March 31, 2011- DHS (Part 4)
After watching the B&TB show we set off to find some dinner. Well just our luck it started POURING. And when I say pouring, this was the kind of rain where wearing a poncho wouldn't even keep you dry
So we quickly ran into one of the shops on Sunset Blvd. for some shelter. We must have stayed in there a good 1/2 hour until the rain died down a bit.
We looked at all of the merch. and I spotted this Tron Mickey watch. It was cute, but not for $200
Over by the watches was an actual Disney animator who had his own little desk set right up in the middle of the store!
It was so cool to see him in action drawing all of the Disney characters. We got to chatting with him about the Animation Academy and he asked to see our drawings. He kind of smirked at mine

But he really liked my Dad's he said his was almost perfect! He didn't really look at my Mom's though because they were kind of stuck together from being in the rain
It was really cool to be able to chat with him, and it passed the time. The rain slowed down a bit so we decided to head out in the open again to find a place to eat!
We found the NBC Commissary and quickly ran inside. This dinner wasn't so fabulous, we were tired and wet so just got some food to tide us over.
I got the kids cheeseburger and my parents split some kind of sandwich with fried shrimp on top?? Lol I have no idea what that is...
Funny story about the Commissary, I kept pronouncing it wrong and my parents were cracking up. I pronounced it Kuh-miss-arry. Apparently that's not how you say it, and needless to say my parents corrected me, but I still to this day say it the wrong way
During our dinner, my parents stated they just wanted to head back to the room to chill and watch TV. I really really wanted to stay and see if the 10 o clock showing of Fant! would still be a go, so I asked them if I could stay and see if it would still go on. They reluctantly agreed, and I was super happy I'd get to be in the park all by myself.
Once we were finished we went outside and noticed something peculiar....could it be?....it had stopped raining!!!!!
All 3 of us were just amazed that the rain had finally stopped. Some random guy walked by us with our mouths hanging open and he said something like "It's amazing isn't it?" I think I replied "It's a miracle!!!!" LOL. I was just so happy the rain was gone
I asked if my parents still wanted to go back to the room and my Dad really did so my Mom went back with him. (She told me later on that she'd wished she'd stayed

).
Before they left though I really wanted to take a family picture in front of the hat so we found a PP photographer. The guy was really nice and he tried to take a few pics with my camera too but when he looked at the pic on the screen he stated "I can zee you all, but not de hat" (I tried to copy his accent there, Lol, I think he was Jamaican!)
Needless to say the pictures he took were much better!
Notice how I'm holding our ponchos behind me

Also notice how miserable my parents look!
My parents then left after that, and with them gone I had 2 FPs to use since my Mom had skipped TOT and RNRC earlier!
I quickly headed over to TOT first as I wanted to save my favorite, RNRC, for last. I got in the FP line and it was weird being by myself but it was a good ride, and very cool at night!
After I rode TOT I saw a line already starting to form for Fant! so I got in it for some reason. I took a few pics while I waited
I tried to get a good pic of the TOT all lit up but alas the trees prevented that from happening!
I didn't want to miss the show but I still had over an hour till showtime so I decided to risk it, got out of line, and head for RNRC. I got in the FP line and the line just stood still, for about 20 minutes

It was apparently down and of course the CMs had no clue when it would be up again.
I really really really wanted to ride RNRC one last time because it's my absolute favorite ride in all of Disney, but I had been so excited to see Fant! and waited all day for the rain to finally stop so I got out of line. I felt bad, but I still have that FP at least, and it's still in my wallet to remind me of my fave ride
When I got to the entrance of the arena they had already started letting people in! I quickly started speed walking because I wanted a good seat for this show.
