MR trip reports

I want to pipe in also and say THANK YOU!!!! :) We have a day off school today because of the weather and are happily looking at the activities in the Navigators. 5 days to go.... :woohoo:

wow, glad you all enjoyed it. i was wrestling with the scanner last night to get it all to work and it ended up taking about 1.5 hours...and i went to sleep at 1am but if y'all are happy then that's great.

RVD.

Thank you for your efforts, you have made a lot of people happy today :goodvibes

I can't finy anything listed on the Navigators about a Galley Tour.
Were there any kitchen tours offered?
Thank you!

We've also been looking forward to the Navigators and appreciate the time you took to post them! Thank you so much!

there was an "unadvertised" one on Saturday at 2:45 p.m....waiter told us on Friday night. It wasn't in navigator. if we wanted to go, we were to be at side door of triton's at that time.

Less than 2 weeks to go for our cruise, just wondering how the weather was and how rough the seas were. Based on what I have seen, the weather in Cabo doesn't seem too warm. Puerta Vallarta seems to be better.

Also, we haven't booked any excursions, thought we would wait until we get to the port. Did anyone else do that? Any luck? We want to do the whale watching, but if the seas are too rough than we won't do it.

Just wanted to add my thanks, RVD, for sharing the Navigators! I've never been on a cruise and won't be the MR until the Fall. I'm sure Disney will be tweaking things and can change activities, etc. between now and then but it helps give me a really good idea of what to expect. (Or am I wrong....will 95% of the Navigator stuff be the same in 9 months???)

Also thanks to the other folks who provided trip reports in this thread. :flower3: Any input on great sale items available in the shops or if the duty free alcohol prices on the ship were good prices?

P.S. Didn't see a "Tea with Alice" n the Navigators which I read about in other threads as being typically offered on 7-day cruises. Maybe it's only a Carribean thing?

There is a "Disney Friends Tea Party" mentioned in the Navigator for the 1st day. Maybe this is what they are doing instead of the Tea with Alice?:confused3

I've got this posted in another thread but thought I'd post the question here too for more traffic. Did the ship change to Mountain Time while in Cabo and Central Time while in PV? I'm trying to plan some private excursions and some of the timeframes will be tight if arrival times are based on Pacific time. (Plus our late dining suddenly works much better for my kiddos if we are changing time zones.)

Also, if you had to estimate, about how long did it take non-Disney tour folk to get off of the ship in Cabo? We're supposed to arrive in Cabo at 11:15 and I've got a private tour I'm thinking about that starts at 1:30. If the ship changes time zones I think I'm good for this tour, if not I'll have to look around for other alternatives.

ETA- Based on info from another thread on the 1/23 cruise it sounds like the ship adjusted to Mountain Time in Cabo and ship time stayed Mountain Time in PV (not switching to Central). I'm curious how they'll handle that on our cruise where our first port is PV.

Ah ha! Belle, your eyes are better than mine! I'll bet that is the same tea event. Thanks for spotting it.

I was thinking that there might be some activities, etc. that they offer on 7 day cruises in the MR that are not offered in the Carribbean and vice versa.

Which of the kids club activities were the best and which did your kids not enjoy as much?

We changed to mountain time on monday and back to pacific time on sunday. We did not change times in pv. Christian told everyone to ignore the local time in pv.

There was crab, crawfish, sushi, etc at the last day lunch buffet. There were crab claws in an earlier buffet as well.

Thanks to all who have posted their experiences about the Wonder and Mexico. We're sailing on the March 20th cruise (our first DCL cruise), so I'm keeping my fingers crossed that the kinks will be worked out by then. Especially with the kids club as our youngest is looking forward to it.

Oh, and So_Oregon thanks for the heads up on the Duck Tee shirt info. I'll make sure my freshman at the U of O and the rest of us wear our Duck shirts just in case the Auburn fan is working customs again. ;) Gotta mess with them for fun.....Especially now that Cam has left their house. :cool1:

I'm on the same cruise. You should check out our cruise thread (if you haven't already): http://www.disboards.com/showthread.php?t=2437238&page=64

I saw that too, but then there was no other mention of it. Can someone fill us in on when this was held? If you went to it, could you tell us about which character(s) were there and what it was like?
