Miss & Peter's DFTW 12/9 5/20 Honeymoon Day 1/Madness

Yay an update! I love everything, but---

1) Great BEO! You're having a TON of stuff at your wedding for not too much money! Great work :)

2) You look lovely in your dress. I thought you should know. :)

3) Your DF made you that cake?! That is the most adorable thing I have ever seen!

4) Congrats on graduation!!!!

The fans were $63 and I got 30. I figure to make them would have been like $30-$40 bucks. I would have had to buy the paper, ribbion, sticks, ink, and glue. I love the dress even with the wrinkles but I just feel like they should fix it and it shouldn't cost us! thanks for the nice comments! Was yours long on the bottom?

Thanks for the info! I don't have the same dress as you (just the same netting issues) but no, mine wasn't too long on the bottom. I have long legs, have a large undercoat thingy (totally blanking on what they're called) and am wearing tall heels--4 inches (not so sure this is going to be my smartest move) and I actually think its a teeeeeny bit too short. Everyone says I'm crazy and if it were any longer I'd have to have it hemmed, but it is just short of the floor

We were going to have mickey and minnie but our budget is $15,000. With everything we have right now we only went over a little bit. Cutting floral is what saved us.

Thank you very much! You look lovely in your dress also!

3) Your DF made you that cake?! That is the most adorable thing I have ever seen!
Yes he did. Last year he made me a castle cake. It tasted great also!

4) Congrats on graduation!!!!
Thank you so much! It feels great to finish. I wanted to start working on my masters but I think I am going to wait until after the wedding.

Are you having the i-pod set-up for your wedding? If you are, what kind of music are you going to play? I don't think we will have any dancing, but I feel like there needs to be music in the background.

Our wedding is going to be at 10:00 AM and we will be havving a brunch at 12:00. We are saving alot of $$ by having breakfast food. Our guests are excited for the Mickey waffles! Here is the menu for the reception and dessert party.

Reception ($41.50 per Guest)
Chilled Fruit Juices, Coffee, Mimosa's and Soft Drinks. We will have a BOC bar.
Cinnamon Rolls, Danish Pastries, Croissants, & hard rolls severed with Butter, Presesrves and Marmalade. Scrambled eggs with cheese. Mickey Waffles with Seasonal Berries, Warm Fruit Compote, Maple Syrup & Whipped Cream. Smoked Bacon and Sausage Links. Hash Browns.

Dessert Party ($30 per Guest)
Mickey Crisped Treats
Tie-Dyed Cupcakes
Chocolate-Peanut Butter Marshmallow Squares
Petit Key Lime Tarts
Mini Cheesecake
Fruit Punch
Coffee, Tea

Our cake will be three layers. The Bottom layer will be Chocolate with Peanut Butter Cup Mousse. Middle layer will be Red Velvet with Cream Cheese Mousse. The top will Yellow Cake with White Chocolate Mousse.

Yummmm all of your food sounds great!!! Especially the tie-dyed cupcakes. :)

As for your above question, we're going to have a guitarist for the pre-reception (I think? We have him for 3 hours, so I think so) and then probably switch to an ipod setup--- we have our own speaker system that is pretty good quality. We're just going to play background music--- love songs probably? We're not doing dancing either, really, but I do want to do the first dance, father/daughter dance, etc. :)

I have a few updates!
First of all we got our save the dates and I will be sending them out tomorrow. I was never going to order save the dates but I got a coupon for 10 free save the date magnets, so I used it. Here is a picture of them. The pic we used for them is from an Iron Maiden concert we went to last year.

Next Saturday my grandma is throwing me a bridal shower. It’s going to be an Alice in Wonderland theme. I will post pics. I went to an Alfred Angelo store a few weeks ago and bought this dress. I am going to wear it to the shower, and also when we have dinner at California Grill during our Disneymoon. Sorry my face is all red. It was super hot outside.

On this day we will be going to the MVMCP
Wednesday December 14
Our last full day, we wanted a reservation at Le Cellier but there is nothing available. We also check into to our free room at the Poly so we were thinking of either making a reservation at Kona or at Ohana or we would just order room service so we could enjoy the resort. What do you guys think would be better? I wanted to mention that we already got our reservation number for our free night and when I entered it on the Disney site we were surprised to find that we will be staying in the Honeymoon suite at the Poly!!!!!!! We were shocked because we thought we would just get a standard room.

I need advice about the reception music. The thing is, is that I really don't see our guests dancing. We are going to have the ipod set up and I was wondering what music I should play. We really just need to have the background music. Is it tacky if I just play Disney songs? I was thinking songs from movies, parades, etc, or would it be better to play other music? What are some of you planning on doing?

You look ADORABLE in our dress!!!! :) :)

I think all of your ADRs sound really good too. For your last night, I think you should order room service--- we ordered room service at AKL once and it was really nice. And that is FANTASTIC that they gave you the honeymoon suite! (!!!!) You said that they had to change the room for you--- do you mind if I ask how long it took him to get back to you? Because I'm STILL waiting!

As for music, I plan on just setting up an ipod and doing a mixture of Disney songs and non-Disney songs too--- just lovey dovey type songs that I really like. But if you want to do just Disney songs, then do it! :)

I e-mailed her on Wednesday and she responded on a Sunday. I think by Tuesday I got my new reservation number. So it was like a week process. Who is helping you with your room block?

I have Jason somebody or other--- he's usually been so quick! I emailed him on Tuesday, and nothing yet--- and I know he's out of the office today and tomorrow. Oh well, if I don't hear from him by mid-next week, I'll email again.

Oh my goodness I love your save-the-dates! They are a little unexpected but in such a good way. It's like we get to see so much of your personalities from one little picture-- too cute!

Thank you! I know what you mean. DF family was like you should have used a nicer picture but we were like this pic shows who we really are.

This past weekend my grandma threw me a bridal shower. It was an Alice in Wonderland theme. The shower actually turned out a lot better than I expected. There was a lot of drama surrounding the shower because it was supposed to be from my family (my grandma and two aunts) but my grandma ending up doing practically everything on her own. Thank god I have such amazing friends because they helped her decorate and conduct the games.

We put these in little bags with ribbon and gave them out to the guests when the party was over.

Everything looked lovely!!! Love the decorations, all of the colors looked great! And such a cute cake and cookies!!! So sweet of grandma :goodvibes

Ooohhh your shower looks LOVELY!!!!!! I especially like the... chinese lantern thingamabobs. Very adorable! And I agree, your grandmother sounds amazing.

I also want to see pictures of your dresses! I've had to shut myself in the house so I don't buy anymore. That's okay, I'm moving onto shoes next... :rotfl2:

(And PS Jason got back to me and my room is figured out--- I think my email probably just got lost in his inbox; no biggie!)

Thanks a bunch! I have only bought two dress so far, and one is the one in the pic that I wore to the shower. I was supposed to wear our cool blue dress to the shower but it was too big on the top and I need to get it altered. I am trying to cut my spending but its soooooooooooooo hard. Today I am going to pick up my wedding dress, I am sooo happy to get it outta that store!

Yay, for your free night getting sorted out! I am happy for you! :)
