Do you get to grab your own candy?
Can you only get 1 bag full?

We had one bag for each of us. Total of 3. Most of the time I had 2 or 3 in my hand at once. The CM put the candy in for you except as you leave the park there is a Snickers Treat Trough where you can get all you want.

Have fun!

a ? about taking pictures during the parade....

Did i read somewhere that you were not allowed to use a flash??

I have a new camera this year (EXLIM ZOOM wich i LOVE  by the way) and I am stoked about taking TONS of pics. I have some good ones from last year, but they are so dark! What do you guys do?
:confused3

Wow!! Are you serious?! :woohoo:

Only 6 more days till we get to WDW and only 11 days till our first MNSSHP ever!!! Can't wait. I work in a hospital so I am just going to go in scrubs, at least it will be easy and cool. My daughter, Aurora, will be going as Aurora. :) My 2 DNieces are going to be Jasmine and Cinderella. Can't wait to see the girls in their costumes together. Getting SO close now!! :cheer2:

Are the lines fairly long for trick or treating?
From what I hear they are long but the move fast.... as there is not loading and unloading...

I only saw long lines at a few stops about mid-way through the party. Then the lines started to shorten.

Regarding using flash-I used mine and no one said anything. Most of them came out good even with the falling rain. :goodvibes

:goodvibes My boyfriend and I are going the 29th. You wont be able to miss us-we're going to be Ariel and Eric! I'm so excited, this is my first ever event like this :)

You have to eat it before you go home!

not true. I got my bag searched at the gate before boarding my flight with my bag of candy and they let it on. The only item they debated on letting on was my applesauce that I forgot my children didn't eat but they let that on also. I mean they looked at every item in each of my carry ons. No liquids but snacks are ok.

We just went on the 22nd and I can't express enough how wonderful our experience was. However it was our first time going.

We all went through just one candy line and when we poured it all together it was almost a full bag which was more than enough. We did not feel funny going through as adults and did not get any different amount than our kids.

We entered the park at 7pm. I saw tons of cms talking to folks without bands and once we got past the main street I didn't see anyone without bands. While we were walking down main street cm's were asking folks to put there arms up and show there bands. It was quite congested in those areas with everyone coming in and everyone exiting.

We basically headed over to adventureland where there were no crowds. However we didn't plan on watching the first parade but ended up doing so because we got stuck there.

There were quite a few lines for the pictures but we didn't do any of those. We took lots of our own photos at different spots throughout the park.

We walked onto to every ride except space mountain. We went right after the parade and we maybe waited about 10 mins for that.

The fireworks were fantastic. We watched them in fantasyland by the carousel. Best fireworks I have probably ever seen.

Oh the candy we got. Lots of chocolate fingers, toes etc. Some tootsie rolls, reese mini cups, choc eggs. All good.

As long as they move fast

Man, you are KILLING ME with this obsession you have about the candy! I can't recall how many places I've read about your desire for it but it's HILARIOUS!!! :rotfl2:

We also went on the 22nd, and we had a great time. My bf and I decided to dress up our 2 year olds as Jasmine and Aladdin. So, naturally we had to get their pictures taken with the "real" Jasmine and Aladdin. When Aladdin saw our 2 kids, he told the CM, that our children will be the ones to get to ride on the Magic Carpets with them! :cheer2: I had never heard of that, :confused3 we thought that only happened on the Disney Marketing Videos! My daughter loved riding next to Jasmine, and Aladdin even handed her some " jewels". My bf son was a little shy, so she had to ride with him. I asked the CM if they did this all the time, and she told me that they do it for the Halloween Party sometimes ;) So needless to say this will be a MNSSHP we'll never forget! (At least us parents!) :sunny:

That is so neat! :goodvibes I love Disney magic! :wizard: Did you get to take any pictures? I know I'd love to see them! I'm glad you had such a wonderful MNSSHP experience!

:wizard: We're going w/ 2 toddlers & probably will have to cut the evening very early...any tips/ recommendations as far as parade (is there an early one) & must do's for the couple of hours we'll be able to enjoy it - thanks for the help!

bella's mom: I also thought that only ever happened just for the Videos. That's fantastic for you guys. Thanks for sharing.

Am I the only one who cannot for the life of her get a decent photo of anyone ON the Magic Carpet Ride? Oh, the bottom of the carpet, the side, the 1 after my kid's , etc....

I was so exhausted that this is what I did to "see it all" yet cut out early.

I got there at about 8:00. The parade was postponed due to rain so that helped. As soon as I walked under the train station, there was a nice spot for me to stand on the circle. Once the parade finished, I walked over to Casey's and found a table right in front to watch the fireworks. Whee! And there were several tables available to sit and rest the feet.

Then I walked over to Toontown and trick-or-treated from station to station (really I just followed the line). Then I went back to the hotel. It was awesome!

Hope this helps! :Pinkbounc
