Magic Bands

Hi there! my trip is coming up (not sure if my signature will have the right amount of days, but it's 28 days away), and i am wondering when do the magic bands come in?

ive heard when they first started it was a month in advance, but now that they have been around for a while the magic bands get sent a lot closer to your arrival than before. ive heard 20days or 10 days now.

which one is correct? ( i kind of hope its 20 days, i cant wait to receive them in the mail!)

For my trip last month, I got ours at around the 20 day mark. Here's hoping you have a great trip.

Mine came between 1 and 2 weeks before. I can't remember exactly. Let's just go with 10 days.

Just to double check - have you gone into your MDE account to confirm the shipping address and customized your bands?

If so, you should get an email and notification on MDE account when they ship.

We got our bands around 25 days from our trip. I got an email saying to confirm my address and they were shipped out about 6 days later and then we got them in about 4 days. I wasn't expecting them so quick after what I had read here so I was pleasantly surprised that we received them already!!

I arrive January 27th and my magic bands just shipped last Thursday. Won't get them until this Thursday so that puts me getting my band with about 12-13 days before our trip.

We arrive January 30 and our Magic Bands should come this week, probably about 14 days before our trip. They shipped this weekend. Can't wait!

yeah i did, i got an email to confirm my mailing address, and currently it says "magic bands are being customized. check back for shipping details". I really hope they ship soon! trip in 23 days! right now im expecting for them to arrive by jan 27-29ish.

Should be around then. My trip starts the 27th and I got them 13 days in advance.

I called worrying about them not coming in time and was informed the fulfillment center has gotten very behind on sending the bands out at 30 days do to being very very busy. They said it would beat least a month or two until they start shipping right at 30 days again.

We're 23 days out and our status still says "Your MagicBand order is being personalized. Check back soon for shipping details." If it is taking 10 days from shipping until delivery, this will discourage people from vacationing early pre-Disney.

It could be worth a call to check on them. I called last week because ours were being personalized for 14 days with no changed. The CM i spoke to had to put in a manual order because they were "stuck", and he has no clue what was going on with them. 2 days after his manual order I got a tracking number and they're on the way! The CM also told me when I called that they def should have shipped by then.

Good call. I called, explained we were leaving two weeks before our check-in date, and the CM indicated he would fill out a "form" with that special comment and see if the shipment could be expedited.

Just an overall reassurance that if you DON'T receive your MB's in time, you can still get bands at the resort desk when you check in.

(And, being "personalized" is definitely not a big thing.
The name printed on them is so infinitesimally tiny and being that it is hidden under the band, itself, when snapped on your wrist, it might as well not be there at all.)

Yes I have seen this. I thought the previous poster was implying there would be character choices instead of the 7 solid colors for the "free" bands

I bought the Mickey band already for my trip in October. Got it from a Florida seller and linked it to MDE.... easy as pie!!!! Looking for one for my soon to be hubby as well so we have the plain ones and the character ones
