I never experienced migraines but a friend of my DW gets them all the time. I know one thing about them- they are not fun.:sad2::sad2:

That's exactly how I feel. :thumbsup2 I started back running yesterday morning--and boy, my legs are feeling it today. I know I should have rested, but I got up early anyway and just walked. I hoped it would help stretch out my aching muscles.

I agree. Most of the time the motivation is there. I don't ever want to get back to where I was before this year.

My migraines are hormonal so there really isn't any way to avoid them (hopefully menopause will cure me! not that I'm encouraging menopause to arrive or anything :rolleyes1 ). I've dealt with them all of my life so I'm pretty used to functioning with them. Usually it's only two a month, but sometimes they hit me harder for some reason.

AND THOSE MIGRAINES ... crap. :headache: My younger DS suffers with them ... he just shuts the world off when they come on BUT, you, your a Mom and have three little boys to care for ... :hug: :hug: (And sweetie, menopause is no fun, don't wish that on yourself any sooner than necessary.) :laughing:

We had about 3 days of no contact while they were searching for the pilot. They always cut off all communication when something like that happens so the military can talk to families before they hear gossip. He usually calls on Thursdays so that didn't happen last week. And he has a new schedule again and we have less time to chat via email. But, he's safe and that's all that matters.

Carissa, have you ever thought about wearing a pedometer and tracking your steps daily? I wear one when I work out. I then keep a journal of my steps and what my w/o was for that day. Remember, for me, years ago I lost allot of weight after (24yo Mike) DS2 was born! For me, that was a life style change COMPLETELY. I was done with the weight and FOR GOOD. I feel like every day is a maintenance day for me.
I usually power walk for 70 minutes, yesterday I was done and back home in 55 minutes AND added 500 more steps!! :teeth: :teeth: (I am a bit sore this a.m. but I will be back out there again today.)

You really inspired me!:worship: And it is all your fault that 3 hours later I still feel like I've got a bug caught in my throat!:lmao: But I knocked out 2 miles at a 10'40 pace! That is my BEST pace yet (been hitting about 12-12'20 lately which I thought was smokin'!), so thank you very much for getting me out the door today. It is amazing to go from "OMG I have to run 20 minutes, without a walk interval" to "I'm just going to run 20 minutes today!" Keep up the excellent work and keep achieving your goals!:thumbsup2

You mentioned the pedometer when I first started this PTR. I think I have one around the house somewhere. I should get it out and see how many steps I get on an average day. I don't really have an interest in wearing it all of the time, but it would be cool to see how much I walk.

I hadn't heard about the pilot, how horrible. His family is in my prayers. I hear you on the workouts, I haven't been since last weds and I am dying!

I bet the pedometer results would be interesting. There is no telling how many steps I walk around my school in the course of a day.
