Disabled-valet parking?

Is it true that disabled guests with HA Placards get complimentary valet parking (at resorts that have valet parking-do all resorts have that). I've heard it mentioned as a possibility-need confirmation.

Yes it is true. However you will not find it posted anywhere official. There is still expectation of a tip.

Yes, with expected tip as noted. You must also meet the criteria for access to the resort...staying there, or dining reservations. It's frequently worth the dining expense because with valet, we've never had time limitations

No problem-and DH would always tip! Thanks for the verification.

Note that Disneyland is not this way, and valet is not complementary for disabled access. At GCH this is especially a problem, because all the disabled parking is across the street.

They gave us valet parking at the standard parking rate a couple years ago. Did they stop that?

When we tried a few weeks ago, both Disneyland Hotel and Grand Californian said no. Also even for DVC guests they don't allow upgrading the free self parking to valet for the difference in cost, unlike some of the other resorts.
