"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

So glad that you had a great night! Thanks for sharing your experience! It looks like you were able to get the hot chocolate and cookies before the party even started? How were they? Do you know if they're available at all locations early?

This might be a tad out of order; I think we got the cookies/hot chocolate right at 7pm. We really liked the hot chocolate- it was creamy with a nice cocoa flavor. The cookies were sugar cookies, and I found them to be overly-sweet. I didn't finish mine, and didn't get them a second time. DD liked them, though. I also saw them giving out apple slices for those who couldn't have the cookies.

Would love to see the answer to this too!

Also, do the characters sign autographs during the meet & greets?

Thanks!

Flynn,Rapunzel,Cinderella,Prince Charming, Snow White, Snow Prince, Aurora and Prince Phillip, Peter Pan & Wendy were all signing autographs when I was there Thursday.
Jack Skellington doesn't sign, but you get given a really nice signed card for him when you enter the line

Sorry if this has been answered before, but I looked and didn't see it. My husband and I will be checking into our hotel at around 5:30. Can we buy tickets to this event without having additional park passes for the day?

The dwarves don't sign either.

If you get there after 4 yes

You don't have to get there after 4 to buy tickets for the party; you just can't enter the park before 4 with just a party ticket.

Driving up from Ft Myers tomorrow for the party.
Plan on arriving at wdw around 2.

Allowing 30m to park & unload and 1 hour to travel from ttc (hoping to ferry for a change, we usually monorail) that should get us into the entry line at 330.
Hoping that has us crossing the turnstile at 4 sharp. First FP is 330-430.

We have MBs and a hard ticket.

Solid plan? Any thoughts?

We were there for the first party and on line by 3:30. They opened the lines just before 3:45 and we made our 4:15 BOG reservation with time to spare if that's any help.

We're going to the party tomorrow; myself, DH, and DS2. After the Halloween party, we swore we wouldn't take DS to another party until he was older, but these tickets were free so it was hard to pass them up. We have no real itinerary, just going to go with the flow I think. We probably won't see the characters, just try to catch the parade and maybe the castle show.

For a crowded party night (a Fri night in early Dec), do you guys think it'll take 1 full hour to get from parking lot to entry gate? Or even longer? It's been many years since I drove to MK, as I usually stay onsite and take the WDW bus bypassing TTC, but will probably be offsite this time. Should I plan on parking at TTC much earlier than 2:30 if I hope to get into the park by 4pm?

We went on Thursday, 11/12 and had the most AMAZING time! It was just my 4 year old son and I so we mostly focused on rides and characters, as he doesn't have much of an attention span for parades and fireworks. Pretty much all the rides were walk-on. Even though Mine Train said it had 40 minute wait (and the cast member insisted it was accurate), we waited maybe 10 minutes. Since we saw Wishes the night before, we decided to ride on Dumbo during the fireworks. It was so beautiful! My son just laughed the entire ride. Then we were so close to Jack Skellington we went straight there during the tail end of the fireworks and had only a 10-15 minute wait! We also had a great time with Captain Jack at his meetup. We waited all night to see Rapunzel & Flynn, the line ranged from 40 minutes to over 100 minutes all night. Anna & Elsa's line was much shorter. We finally got in line around 11:30, and got in at 11:50. They were the best characters I have ever seen! They spent so long with my son, and just made him feel so special! He couldn't stop smiling after we left. It was definitely the cherry on top of a perfect night. I am SO glad we attended, and we definitely made some memories I will hold near and dear forever. Thanks for all the great tips and info in this thread!

Sounds like a perfect night - smart of you to think of your son and his age and forego the fireworks to get on the rides. That's always a tough decision but his smile told you it was the right one! :)

I'm also curious about timing, following on Shh's question:

We'll be staying onsite, but we were planning on driving so we could get back to the hotel quickly following fireworks with two young kids. We could send one driver and have others take the bus, as we have three adults and two kids. Is it super crowded getting into the party right at 4? And is there a better way of transportation if we have choices?

Also, if we're trying to enter the park at 4 with our party ticket, do we have to be extra careful not to go in a minute early, lest we accidentally use a regular park ticket for the day at, say, 3:59? Or is it very clear, even with a magic band, that we're entering only for the party and using only that ticket?

I feel exceptionally paranoid asking these questions, but I like to be prepared . . .

Also, we're going on 12/10 if someone wants to add us to the list of Dis'ers attending.

There will be turnstiles designated for party entry so don't worry about the time down to the minute. We've entered as early as 3:45 and there will be CMs and signage directing you through and to get wristbands.

As far as crowd levels when entering- many years ago we didn't realize you could enter early so we arrived for 7:00. Now, after entering a few years at 4:00 I would have to say that 7pm was more crowded than 4pm.

Went last night. We had a nice time, but I'm not sure we'll be going back.

The crowd seemed weird to us. It *felt* a lot less crowded than the MNSSHP we went to in September but then the 2nd parade was packed (3-4 deep in frontier land). We got in line to meet Donald/Scrooge/Daisy/Minnie around 6:45 and were in line nearly an hour. But we walked onto BTMRR. Saw a posted wait of 20 minutes for SDMT, and 20 for A&E.

It was fun, it was pretty. The cookies and cocoa were really good and never had a line. I'm glad we went, just feel like it may be a "one and done" for us.

I had been wondering the same thing so I'm glad you asked! :santa:

Again rain is going to be a non issue - you will all have street time positive energy :)

CampbellzSoup, just wanted to be sure to catch you - hoping you'll have time to change our party day! We are down for Dec 3rd, but ended up changing our plans and doing Candlelight processional Dec 3rd(arrival night), instead and bought tickets for the party on Dec 10th! So, whenever you get a free minute, if you could please switch our party dates in the list, that would be awesome!! :santa: Less than 3 weeks and we are getting very excited or our fun Xmas trip to our fave place! Woo hoo!! :woohoo: :beach:

Thanks so much for your review of your party night....Fingers crossed we don't have a very long wait to meet Repunzel and Flynn...very worried my husband who is very impatient wont stay in lines while we wait to meet characters that I know my daughter would love to see

Random request - have 1 person that has been kind enough to try and pick up the Olaf Sorcerers of the Magic Kingdom card while at the party. Already fearing war among kids was wondering if anyone else going would be so kind to pick 1 up? PM me please.

Thanks!
