So I’m in the fence about buying silver. My wife and I only ran the spring surprise so far and are doing the food and wine. We loved the springtime surprise run. And can’t wait for the food and wine. I’d only buy it to get to gold someday. My daughter is going to be a senior and my son will be in college in 4 years. Then it’s just us. We both have gotten back into running this year and races are always something to look forward to. Anyone know how long I’d have to ride the silver line before getting the chance to upgrade?

My friend joined as silver last year and was able to upgrade to gold this year right when the silver renewal window opened. As long as you're on right away when the window opens, you should have a decent chance.

Well wouldn’t you know it. I decided to take the plunge and buy it for both my wife and I. Our anniversary is at the end of the month so I figured why not.

Lo and behold a few hours later I’m able to snag 2 half marathon bibs for us through the Twitter alerts for both of us at the Food & Wine weekend, which is what we really wanted.
