Off to Neverland...A BOGO Trip Report! PG 44 ~ It's over

Children understand far more than we give them credit for. And what a wonderful mommy you are that you sat and expained exactly what is happening. Most don't do that. You are still in my prayers!

and finally...my friend (may I call you that?) You have committed a pjv sin. A sin of golden calibur...you see WISHES is MY FAVORITE...it is a must! Please promise (pinky style) that you will bring yourself and those beautiful kiddos to see it next time. First thing off the plane.

Well okay, you can go drop off your loot.

Fine, you can go potty.

okay then, you also can wait until night time.

But please go and see it.

Okay?

Got it?

Good!:)

Of course you can call me a friend! :goodvibes  Lets just put it this way PJV, my friend, I joined Tour Guide Mike!! :rolleyes1 It won't happen again!

I just read your next post and I cried too! What a wonderful mommy for explaining things so lil DizMan can understand...but I am sorry you all have to go thru this...I will continue praying for you all!

 This was a 5 kleenex post and you did that beautifully mom.

I'm going to let the pictures tell much of this story. You know what they say...Pictures are worth a 1000 words. Since I am too lazy to type 1000 words, the pictures will have to do.

Lunch, the all important midday meal. A meal with champions.

Well at least a few enlarged friends.

Who happen to have larger feet than I. (is that possible?)

We were headed to our lunch ADR’s at the Hollywood & Vine, Playhouse Disney Lunch.

I booked this meal shortly after it’s opening. I did this knowing that the first reviews were just mediocre, but I still wanted to give it a try. After all it had many of my Tink’s, favorite early A.M. ‘friends’.

Tink was a late talker, but JoJo was one word she new (along with Bell Bell (for all princess’ and then there was MoMMA - of course).

Why choose lunch, you may ask?

Well, the way I figure... We don't miss any of the GOLDEN park touring time, by choosing Breakfast. After all most ADR breakfast time slots fall after park opening. The time when the park is the least crowded. And you my friend and us, should be hitting the attractions.

As fas as you can.

Where are all crowds of people?

Just like us, usually trying to get their butts outta bed, kids dressed and out the door.

It's tough to be a parent.

And a bug too.

Okay, back to the Story Jen. (yes I enjoy talking to myself).

When we entered, we were greeted by brightly dressed, fun and excited CM’s. We were quickly seated in a very empty restaurant. My first thoughts were that I had made a mistake in my planning. Those thoughts were quickly washed away as we heard the music start.

Suddenly Playhouse Disney CM’s appeared on each side of the restaurant, the Characters joined them and they invited the kids up to dance and sing.

The scene was Priceless.

Simply Priceless.

Tink began yelling, “Momma Go, Go!”

“Go, Go!”

So we let her out of her highchair and watched as she ran over to the group and jumped in and began to jiggle her booty to the music.

Lil’l Diz Man, hung back and decided to take it all in via the seat, which he sat.

My only ‘complaint’ (not really) was that the fun music/singing/dancing seemed to be going on every 5 minutes. I never did time it, but seriously as soon as one of us got up to get food it started. By the time a character came by, we took our pic’s and got a siggie, the music would start again. It took us FOREVER to get a plate for each member of our family and then eat it… But it was worth it! So worth it! We would go there again, just to play…it was that much for TINK! (mom & dad and big bro too).

Big Bro got into the fun!

The food was great! There were several ‘warmed’ dishes to choose from, a build your own sandwich station, carved ham & turkey breast, mini kids food bar and a nice dessert bar. Some of my favorites were the Chicken Satay w/peanut sauce, seafood pasta & garlic mashed. (This girls loves her some mashed!).

As buffets go, I felt this was to par with the rest of them.

I give it:
B+ for Food
A++ For atmosphere and fun!

This would be our last buffet meal. Buffet-wise, weighing in at #1 for food would go to Crystal Palace…just based on pure amount of choices alone. #1. For dessert hand down goes to Chef Mickey’s… the dessert buffet rocks! #1 For fun absolutely, positively goes to The Hollywood & Vine Play house Disney Lunch.

The kids just couldn’t get enough of the fun. In fact I had to take a bit of food with for Tink to eat after we left, because she just would not each while we were there. (Don’t worry…No Flames needed. I asked the CM if it was okay).

On our way out my DH & I decided to take the kiddos potty. The potty was on the other side of the restaurant, so when we came out of the potty the ‘fun’ was going on again.

Tink jumped right in and would not leave until it was over.

Lil’l Diz man also decided to join in on the fun…from a bench.

Tummies full, we needed to catch a few things before heading out for the day.

Wow... Tink looks like she had a blast!!!
As much as ly girls loves her some princess's, watches PHD everyday! (Why aren't there any princess's on there?) We rea;;y were amazed at just how much fun she had. We stayed there for well over 2 hours, just so she could dance. Another magical event that we witnessed on this trip! Pure Magic!

You are so right! My girl thinks she is 'shy'...that is a bunch of bull. SHe sure knows when to play it up!

Girls.?!?

by the way, your conversation with lil diz broke my heart and warmed it at the same time. you're such a good momma!!!
Thanks! We can only do our best as parents.

I need my DS to understand as much as he needs to know about what is going on. I always try to tell my kiddos the truth (in their terms) and I always bring conversations full circle, so I know they understand what we have talked about and make sure their 'feelings' are working and they can explain them.

It is tough though.

Say it ain't so - your ticker is down? :guilty:
It's a bummer...but it may be back. We will just see what goes down... well maybe that wasn't the best word. What goes UP! Keeping it positive...I'm trying!:wizard:

Jen I went through exactly the same with my DD's except they were a bit older and it's so hard to get the balance of them knowing something and not too much, I think you did a great job

As I said on your dining report I just love the photos and Tink is adorable :goodvibes

So far I've made it to page 17 :cool1:

Oh well I guess I'l have to finish reading it tomorrow...:surfweb:

I'm loving all the details and pics. Tinks haircut is soo cute and the guys are looking mighty handsome with their do's.
