Mid - Atlantic ABD anyone?

We're considering doing the Mid-Atlantic ABD trip next summer (mom, dad, kids ages 6, 10, and 11, and grandma). Has anyone, particularly anyone with kids, done this trip? What was it like? How are the accomodations split when you have six people? Anything you can tell me would be helpful!

We are leaving in a little more then a week and I then I will be able to answer some of your questions -- it is just going to be me, 16dd & 9ds. Dh and our 6dd are staying at home this trip. Our 6dd is pretty small for her age and I just didn't think she would be able to walk and keep up.

We are really excited about this trip!!!

We did this trip in mid July. Amazing is only the start. I have three kids 7-10-16 and they all made friends quickly and each found the things they liked best out of the adventure. You cannot go wrong with this adventure!! There was just the four of us, and no one had a family bigger than four, so I can't speak to how larger families were handled. Even the older folks without kids found plenty to do and enjoy. The surprises made it even better than you originally expect.
