My DD Met Gary Sinise!

We saw the CP on the 23rd at 8:15pm and it was wonderful. It was the first time any of us had seen this event. We stayed for Illuminations right after that but I could feel a migraine building during the show. After the crowd cleared out a bit, I told my DH I needed to take some medication and sit down for a bit. We were right by the American Adventure pavilion and pretty much everyone was gone when Gary and his family (and security) appeared and walked right past us. My DD chose operationiraqichildren.com as her leadership project for NHS this year so she really wanted to meet him and talk to him about that. She hesitated because she didn't want to look like a "dumb fan", but I encouraged her to just go over and see what happened. My mother helped by going with her. Gary was very gracious to her and asked where she had heard about the organization (Oprah magazine). She got his autograph and shook his hand. I, of course, missed all of this because I was sitting on a brick wall in pain! But...she wouldn't have gotten to meet him if I hadn't gotten the migraine. It's weird how things work out. Anyway, it was a very cool experience for my 15 year old.
