Miss & Peter's DFTW 12/9 5/20 Honeymoon Day 1/Madness

Just started reading-- I LOVE the shirt you and your grandmother made!! That is too cute!

I am going to try to cut some stuff and I wanted to know if you guys think it’s tacky to just serve fruit at the pre-reception. I don’t want to overstuff everyone, but I also don’t want it to seem empty.

Do you think you could afford to do a fruit, cheese, and crackers spread? I'm not sure what the cost difference would be, but I think fruit and cheese is a really nice, light appetizer. Not tacky!

Can't wait to see the invites!

I LOVE those centerpieces!! :)

All your little finds are great!! I can't wait to see it all come together! So glad everything is working out well with you and your planner!

Thank you sooo much! :goodvibes I was going to have floral centerpieces but I didn't really want to spend alot of money on floral. Even the small centerpieces are pretty pricey. I ordered 4 carriages froms stumps and all 4 were cheaper then one floral arrangement.
I don't know how to respond to all the posts at once. Can someone tell me how to do this? For now I will respond one by one.

Hi! I just found your PJ and love it! We have a lot of similar things! Our favors are the same and I am having a carriage centerpiece for the sweetheart table and for the cake toper. Do you know where Peter got your bracelet? I love it and it would look great with the theme!

Thanks!!! :goodvibes I started reading your PJ and you are right we do have alot of similar stuff! From the colors to the decor. Our weddings are going to be awesome! :thumbsup2 I love your unity candle!! Peter bought the bracelet on e-bay. They don't always have it for sell and when it goes up its not on for long. If I find one I will send you a private message letting you know.

She was soo nervous when she made it, she didn't want to mess up. I ordered her one too it says,"disney grandma" and it has a minnie with a tiara. I will look into the fruit cheese and cracker spread. Thanks for the advice!

Loving your PJ. I'm new to the boards so yours is the first I have been able to "join in" with! You seem to be sooooo well organised. :thumbsup2

I haven’t updated this in awhile. I have FINALLY completed student teaching and last weekend I graduated from college!!!!! :cool1: Now that I am done with all that I can start to focus a little more on the wedding. My grandma is throwing me a bridal shower next month and it is going to be an Alice in Wonderland theme. I will definitely post pics. I am going to post the BEO first. Later on today I will post some pics of my wedding accessories, and Mickey fans. The only thing that I am changing with floral is the extra pedestal, I think the memorial candle with the white rose will be enough. For all the décor I am keeping it pretty simple. I really like what Debbie did for her ceremony with the floating candles and rose petals. I actually sent that pic to my floral planner to recreate it.

Thank you so much! I am all over the place also. For me it was better to buy the centerpieces rather then have disney create them. I know centerpieces aren't the thing that people most remember from a wedding but I stll felt like something needed to be on the table.

YAY for December Brides!!!!!! how have your plans been coming along, what is your theme? Aren't you excited to get married during Christmas time!

A few weeks ago someone started an Etsy thread and they posted some of their finds. I contacted a seller that makes the Mickey fans and let me just tell you guys she was AMAZING! We communicated back and forth until the fan was exactly what I wanted. I was going to try to make these but I am not very crafty so I knew it would end up bad.

My dress came in about a month ago and I went for the alterations. The only thing it needed was to be cut at the bottom. This was going to cost $300!!!!! That was ridiculous to me; all they had to do was take off like half an inch. I ended up getting the biggest petticoat they had to avoid this cost. This time they were pretty rude. The lady helping me started asking me why a brought my grandma and not my mom, and I told her because my mother is not involved in my life. You would think that after I told her that she would stop, but she started asking where she lived and if she would be at the wedding. She also made some rude comments to my nephew. Then I noticed that the top of my dress looked wrinkled. Has anyone else had this problem with their dress? I am going to post a close up of the top part. I asked her how to fix this and the lady said it couldn’t be fixed, that this happened because my torso is too short. Is this true? I am going to pick up my dress on June 28 and I can’t wait to get it out of there.

My dress!!!

This doesn't have anything to do with the wedding but for my Birthday Peter made it a Tangled theme. He made me this cake and I just had to post a pic.

He also got me this cool Mickey necklace! I love it!!!

This weekend I will attempt to make the place cards.

oooh i love the fans... and i LOVE big petticoats. you're officially the 3rd bride i know with issues on the belle wrinkles :( this makes me sad. i hope they're able to fix it for you!!

oh and happy belated--your cake is so cute!!

Love the fans! Do you mind if I ask how much they were? And I had the problem with the wrinkled part of the dress too. They even ordered me a new one and it's still kinda of wrinkled. And I'm making it worse since I ordered a size too big, unfortunately, and since it's a corset back, we're pulling it really tight which makes it slightly wrinkled. But your dress is so beautiful!!!!

YAY for December Brides!!!!!! how have your plans been coming along, what is your theme? Aren't you excited to get married during Christmas time!

I loooove Christmas time. The season feels so warm and cozy - it's just the feeling I want at my wedding, you know?

As far as theme --- I have colors! Pink and Green. Ladies in pink and gents in green. It's going to be cute, I think!

I didn't think I would like the big petticoat, but I LOVE IT!!!!! I don't think there is anything that can be done with the dress. :sad2: but I still love it, it just makes me uspet that it was so expensive and then to have these issues.

thanks for the b-day wishes.

I also wanted to tell you that I hope everything works out with your wedding. I've been reading your PJ and I think you should do whatever makes YOU happy! :)

The fans were $63 and I got 30. I figure to make them would have been like $30-$40 bucks. I would have had to buy the paper, ribbion, sticks, ink, and glue. I love the dress even with the wrinkles but I just feel like they should fix it and it shouldn't cost us! thanks for the nice comments! Was yours long on the bottom?

I have never been there during christmas time, so I am pretty excited! I love the colors! I couldn't decide between pink or lavender, but we chose the lavender in the end. Good luck with your plans! :goodvibes

Just joining in...I love what you have planned so far! You look beautiful in the dress!!! Congrats! Can't wait to read more! :goodvibes
