Official 2016 HHN-26 Thread

The thing is I live in Spain...I find a bit difficult to book by phone. I'll wait untill they fix the system.

Well, I went to the cattle call last night and I didn't get cast. Which isn't surprising--they call massive groups of people into the room, ask you one simple question so they can quickly look at your body type and analyze your voice, and send you along. My group had several returning SAs and maybe 10 out of the 50 were cast.

We will see what I end up being able to afford in terms of tickets. Probably just an add-on for one night.

Sorry you did not get selected
Try again next year as you will be more aware of what happens in for the audition
Hugs

Ouch, sorry. I hear the auditions can be rough. Has to be additionally, hard on those who worked their butts off the year prior to not be selected. Don't take it personal, specific roles to fill they say.

Alice Royal, keep checking the website when hhn starts as some of the SA quit during the season.
Replacements have to be found and you can reapply

Looking for opinions from people more experienced with HHN than I am:

A friend and I (and possibly a few other friends who thus far are being wishy-washy and not committing to the trip) are going to HHN Thur Sept. 22 through Mon Sept 26. That's 4 nights, Thur, Fri, Sat & Sun. Young rapscallions in our late 20's, of varying incomes.

We bought Rush of Fear passes without Express, and we're staying on-site at Cabana Bay, so getting in early and staying out late won't be an issue, as no one is driving.

We're considering skipping Friday and doing Mickey's Not-So-Scary that night instead (I know, way different event in tone, but we'd still like to check it out). If we did that... in your more experienced opinions, would we have enough time to do everything HHN has to offer on just Thursday, Saturday & Sunday? Bare minimum we'd like to do every house once and see the shows. Ideally we'd like to do those things more than once. I'll note again, we don't have express passes. We're hoping going in September keeps the lines... tolerable? lol. Dropping another couple hundred on express seems like a lot, and I'm not sure everyone in our party could swing it financially. Nor am I sure if Sept. crowds would even justify it.

We also have daytime tickets, so we won't be making the regular rides a big focus at night. We can do those during normal hours.

I personally vacation at Universal quite a lot, so I know the property like the back of my hand, but the last time I made it out to HHN was 2005, so I'm not exactly up on current trends, and don't really know how to temper my expectations. And in 2005 it was held at IoA, so I've never even experienced it in the more traditional Universal Studios setting. I recall in 2005, we spent 2 nights at HHN, and we were basically able to do everything at least once (if not twice) but I'm pretty sure that year we sprang for express on one of the two nights. So like I said... I'm looking for opinions more up to date than my own experience, which is over 10 years out of date, lol.

Long story short: Do you think we'd be safe sacrificing one night of HHN for a night at Magic Kingdom? And still find time to get the full HHN experience?

The night to skip Hhn would be the Saturday
Always packed that night for Hhn

You can get in the houses, zones and Bill/ Ted in 3 nights

Stay in the holding area and get 2 houses done before the 6:30 opening to the crowd enters in

Some houses will have long lines due to popularity but you won't see that as you are there early in the Hhn season

I purchased a non private RIP tour. I received an email confirmation but it doesn't say what time to arrive, where to go or any details of the tour itself. It's basically a receipt that says I purchased two tours on 9/30. Does anyone know if I'll be getting an email closer to the event of the details and where to check in? I know it's months away but I'll can admit I'm an obsessive planner.

This will be our first time going to hhn. My head is spinning. I want to do an add on ticket for one night with a 4 day 2 park ticket. They told me when I called I had to go to the park in daytime if I was going to hhn that night. But the beginning of this fab sticky says I don't have to. Or is that only for ap holders or fla residents because I am neither? Thanks for any clarification.

there are two time periods for the public tours to meet up and start the tour.

I talked to vip tours today and they are doing more emails out as others have not received the info to list check in time.

it could take another day?? for all to get the new confirming emails.

if you don't get an email by monday, then call vip tours.

i booked a private tour and all my info came hours after i booked.

today i received a new email from vip tours as they changed our meet up time and tour departure time.
believe they worked on the private tours first and now resending out the public tours info.

Glad you posed this question. I see the site has been updated as to these tix/dates, sticky updated.

http://www.halloweenhorrornights.com/orlando/add-on-ticket-deal.html

Their website states (in the General Admission section) that the FLEX ticket does not have to be used the same day as your daytime them park ticket. Then states that daytime single park tickets start @ $104.99.

There is an ADD-ON tix that can be purchased in the General Admission section also, but you have to select a specific night (prices vary depending on the date). However, it doesn't have to be used the same day either.

I'm wondering if these options for HHN are only valid on 'new' one day tickets or whether a multi day tix qualifies? I would call again and ask to speak to a supervisor.

Please come back and let us know, good luck.

Both Universal and HHN web pages have been updated, now offering (and working) add-ons (flex and preselected). HHN Express Passes can only be purchased at HHN dedicated page or at the park.

Hey Everyone! First time EVER going to HHN. Unfortunately we're only in Universal for 2 days, 1 night on a Saturday in October. We got a multi-park pass but I have a few questions about HHN. Does the park close earlier than their listed times for HHN? Should we get an add-on ticket? If we get the add-on ticket for $82 and then get the express pass, it's another $120 on top of the $82 add-on and regular park admission? Sorry for so many questions, it's just confusing for your first time! Any help would be appreciated! :thanks:

i'm looking at the hhn site for prices.

based on your numbers, you plan on going oct 1st, on the saturday.
$83 for the add on hhn ticket and $120 for the express plus tax

that add on ticket gets you into to the parks for hhn.
use the express one time per house and for the first show of Bill and Teds.
wait unti the lines are over 30 minutes before you use the ep.
probably will see the long hour wait lines later in the evening after 10 pm on the favorite houses.

buy your ticket at gs and show your day ticket for the discounted add on hhn ticket.
(think you know that from reading the threads about the event.)

anyone with a day ticket can buy the add on hhn ticket.

the studios will close at 5 pm to the public.
stay in the park and wait in one of the holding pens until you are released to start the houses early.
your hhn ticket is scanned when you enter one of the holding pens.
you can't leave that area and are cofined with others in those sections until security gives the all clear that the park is empty.
then you are released to start the houses.
you can do a couple of houses early before the crowd outside the park is let in.
not all houses will be open at 6:00.
some are staggered.

if you choose not to stay in the park, you will have to wait in the outside the gate line to enter the park.
and, you will go thru metal detectors before you will be allowed inside.

on Fridays i have seen the line outside the gate start after 4:00.
peeps line up early so they can get in the park to do hhn at 6:30.
Saturdays are more crowded than Fridays.
expect to see line waits out by the gate.

that ep you buy will save you lots of time in long lines waiting to enter a house.
you will find that once it is 11 pm, lines are even longer than they were at 10.

if you have more questions, just ask.
someone will be able to guide you thru this process...

we all were newbies at one time and know there are some things to be aware of in advance.
main thing is, stay in the park when it closes.

ioa will stay open until 8 pm that saturday.
gringotts will be operating

the 83 and the 120 will get you in the park for hhn
$203 plus taxes out the door is your cost.

you already have the multi pass park ticket.
you show that to buy the add on ticket.

in total, you will have the day ticket, hhn ticket and the express pass for hhn

I still hadn't received an email so I called the VIP Services Offices. The girl on the phone said that for online orders they don't send an email and that it's only sent when booking over the phone. She pulled up my order and was going to send me the email with the details. I just wanted to update in case anyone else was having similar issues.

i'm glad you are sharing this information.
I assumed that all that book, received the confiming email.

i always book by phone and have received two emails.
the first to confim my order and the second one to change the start time.

If I already have a 3 day hopper for the parks that I purchased from my union can I buy the add on from the Universal website? I was going to do the Frequent Fear as that is what I've done for 8 years but I think if I can do the add on I may just do that
