I guess it's not getting lost--someone mentioned in the main forum they couldn't find this week's cruise thread--and it was probably because it had fallen to the bottom of the meet page. I suggested it because I saw other trip meet threads start a separate FE thread to keep track right at the first post of who was going and who wanted to participate.

But I did figure out how to subscribe to this thread so now I can find it wherever it goes on the page--that sure made it easier! Maybe we're just not having as many people on this cruise as on others. Perhaps because a lot of first time cruisers like myself are signing up due to the kids free deal and don't read Disney boards? Dunno.

This will be our second cruise. We did a 4 day on the Wonder in 2006. I am the sister of tditter, and will be traveling with her party, my husband and DD 14. We are so excited about a 7 day! We are both (sis and I) trying to figure out the FE thing. Merryweather, did you figure out how it all works?

I haven't figured out what to do for the gifts--I was kind of waiting to see how many people were interested in participating to get an idea of numbers. I think some cruises have a LOT of gifts to distribute, but I read that if it's a huge number, people break the group down into smaller numbers.

OK, thanks! I think it would be fun, but I don't want to lug around 100 gifts, so I was a little worried! Nice to know it can be broken into smaller amounts if necessary. I will check out your links.

We would like to join the FE group. We did it on our last cruise and the kids loved getting little surprises when we came back to the room! Hopefully I can find my old FE. Although with the kids being older now, it may be fun to have them help me make a new one!

Now that the kids are in school all day and I have some mornings free, I've been thinking about just zipping up to Anaheim to wander the park by myself--such a luxury!

I don't know anything about the fish extenders--I'm so new to all this cruising business but I did flip through the thread with people making things to give away--SO creative and adorable. I'm not creative at all--y'all would end up with a nice pack of gum from me or something . But if someone has done it before and wants to head it up--I'm game to try!

I really want to go up without the kids. DH & I used to do it and haven't done it in about 2 years. I might just have to soon

I'm never done the FE either but it seems like it would be fun to try

You should do it! I'm kind of getting hyped up about it--this morning I ordered some stuff to try to make a FE and I'm thinking about things I could make for the gifts. I like to make candy so I might try something that will pack well. I am so impressed by the gifts people make--I feel a little inadequate! But it's fun to get the creative juices flowing and it makes anticipating the trip that much more fun.

Hey y'all, a couple of questions:

1. How do you feel about posting your stateroom # in a private message to the group. Is that too paranoid? I don't have a problem but if someone doesn't want to post their stateroom # they could send their # in private messages to those participating.

2. What should be the cut off date for FE people to join? And how do you know when to split groups? What do you (everyone) think about January 1st? That would give us 3 weeks to finish any projects? Is that enough time? Let's see how many people we get and then decide if it should be split.

3. Do we made stuff for each person in the stateroom, or do we do a family gift?I think everyone can choose how/what they'd like to give. The swaps I have been a part of have worked really well and were fun. Some people put a lot of effort into theirs and others got things at the dollar store and it was all good.
