I was wondering if anyone has used Gigsky on the Fantasy yet and how the experiences were while at sea. Going on the ta in November and my sister would need to check her mails frequently but doesnt need each time 24h access. Fully aware of the DCL options, looking for a better match of her needs

Of course I had to look it up! I am slow to adopting tech these days - just this year bought a SIM card for 2 weeks in Scotland which worked great!

Anyway, a trusted review from January 2025. Seems like it’s not quite there yet and I personally wouldn’t rely on it for a TransAtlantic.

But if you DO, please come back and let us know!

Gigsky Review

I am on that cruise, too!

PS. I did the TA last year and used the ship WiFi every other day (noon to noon on the next day) and although it was very expensive, it did work great. I remember when DCL had a little area with computers you paid to use and it was SO slow and frustrating.)

Yeah on tas and spc i just took twice or three times a 24h dcl package but she would like to access her mailbox like twice a day just took see something needs her attention… as long as we are on European side we can roam since we re from Belgium but that 7d stretch til PC (and staying on for the 5n afterwards)

In FL you can probably find enough free WiFi at a hotel or Starbucks to get you through. But yes. All those Sea Days (which I look forward to) do harken back to the “old” days. I guess they had a telegraph or something? I look forward to being disconnected. iMessage and What’s App tend to work OK though without a charge.

Yeah although there was one ta even the whatsapp text was causing trouble. On the spc they even opened up photos for free on whatsapp woohoo lol
