Mnsshp 2006-tips Only

Well, we're night owls, so we were out until 11:45 that evening! There is an early parade, I think at 8:15pm, which is the one we did. The one thing I do suggest is to get fastpass for peter pan at the beginning of the evening, otherwise you'll be in a very long line. I know that if the lines are over 15 minutes we usually skip them. Which is why we've only done Peter Pan twice. We love the rides, so that's our main focus, we skipped the fireworks and most of the candy lines. I'm sure that whatever you do you'll have a great time!

Be sure and get your picture taken. Last year the locations weren't on the map, but I asked a cast member and they pointed me in the right direction. And, they had special frames on sale in the stores that make a great keepsake for the picture. (These frames are only sold on party nights)

If watching the first parade, head to the opposite side of the park (Fantasyland, Toon Town, Tomorrowland) after the parade so as to not get caught up in the traffic of the second parade.

Don't miss the fireworks! They're great!

Be prepared for the park to be busy. We thought there would be less people than during the day since the number of available tickets were limited. We were wrong! It was absolutely packed the night we went (which was a Thurs about 10 days before Halloween).

We were there on the 22nd as well. We arrived around 5 pm. Did most of the rides in Tomorrowland (Buzz, Space Mountain, Indy Cars, Stitch) with no waits. We had dinner at Cosmic Rays at 6:15 then headed over to ToonTown to get in line for the face painting. From there we followed the trick-or-treating path. We skipped the first parade and went on rides. The only ride that seemed to have a really long line was the Haunted Mansion. They had lots of opportunities for pictures but you have to be willing to wait in line. We watched the fireworks from Fantasyland and they were GREAT. Even Grumpy, I mean my hubby enjoyed them. I found our spots for the 2nd parade while my dh took our dds on Splash Mountain. He said it was a walk on. After the parade we headed to Adventureland and did Pirates of the Caribbean and more trick-or-treating. My dds really enjoyed the trick-or- treating so they would often repeat lines 3-4 times. We ended up with way more candy then we will ever eat. Yesterday, they started dividing the candy into bags to mail to friends (We moved from Michigan to Tennessee in August). They were very excited to share with their friends. The CM did a great job of clearing the park and I never saw anyone without a wristband. Believe me I was looking! We had to show our wristband before entering the path between Toontown and Tomorrowland and before several rides (early in the evening). It was a lot of fun, but I will say it was much more crowded than when we went 3 years ago. For those of you who haven't gone yet, ENJOY!!! :goodvibes

We walked right on to peter pan about 1045 pm.

not true. I got my bag searched at the gate before boarding my flight with my bag of candy and they let it on. The only item they debated on letting on was my applesauce that I forgot my children didn't eat but they let that on also. I mean they looked at every item in each of my carry ons. No liquids but snacks are ok.

Sorry, I meant for that to be funny....I guess it didn't work.

Sorry I missed the funny. My bad. We were just so serious about the security with the kids so that it would go smoothly. I thought there was no way we were getting on the plane when my 5y/o told the tsa guy that his weapons weren't in my backpack but in the suitcase. Fortunately Brody was dressed as a pirate and the tsa guy had a sense of humor and on our way we went. It is good to see they loosened restrictions somewhat. Sorry for being all serious.

I was there last night and had a blast! My boyfriend and I got so many comments on our Ariel and Eric costumes! The parade was great, the fireworks too. Didn't get much candy but didn't actively search it out. Get any pictures you want early, since lines at photo pass spots build up as the night goes on. Great experience!

This may be answered -got through 5 pages. Any suggestions where to get PS in the MK?

Most love to eat at LTT for the parties. Then there's the CP, the Castle, The Plaza and Tony's but most of them have been booked solid for months, especially LTT, CP and the Castle. The only places you might be able to get in now are Tony's or the Plaza.

The only two open DURING the party are LTT and Tony's. The rest take their last ADR by 6:00p.

Good luck!

We just got back yesterday. I want to give some information about the PhotoPass discount. I just claimed all my photos from our trip today, I ended up with 4 different Photo pass cards  I chose which ones I wanted from the whole trip (4-5x7's) put in the discount code from the MNSSHP card and got the 50% off ALL of the photos. It says on the back of the MNSSHP PhotoPass card, "See and share your vacation photos online and save 50% on 5 x 7 prints." Save 50% on 5x7 prints when you enter ID # .......... in shopping cart. Online discount is valid for one-time use only." I got 50% off the pics from all days of our vacation, Blizzard Beach included.

We also were able to take flash pictures at the parade.

MNSSHP seemed very crowded to me, Sept 29th. We went to the final MVMCP on Dec 20th last year and MNSSHP seemed way more crowded. No, not with people without wristbands, everyone I noticed had a wristband on. Don't know if they should claim that it is an exclusive party, how many tickets do they sell? Way too many IMHO. I did see a sign that it was Sold Out though. All the lines for pictures were at least 15-20 people long, and we got there a little after 6. Most of the rides were 20 min wait.

We did enjoy it but I think I enjoyed MVMCP more.

We just got back, attended the 9/29 MNNSHP, which was Sold Out. They gave us wristbands at the gate.

The only criticism we had was the lines for the characters and picture with Cinderella's coach (and I assume the Doom Buggy) were SOOOOOO long......they should consider adding more of these stations to future parties. In hind-sight, we should have made getting to characters and Cinderella/Doom Buggy picture a priority and done that first thing, before the big crowds (which started about 8 pm) although I am not totally sure that would have helped........

where is the doom buggy please ?

What time was the coach out for photos please? Need to get this done first thing, if possible !

Hi,
Was the old man carrying a lantern telling the story of the headless horseman before the parade there, and if so, where was he?

Thanks!

We attended the 9/29 party and my tip would be this:

Don't spend too much time waiting to see the Villains Mix and Mingle. I thought it was mediocre at best. Certainly not worth the 20 minutes we waited in front of the castle to see it.

We were in Liberty Square before the 2nd parade, asked a CM about the reading before the headless horseman and he said they don't do it anymore. We did see the Headless Horseman ride. It was about 5 min before the parade.

I didn't see a doom buggy out for pictures. Saw Cinderella's coach, but I don't know what time it was out. It was 10:00 before we got to that area. Line was still very long.
