Miss & Peter's DFTW 12/9 5/20 Honeymoon Day 1/Madness

Melissa,

I just got caught up and have really enjoyed reading your PJ. Your hubby is so sweet and you guys are adorable. Congrats on being a wife and having a beautiful wedding. I would like to say that I could slap DH's Aunt for the things she said and did but aside from that it was wonderful. She cannot take away the magic that you two shared. Your wedding was stunning and everything came out so prettyyyyy!!!!!!!

Thank you so much Courtenay! We had a blast at our wedding. I also wanted to slap her!!! :rotfl: If you every need any info or have any questions feel free to ask! :)

I am finally going to finish our wedding day.

We woke up from our nap about 30min before my grandparents came over. They were staying at All Star Movies. My grandma came to my room to help me get into my dress and my grandpa walked around and explored BLT and the Contemporary. Within 10 min I was in my dress and we were ready to go. We went out the front and our driver and car were there.

We had a town car from Mears. Our drivers name was Eddie Diaz. I recommend him to anyone that may be interested in booking a car . He was very talkative and had my grandparents laughing the whole way.

We pulled into Epcot and as soon as we got out of the car there was a man waiting for us with a clip board. I do not remember his name but I know he was super nice. He opened a gate and we entered the park. Our dessert party was in the UK section of Epcot. I felt so special when we walked in. Its true what every bride says, it was such a magical feeling. Everyone smiled and congratulated us. As we walked by the Rose & Crown Pub (this is where we told everyone to meet and surprisingly they were on time) our families started cheering and clapping and pretty soon everyone was.

Our tour guide walked us into the dessert party area. He showed us where everything was. I wanted to cry but I held back the tears. Everything was just so perfect. He told us to get a few goodies and to sit alone and enjoy our time together. He said whenever we were ready to let our guests in we could just let them know. Peter and I sat and talked for like 10min and then decided to let everyone in. Oh, we were also introduced to our photographers. I do not remember their names but they were fantastic. They had so much energy.

I really think the dessert party was a perfect way to end the night. Everyone had such a great time and enjoyed all of the desserts. We mingled and before we knew it Illuminations was starting. We went over to the picture set up and everything began. We were able to watch pieces of the show. Our photographers would scream, “Smile, Kiss, Hug!” I really love that Peter kissed my forehead and dipped me. I also highly recommend photography for dessert parties; these are some of my favorite shots of the day.

After the show we all stayed for about 15min and then they were ready to enjoy the park. This night the park closed at 12:00 AM. We said bye and made our way back to the car. On our drive back we talked about how much fun we had that day. Peter and I are so happy to be married. We got back to the room and I immediately took off my dress. I really wanted out. Then I sat down on the bed and we took out all of my bobby pins, and then got in the shower. Peter and I were exhausted and it was time for bed. or was it? Up next day 1 of our Disneymoon!

Just an FYI, we did not order the disk with all the pictures. But I did order a handful of our favorite prints.

Omg the food at your DP looks amazing!!!! And I love the picture of Peter kissing you on the cheek! Great update!!! :goodvibes

So this was the day of our MK shoot. Our pick-up time was 6:15 and I believe hair and make-up was at like 4:45 but I don’t remember. Anyway I was asleep and I heard my phone ringing. I answered and I was Jackie from Beaute Speciale. She was asking if we were still in the same room because she had been calling and knocking on the door and nobody answered. I WAS IN SHOCK!!!! Apparently it was like 5:05. I ran to the door to let her in and then went to the bathroom to wash my face and brush my teeth. She was so nice and told me not to worry. I slept through my alarm and everything. She also asked what time my pick-up was and said she would get me out on time.

So we were talking as she was doing my hair and I was exhausted and out of it. She even reminded me to wake Peter up!!!! :scared1: I am never like this! If she would not have told me to do this I would have gotten ready and he would have stayed asleep. It was kind of funny though, because when I woke him up he jumped up and looked terrified. She even helped me into my dress again. Jackie kept her word and we were out at 6:15.

We walked out to the front of BLT and met Rick and Penny. I was super tired but so excited for the photo session. If there was anything I would recommend to future brides it would be to not schedule a photo shoot the day after a wedding. We were soooooo tired.

Rick made a comment when we were driving over how great it was that we were on time. He said that brides are usually late and this interferes with their time. He also said that it worked to our advantage that our resort was so close to the park. It was pretty cool driving into the park. We drove up to the castle and got out of the van. The castle was turned off!!!! Rick went searching for someone to turn it on. While we were waiting we took pictures on Main Street. I loved how these came out. Then once the castle lights were turned on we took pics. I always have such a hard time keeping my eyes open in pictures. We took pics on the stage in front of the castle, inside by the Christmas tree, and by the fountain. My one request was to take pictures on the tea cups. Rick said this would not be a problem and we walked over. I LOVE ALL OF THESE PICTURES. Alice in Wonderland is one of our favorite movies and the teacups are one of my favorite rides. After we finished taking pictures here our hour was up.

On a side note, we were lucky that the park was pretty quite this morning. We only saw a few cast members that congratulated us.

We walked back to the van and headed back to BLT. When we got back to the room I showered. My plan was to keep my hair and make-up on for our dinner ressie at California Grill but I was tired and did not want to fuss with sleeping a certain way to keep my hair from messing up.

Peter and I went to sleep for a few hours. I woke up before he did. I remember I turned on my laptop while Peter was asleep and I ordered the gift for our gift exchange. Peter woke up and we ordered room service. We had the Breakfast Quesadilla - served with chorizo, cilantro cream and breakfast potatoes. It was soooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooo good!

After this we got ready and headed out to the boat dock (if that’s what it’s called) and made our way to WL. We really wanted to see the Christmas décor. We walked around and took some pics and bought some stuff at the gift shop.

Then we got on a bus and headed do DTD. We went into a few shops and bought some stuff. We had about 2 hours until our CG reservation.

We were walking back to our bus stop but then we decided to walk into the Art of Disney. Our plan on this trip was to buy an art piece that represented our special day. We had been looking since we arrived and found nothing. But as soon as we walked in we saw a piece by David Doss. We fell in love with it, it was just perfect. We had no idea but David Doss was there with his wife! We shared our wedding story with him and his wife got teary eyed. We told him that this picture was just so perfect for us. He told us that he painted it in honor of his, I want to say 25th wedding anniversary but I could be wrong. I know I should have taken notes but if I remember right he said that he and his wife got married at Vero Beach. He signed the back of the picture for us and we were on our way. We had it shipped to us. Thank god for the AP discount because it covered the shipping cost and part of the picture.

By now we had 1 ½ hours until our ressie. We were waiting for the bus and I got a phone call from my bank asking if I had just made this purchase, I was kind of annoyed but grateful at the same time . Like 30min passed and NO BUS!!!!!!!!!!!! We had less than an hour and we started to panic.

We literally got to BLT at the time we were supposed to be checking into CG. (I knew we should have been more responsible with time) We ran up to the room and I had my first I guess you could say panic attack or something. I just cleaned up the room and organized all our stuff and we were throwing things around looking for our clothes and what not. I put on my dress and looked in the mirror and I just felt so ugly. My hair looked puffy and my face was oily. I had planned on having time to get ready and it just didn’t work out. Then to top it off I could not find my shoes. Peter was ready and he looked so handsome. The only shoes I found were my glittery Nikes, black converse and a pair of flip flops. Peter told me just to put those on. I just started crying. I think I freaked him. I normally am punctual, organized and I just have my s*** together. He told me we didn’t have to go if I didn’t want to but he said he knew I would regret it because this was all I talked about for so long. I think I had that scary cry because he came up to me and held me and told me to get it together. He said I looked beautiful and we were going. I went to the bathroom brushed my hair and put on some make-up. We were already an hour late.

We walked over and checked in. I started to feel better. It was cool going up the elevator. Once we were seated things got better. The table was decorated and we were pretty close to the window.

Then I realized I forgot my camera. Peter went back to the room to get it. While he was gone I was looking around and noticed that a bunch of people were under dressed. There were people in jeans and t-shirts. I think they should enforce the dress code at this restaurant, I kind of felt over dressed.

Peter got back and we shared a flat bread. We also loved the food here. It was so delicious. We are definitely going back for our anniversary trip.

When Wishes started we stayed at our seats. We had a great view of the Castle. After Wishes was over we got the check. We skipped dessert because my grandma called and said she wouldn’t be able to come pick up my dress. I am so happy that I didn’t back out of this reservation. It was one of the best times we have ever had.

She was originally going to pick it up to take it back with her. But now we had to take it to her resort. We didn’t have a car so we had to go back to our room, change and walk to the bus stop at MK with a DRESS!!!! Peter carried it so I was lucky. We got in the line and ran into my BFF Vanessa and her mom. We felt kind of ridiculous with the dress but whatever. We got to All Star Movies and made our way to their room but got lost. Then I started to turn into a real b****. I had like 3 hours of sleep and just wanted to get back to our resort. Peter was also frustrated. We finally found the room and talked for a little bit. My uncle was there and he had rented a car and offered to drive us back. WE WERE SO GREATFUL!!!!! When we got back to the room Peter and I apologized for the mean things we said and went to sleep.
