatoes.

It is 23 degrees here. I need to get up and get ready for work but I don't want to get out of bed. Too cold.

I just got back home and it is FREEZING outside!

Judy - I hate to tell you but I took my 5 yr old nephew to RFC in the spring and even he wasn't amused by "the show":rotfl2: The only thing he loved was the giftshop............takes after me obviously! Ah, we have been in the gift shop many times. When the hostess and the person who seated us was so excited about the "show", well then, so were we. :thumbsup2 We just had to laugh, it was not quite what we thought after the buildup we had. :lmao: So sweet of your older nephew. :flower3:

We had so much snow in NC and it was so uncharacteristic I heard about it on several of the national news feeds. That is why I posted my pic, I KNEW there would be one of you who didn't believe. ;) I have five more if you need further proof. :rotfl2:

The most expensive home we saw was 146,000...I just shook my head...then I told the girls when they are touring when they are older, we will have a bus like that for them to travel in. :thumbsup2:thumbsup2

I KNOW, wonder why they were pushing the "show" we had no idea there was supposed to be a show. They asked us if it was our first visit, it was and went in to this big build-up. :rotfl2: We were seated very close to our ressie time (1:35) we just arrived early. I WAS concerned we were going to miss Lisa's BBB time of 3:130 because of the slow service though.

You loved your food at T-Rex, what did you eat?? I tried to get ressies at T-Rex and this was two months before we arrived and there weren't any available for ANY time! I even tired different days and checked multiple times a week, no go.

It all worked out, we had a good time in spite of everything. Funny, Pete had gone by guest services while Lisa and I were exploring and surprised me with a BD button and only one CM even said Happy Birthday and that was the server taking care of the table next to us that we asked for water.

Looks like a great place you'll be staying at especially with the pool! :thumbsup2

I've eaten at the Rain Forest Cafe a couple of times and it didn't really impress me. The statement that Lisa made after the show is really funny though...:rotfl2:

Buying a used RV would be a lot cheaper than a brand new one. I'll have to let Billy tell you his experience taking a brand new one on a test drive at an RV show. It was a class B size more of a van sized one but wider. :scared: I tried warning him to be careful....:lmao:

I don't know. Just a thunderstorm, not a show. At T-Rex it's a meteor shower.

Even though there are no resies available through Disney, there often are resies available directly through the restaurant. Give them a call and see if you want to eat at T-Rex.

I had Mahi-Mahi at T-rex. It was really good. But definitely not a value meal.

How odd about the B-day button too.

What a nice house for vacation!! Is the pool heated??!! Ours isn't and it's frigid in the winter. When we first moved here, Grumpy swam anyway. Now our blood is too thin or something, because we can't tolerate those cold pool temps even in the spring, lol. We are like up north, swimming Memorial Day to Labor Day.

i may have to consider staying off property :(

The house looks amazing! I know you guys will enjoy the pool.

I don't care for RFC much either but we do like the breakfast over at the AK location. If you sign up for the Landry's card, they give you $25 in your birthday month which covers quite a bit. I think it costs $25 to join but you immediately get a $25 credit so it is essentially free. You can use it at TRex, RFC, and Y&Y.

This is it, all week in the pool, right :lmao:
:cheer2::cheer2::cheer2:

Nice pool...congrats!
Love the pool!!! Glad you guys finally have somewhere to stay!!!
Looks like a great place you'll be staying at especially with the pool! :thumbsup2

Thanks everyone, I am soooo glad we have the house figured out now and can move on to the rest of the planning. I am soooo looking forward to the pool! :beach:

The pool is heated - that was on Judy;s list of wants, as long as there is no ice I'll swim :lmao:
But our pool is supost to be a lovely 87 F. Too bad you can't make use of your pool when it's cold. It must be pretty expensive to heat - well I know it is because pretty much every house rental charges extra for pool heat - usually about $120-$190 a week.
If you are not too busy the week we are there, and JJ is doing ok, you'll have to come over to the house for a swim!

that is really nice, can you tell me if there is a website or link to how you found the house?
i may have to consider staying off property :(
The main site I looked at was www.vrbo.com - there are tons of options on there of houses. I used http://www.thedibb.co.uk/forums/villa-map.php to get an idea of where all the communities are. There are a lot and some are quite far from WDW.
I won't post the exact link to our house here until we get back, but we will give a full review when we get back.

SPILL!!! How cold was it? It is 27 right now and still dropping...it needs to STOP!!!! Snow till May, you know I would :faint: And it is darker too...

You always have snow, well for at least for 7 months of the year! :sad2: But is makes it more dramatic to wrastle those caribou!!!
It's warm for us today, not much different than your temp, I think we are going to get a storm it's windy and only 20 F. Snow is just starting to fall. If it snows more we might get our first blizzard of the year.

It can snow any month of the year but we usually have great summers with lots and lots of sun :beach:
