Let's Roast This Pig!- A March/April Birthday TR [Final Wrap Up! 9/27]

So when Prince Charming and Cinderella came by, he looks down and I have no idea how, but he spots my birthday button and wished me a happy birthday! I was shocked and yelled back a thank you. Prince Charming has very good eyesight!

I had to take a picture of this Prince Eric! He is hands down the best one I’ve ever seen! The Eric I usually see on most TRs, no offense, but he kinda looks like a girl, Lol!

After the parade was over, my parents really wanted to head back to the room and go for a swim till we came back later for MSEP and Wishes. I didn’t want to leave at all, but I agreed to make them happy so we made our way out of the park. I took some pictures along the way though.

This right here, is probably my favorite picture I took the whole trip. I just LOVE how the castle reflected in the water, and even the little duck swimming by

We did stop on the way out though and got some Photopass pictures taken in front of the castle!

I wanted to stay at watch the Dapper Dans, I just LOVE their outfits, but my parents were getting cranky so a picture was the best I could do. But what exactly are those things they hold that make music?! I’ve always been curious as to what they are.

We got on the bus back to ASMovies and as we were walking up the stairs to our floor, I noticed this:

Is that not a Hidden Mickey or what?! My Mom thought I was stretching it a bit, but come on it’s definitely a Mickey!! Anyone else see it?

My parents and I relaxed for about 20 minutes in the room then we headed to the pool. I only stayed in the pool about 10 minutes though, as I had other plans!

Oh, that's so cool you've met all 10 Disney Princesses! I still have yet to meet one LOL I have met Mary Poppins and the Queen of Hearts, but no princesses, almost met Snow White, but no princesses. I do still want to meet them, oddly LOL

Oh I love the Celebrate a Dream Come True parade as well, the music is very upbeat while at the same time being heartwarming. It's my favorite parade music out of all the Disney parades, though Mickey's Jammin' Jungle Parade is really cool, but it doesn't have the same effect as CADCT And that's so cool Prince Charming wished you a Happy Birthday I think I've heard about them doing that in other TRs.

I'm sorry you got to miss the Dapper Dans. I've seen videos on YouTube, but haven't run into them in the parks and they sound really cool, but yeah, what are those things they always have with them LOL

OMG, I see the Hidden Mickey! It took awhile for my eyes to adjust to it, but I can definitely see it. Yeah, that's SO a Hidden Mickey.

Nice update! Yay, I am so glad the weekend is here, AND I got to read a nice dis update. Life is good for the moment!
I have never really been a parade kinda girl. I am usually the person who thinks that while everyone is at the parade I can find some much shorter lines for rides! But, I am starting to wonder if I am missing out on something special that I had just never "gotten" before. I am kinda interested in the nightime parades with all the pretty lights. But, I usually wear myself out so much at the parks during the day that I am passed out at my hotel long before the night parades. Your pictures are lovely, so at least I know the parades are good Disney fun.

Thank you! Haha I'm glad my update helped make your weekend start off well Yeah you know we never used to be parade people either when we first went to Disney! But when I went with my friend last year and I saw them I knew I'd been missing out all along! Yes I agree the parks definitely wear you out during the day, and when the nighttime shows roll around you just feel like collapsing! And thank you, yes they really are a lot of fun, you should check one out next time to see if you like them!

Don't worry too much if things are a little rocky at school to begin with. I think it is always an adjustment. But, good things are in store for you. College will end up being great! Just give it a little time and keep a positive outlook.

*Hey everyone! I'm updating from my dorm right now! Things have gotten a lot better here. College life is definitely taking a lot of time to adjust to, but everyone is so nice here and the food is amazing, there's so many healthy options! Lol! The hardest part so far was saying goodbye to my parents, I literally broke down for about an hour and a half But it's getting better, thank goodness for Skype, emails, and texting!

Now for the update!

April 1, 2011- MK (Part 4)

So I last left off with my parents still relaxing in the pool while I had other plans for the evening!

I had asked them earlier if it would be okay if I left early to go back to MK to ride a few rides, do some last minute shopping, and stake out our spot for the evening entertainment. To my surprise they had agreed!

So after about 10 minutes in the pool, I hopped out and got ready to go back to MK by myself. I went down to the bus stop and there was an MK bus there very quickly. On the bus over there, there was a darling little girl in an Aurora dress with her parents who struck up a conversation with an older lady and her husband. That little girl talked to the lady the whole way there! She was so patient with that little girl, (she told the girl’s mother she is a teacher), and it was just so cute watching them talk.

We finally got to MK and I had some shopping to do!!

I first went to the Emporium to buy some things I’d had my eye on the whole week. I ended up buying a Sorcerer Mickey plush, a 2011 photo frame, a pen, and an adorable Mickey cosmetic case. I had been looking for one specific t shirt however, and the Emporium didn’t have my size.

So I headed over to Mickey’s Startraders to try my luck there! I found it there, and also ended up getting another shirt that kind of looks like pajamas, but it has the castle on it with different characters in ride vehicles flying around! I also got a keychain too, I couldn’t stop spending money!

So with all my purchases in hand I headed over toward Space Mountain. Remember my parents going on Space earlier in the day without me but getting FPs for it later? Well I had one of them with me so I was excited to ride it again.

When I got to the FP line there was a CM explaining to a lady that her 10:30pm FP was not good yet and she’d have to wait until that time. When I showed my FP to the CM she started to get annoyed that she’d have to explain the FP again, but realized mine was from 10 am and let me through. Lol

The wait wasn’t bad, and the ride was awesome of course. I probably should’ve shopped after Space though since my 2 bags, plus my park bag, plus me inside that tiny little ride car was quite a tight fit!

After I was done on Space I decided to head over to the Hub and go ahead and save our spot for the MSEP and Wishes. I sat in the main circle right by the entrance to it. I called my parents to see where they were and they were already on the bus coming back to meet me.

I took a few pics while I waited for them.

I thought this shot was cool the way the sun reflected.

My parents finally found me, and my Dad decided to hold our spot while my Mom and I used the last two FPs for Space.

Even though we were in the FP line, it seemed to take forever. I tried to take a few pics, but as you all know by now, my camera hates the indoors!

So our last go round on Space Moutain was great, it was sad though knowing that was our last ride of the trip

We came back to find my Dad totally surrounded, it had gotten crowded very quickly! It was starting to get dark so it was almost time for MSEP to start. We passed the time by people watching (c’mon we all do it) and I took some pics of the beautiful castle all lit up.

I had actually seen MSEP before on my trip last summer and was kind of bummed they hadn’t brought Spectro back, because I’ve never seen that one! But the parade was still great of course, and my parents agreed that I had snagged us amazing seats!

After the parade was over, Wishes was about to start in 20 minutes. We still hadn't eaten dinner yet so where would we go?

Awesome to see you got to ride Space a few more times, but I feel so bad for that CM trying to tell the lady that her FP wasn't ready. It's really not that hard to understand Fast Passes. That was one thing my family didn't have to worry about on our FIRST TRIP!

I love your pictures of the castle all lit up and MSEP, so pretty. I really need to get my camera to work so it can take pictures of a parade CORRECTLY hahaha... maybe I'll just have to leave it on flash :/ And I'm sorry you never got to see SpectroMagic before, that was really a great parade, I'm really hoping they bring it back, I prefer it over MSEP. I liked the music more and it was great to watch before IllumiNations they really flowed into the other and it would work even better with The Magic, Memories and You. Sorry if I'm ranting to much, I tend to do that LOL

I have been having a severe case of Dis-pression lately which is why I've been gone so long. Coming here was just to darn painful! But like you, the pressure of school starting again is pushing me to finish this. I've actually got the whole report typed out and everything, it's just a matter of copying and pasting it into the board.

Yeah it stinks that the CMs have to deal with people like that, I bet it's frustrating. Some people just don't pay attention though!

Yep I'm here already! It's definitely going to be awkward! My school has this thing called welcome week, so all of us freshman are here for a week before classes to get used to the campus, meet people, etc. It's been crazy busy but a lot of fun too! But yeah it will be awkward, try to meet people though, that's been the hardest part for me so far!

Haha yeah it was fun being a solo traveler for awhile! Thanks I do love those MSEP pictures, they actually turned out pretty good!

Yay! I know I've been wondering where you went! And thanks, yeah it's been hard keeping up with it but I hate when I don't finish things! I know what you mean about it being painful coming here. I know I won't make it back to the World probably until I do the DCP, which who knows when that will be! But yeah that's what I did for my report too, it's easier to just copy and paste updates when things get busy!

April 1, 2011- MK (Part 5)

After the MSEP was over, we figured we had about 20 minutes till Wishes started and we were all starving for some food! Well it was was a madhouse getting out of there, but my Dad and I managed to make it over to Cosmic Ray’s to grab some food. We got 2 orders of the turkey bacon veggie wraps, left, and as we were almost back to our spot, the lights cut out. UGH! I had no idea the Magic, Memories, and You thing started early before Wishes!!

My Dad and I somehow managed to find my Mom, who had to give up our spot since everyone was standing to watch Wishes We ate our dinner (the wraps were SO good, sorry I didn’t get a pic though!) and watched the MM&You show which was so so cool.

My Mom and I both loved the rocket ship part, it’s so amazing how realistic it looked! We both thought the top of the castle was about to fly away! lol

Wishes then started right after and it was great. I had seen the Summer Nightastic version last year and for some reason I thought Wishes was the same thing, so I was kinda surprised when there was no POTC part! lol (Truth be told I actually like the Summer Nightastic version I saw last year better, the part with the POTC theme was simply amazing!)

Wishes was still good though, and I got some pretty good pictures.

After it was over, I knew we had to leave MK was open till 12 that night but we were going to have to wake up at 4:00am to leave the next morning

On the way out however, I mentioned to my parents that there was one thing I had really wanted to get: the Mickey graduation ears!! Earlier in the week we saw them in the ASMovies gift shop and my Dad said “Oh we have to get her these!!” While my Mom said “It’s just a waste of money” Lol, so we stopped in the Emporium where I had seen a whole bin full of them earlier. Well that bin was now empty… We found a very nice CM who went to go check in the back for them. My Mom waited for the CM to come back while my Dad and I made a bathroom stop before we left. We found my Mom and she was holding a bag with my graduation ears That CM rocked, I don’t remember her name but she definitely made my last few moments in MK perfect!

So after that, we boarded our bus back to ASMo. and went straight to bed. I was so sad to be leaving though and it was hard to sleep knowing I’d be leaving and probably not going back for a long time

Sorry to hear you had to leave early for early departure the next morning, but you got your graduation Mickey Ears! That was so nice of the CM to go and find them for you. I've probably said this a bazillion times, but CMs are probably what truly makes a day at Disney really special when they go out of their way for guests And I hope you get to go back soon, even though you say a long time, but just always ALWAYS try to be thinking of ways to sneak in a Disney trip to your yearly routine

Yes the CMs really are so amazing! That was like the one last souvenir I wanted before we left, so that CM was so awesome to go find them for me

Haha yeah I know I really keep hoping I can go back soon, I enter sweepstakes almost every day Besides the sweepstakes though, I talked to my advisor here at my college and he said I could probably do the DCP before my junior or senior year So I'm definitely excited I'll be able to do that kind of soon!!
