"Official" Mickey's Very Merry Christmas Party 2015 Thread - Rockin' Around the Cinderella Castle!

Is there anywhere to find out if/what photopass opportunities are available during the party?

Anyone concerned about the rain showing for 11/20 now :( this would be our first mvmcp and the forecast doesn't look good, for the evening esp.

I know it can change, it has all week lol so here's to hoping!!!!
were did you see this? I noticed accuweather is calling for rain but weather underground isn't. I wonder who is right?

At 7 days out, I wouldn't bet on either one.

I would imagine most of the characters are going to have them (I do know that Mary Poppins won't though), and there should be opportunities to get your picture taken with the castle in the background (obviously, you want to do this when the castle lights are on).

We were at the party on 11/10. I didn't think it was very crowded. We did a LOT of stuff- but no character meet/greets by choice. here's the rundown:
Arrive MK 3:45 w/paper tickets. Got directed to the "line on the left." They wand-scanned our tickets and let us in. Because we were to the left, it was easy to get our wrist bands, too. We took our time going up Main St. but paid attention to the time because of our fast passes.
Peter Pan (FP+ 3:25-4:25)
BTMRR (FP+ 4:30-5:30)
Splash (standby, 20 mins)
BTMRR (standby, 15 mins)
hot chocolate and cookies
Winnie the Pooh (FP+ 5:30-6:30)
Buzz Lightyear
Wedway People mover
Totally Tomorrowland show

So glad that you had a great night! Thanks for sharing your experience! It looks like you were able to get the hot chocolate and cookies before the party even started? How were they? Do you know if they're available at all locations early?

Can anyone who's experienced the party comment on wait times for A&E? We were unable to secure a FP and am wondering the best time to visit them and how long of a wait to expect. Not sure if pre-party is the right time to go? During the first parade? Or sometime that evening when other folks are hopefully focused on the party activities and special characters. We have little ones, so waiting until it's too too late is not a good option. TIA!

A friend of mine that went said she waited 5 minutes - not sure at what time though

I'm working on my list of must do's so I can begin my plan. Do Peter Pan and Wendy have a photopass photographer? How about the reindeer and elf?

And has anyone seen the little cup with Mickey in the santa hat around this year? I saw pictures of the elf stein but that's not the one I'm looking for.

How soon should we purchase tickets for the party night?? CM always say, purchase now as it is known for selling out. But due to the fact that they are non refundable, I'm questioning the weather forcast.

Last year, we bought our tickets 2 days prior and they were still available, the sad thing is that it rained during wishes, so it was not as magical as it was supposed to be! This year we are going with the kids, and would want them to experience the party to the fullest! Also would like to select FP for that night, esp before the party, but no ticket=no FP.

Should I just take my chances and purchase NOW or wait???

For the person asking about the wait time at A&E ... I know this isn't the same but we had excellent luck getting in line for the Mine Train at 6:15. Posted time was 60 minutes and the staff person told me that was accurate but we decided to take a chance. We only waited 30 minutes. I think people were both discouraged by the posted wait time and more importantly, there were very few people entering from the fast pass line so the standby line really moved fast. I suspect we would have been through even faster if we had waited until closer to 6:30 since everyone's FP ended then.

If there is only one date that you are able to go, I'd purchase as soon as possible. Better to deal with weather issues than miss the party entirely, IMO.

Not sure if this is helpful or not, but during regular park days, we visited E/A. I couldn't get a fast pass for them, but I did for cinderella and Rapunzel. The wait time for my fast pass to see C/R was longer than my standby time for E/A. The posted standby time was 30 minutes. We weren't in line for longer than 15.

I can say that last night st 7:00 it was moving MUCH faster than the other princess (and prince) line. We lined up for Rapunzel at about 6:50, it did NOT open early and it took us about an hour to get through. People in the Anna and Elsa line were moving much faster.
