I found this board a few days ago and it is mind boggling. I never knew there were Disney enthusiasts like this out there. WOW! What a wealth of information here!

We have a DW vacation booked for the 2nd week of September, and from all of my reading it seems like this is a great time to go. My biggest concern is that it seems we won't get to see the popular Spectromagic parade at the MK. :( We are going from Sunday through Saturday (leave Saturday) and if they only do it on Saturdays we will miss it. I was so disappointed to learn of this. Do they ever add shows during the week? I hope so.

Well, I'll be keeping my eyes on this forum as I do some trip planning. Thanks for all of your help.

Hi Novafan!

Isn't this board great? Just when you think you know all you ned to know, you will learn MORE! We will be in WDW from Sept. 10th - 19th. When will you be there? We are staying at the Poly (where else?). Where is your family staying?

As far as I know they only do Spectromagic on Saturday. Don't worry about missing that one things, tho - you will experience so many other great things at WDW that you won't miss it!

Thanks for the welcome, Tracy. Wow, we will be there Sept. 14th through the 20th. We are staying off site at the Liki Tiki lodge for 3 nights and then 3 nights at the Contemporary. I can't wait!!

Welcome to the DIS novafan ! Sorry, I don't have any info. for you , I just wanted to say hi:wave: !

Kerry,

You will have such a great time - especially at the Contemporary. Have you ever been to WDW before? We've been before with our 11 year old daughter, but this is the "first" trip for our 3 year old daughter (she went when she was 3 months old!) and 9 month old son. Our three year old has NO concept of what she's in for - she is going to love it. She watches the planning videos and looks at the guide books, but she has no idea how great it really is!

How old are your kids?

Tracy

Welcome, novafan!! Wish I could tell you that Spectro would probably be added during your trip, but that's probably not the case.

BUT, you're gonna have a wonderful time anyway!! And you'll have something great to look forward to on your next trip.

BTW, are you at Ft Bragg?? Possibly on your way to Carson?? I was an Army wife at Bragg for four years in the early 80's.

Cant really help but wanted to say hi...

I do hope that your name would be Chevy and not the space type nova... not that i have a problem with space or anything...

im a chevy fan too

WELCOME:) :bounce: :D :bounce: :D :bounce:

I had to laugh at the "novafan" comment. Actually, I am not a Chevy fan, but my nickname comes from my LOVE for the Villanova Widlcats basketball team. Too funny!

Tracy, I have 2 boys, one will be 14 months and the other will be 3 and 2 months. He has no idea what he's in for either!!

Yup, I am at Fort Bragg and we just found out that we will head to Carson after DH finishes up some training here.

novafan: We've been the last three years in September, and Spectro has only been shown on Saturday nights during that time except once. There is a special going on where people can book 7 nights for the price of 4 (can't remember what it's called) and the assumption is that this will increase crowds this fall. If that happens, there's a chance they will run spectro on Friday night. Keep your fingers crossed. We'll be there 9/5 - 9/14, purposely over a Sat night (actually two) so we have a better chance of catching it. I love this parade.
