Can anyone share what kind of candy they are handing out???

The candy I got were Snickers, Smarties, York Peppermint Patty, Bit o' Honeys, chocolate coins and chocolate footballs, to name a few. Yum! :thumbsup2

I was there on 9/15 and there is NO free photo, but you will get 50% off the photo. They had a photo station at the Haunted Mansion and also they had Cinderella's carriage over in Fantasyland where you could sit in the carriage. We didn't do this since we have teenage boys, but would have definately had the pic taken if I had young girls. We just skipped the photo completely since it wasn't free.

Still listed on this boards' sponsor site as "free photo" for MNSSHP????

The Webmaster for this site posted (here somewhere?) that the page had not been updated and there was still info from last year on it.
There are no free photos. :guilty:

I have a question that hopefully someone can answer... I thought I heard or read somewhere that the Magic Kingdom was going to show the HalloWishes fireworks show every night starting October 15 through Halloween regardless if it's a MNSSHP or not. In other words the usual Wishes show will go away for a couple weeks.

Can anyone confirm this? I was just thinking - if this was the case, for me it would make more sense to skip the fireworks on the night of the party because we'll see the same fireworks show a couple other times on the trip. This way we could be doing other things rather than fight the HalloWishes crowds for that hour or so... TIA if anybody knows...

I saw another thread -- somewhere around where Webmaster Cory posted MNSSHP photos -- that indeed, even though the DIS website is saying free photo again this year it is not & is a 50% photopass photo this year, but that they would be correcting that info -- eventually, I guess. :)

oh, pooh!

we had such a nice MVMCP pic.

we rarely see the disney photogs, can't imagine getting enough pics to fill up a cd; perhaps they'll be more in evidence during event or do they have special spots where they lurk?

someone posted that they just bought the photopass cd of pictures instead of buying a 5x7 of the party and the ghost in the haunted mansion picture didn't show up on the cd. Has this been everyone's experience?

Thanks for all these tips...we are not going this year but are planning a surprise trip next yr

I also read somewhere that you only get 50% off if you Order the photos THE NIGHT of the Party.... Is that true??

I need a tip :wave2: How is everyone getting all that trick or treat candy back home? Do you pack it in your checked bags or carryons and do you do anything special to pack it so it doesn't get crushed/melted?

Thanks, Calie

You have to eat it before you go home!

I want the ghost in my picture. If I have to pay for it, then I will. Thanks for the tip on that.

I've got a question I hope I can get some help with! :) Can you only get the 50% off a photopass photo if you get it while your at MNSSHP or can you come home and order it from online? Also, where are the locations to get your photopass photos at MK? How exactly does this work? Last time, I just took the photopass card home and looked online at the photos. I didn't know there was a place at MK to get photos, CD, etc. I'd like some details please. Thanks! :thumbsup2

:confused3 :confused3 :confused3

The CMs taking the pictures on 9/15 said you would get 50% off on any 5 x 7 you bought that night. We didn't buy any but they were taking pictures at many locations around MK. I had a couple taken with the Photopass card as well as my own camera. We have a great one taken in front of Tommorrowland with all the lights behind us. They were also taking them at several locations with the castle as a backdrop.

Hope this helps, feel free to PM with any other questions or you can read my report at:

One of the hardest things is to find a good spot for Hallowishes - because the crowds from the first parade will most likely stick around for Hallowishes it'll likely be very crowded in front of the castle... I haven't decided what I'm going to do yet. Since the parade / fireworks are the highlight of the night for me - I might just try to get a good spot for the parade / fireworks first thing (view the first parade) - and then use the second half of the night for the trick-or-treating, rides and other stuff...

We are going for the 1st time 9/29....a friend of mine was there last week. She said the fireworks were going off "all over the place" not just by the castle.....can anyone confirm this?

Yes this is true - it is a 360° show. We watched it last year from right in front of Pooh's Playful Spot or what ever they call it. It was still good, but nonetheless the firework show is designed to be viewed from in front of the castle to get the full effect or "wow" factor... But you can still see the fireworks from basically anywhere in the park and the audio is piped throughout the entire park.

You get a special photo pass card the night of the party from the WDW photographers. If you want the 50% discount off a Halloween picture you have to buy it the night of the party. If you want the pictures from the party to be on your regular photopass card (that can be used at all the parks, not just MK) then you have to have someone from the camera shop transfer the pictures from the Halloween photopass card to your regular photopass card. At that point you can get them put on the $99 cd. There is no discount available at that point. The discount is only good the night of the party off the Halloween pictures, not the cd. I think there is a camera shop at every park, but I know for sure there is one in the MK, just to your right as you walk in the park on Main Street. There is also one in Epcot near the main entrance, I think it is also on your right as you walk towards Spaceship Earth. The Grand Floridian might have one as well.

They should be listed on the maps or ask any Cast Member. These are permanent stores, not just set up for the party.
