Larger women in bikinis?

Did I ever tell you you need to think like me?
I'm asking you questions based on what you choose to post here, that is all. If you aren't willing to discuss the things you post, then why are you a member of a discussion board?

You are entitled to your opinion, and I'm entitled to think your opinion is whack (for lack of a better term) and question you about it.

Above, you say you aren't passing judgment, but all your posts here about overweight women in bikinis speak otherwise. Especially those Army wives you mentioned. ;)
My opinions are "whack" who is the judgmental one now!! Thanks for helping me prove my point about you and you attitude that only your opinions are valid. So post away with all your so called questions about my opinions I am done responding to you because IMOP it is just not worth it.

Thanks LSmith! Like I've said before, I know I'm a celebrity in my own mind, but when other posters have to stalk past posts of mine to "call me out", well it just feeds into my ego. So cute and charming of you to do that.

With relation to THIS thread, I said that the Judgey McJudgerson's are out in full force. No where did I say that I never, ever, ever, in the history of everdom have ever judged here on the DIS. So let's keep it 100, and not get it twisted. You may want to stay in your lane, because I will own my behavior.

I don't care what people wear regardless of their size. Not going 'nuts' over fat acceptance. It's just that: I. Don't. Care.

LSmith you and I can agree on two things: weight is a touchy subject, and I'm not really sure the point of the creation of this thread either.

:headache:

Oh PLEASE! Dont start acting like it is all about health now. You are just mentioning health, as you are now back pedaling.
Prior to this post, you were all about how gross and what an eyesore larger women are in bikinis.

I am pretty sure that is belittling. Dont you? Your words were cruel.

These are all quotes by YOU, donaldlovesdaisy, none of which show your now false concern for health:

"Sorry but it is gross and I cringe every year:"

"if you are a size 10 with a giant muffin top then yes I think your bikini days should be over!"

"I am embarrassed for women who let it all hang out when they should not"

"if you have fat rolls keep them covered"

"it is kind of hard to ignore huge eyesore like that"

"Why set your kid up for failure like that in public?"

"What is shameful is not letting someone know when maybe they should be a little more reserved when it comes to wearing a bathing suit and encouraging them to go out and make a fool of themselves"

"don't cry when you end up on the people of wAl mart or fat girls in bikinis!"

I am not back peddling !! I will openly admit to anyone that being over weight is not cute, adorable , beautiful , sexy or any of those other adjectives . It is UNHEALTHY and people should not ever be encouraged to stay that way. I feel like I have my on little DIS boards stalker but I am not sure I am flattered.

It is UNHEALTHY and people should not ever be encouraged to stay that way.

So you belittle people you think are "unhealthy" by saying the following?

"gross, I cringe every, giant muffin top, I am embarrassed for women, fat rolls, huge eyesore, failure, shameful, make a fool of themselves, don't cry when you end up on the people of Wal Mart

Please tell me how your words are helping? They are only hurtful and quite mean.

Do you think your above words are cruel?

But the question on this thread isnt about how unhealthy overweight people are. Why would you care how unhealthy someone is???? You made it clear you think they look horrible in bikini's and shouldnt be allowed to wear them.

Im pretty sure overweight folks dont need to hear a lecture on how unhealthy they are. Theyre probably already well aware of that. Although, not all overweight people are unhealthy. Some are in perfect health!! Im not sure why youre emphasizing the health issue. Why do you feel so strongly about that issue? Who cares if theyre unhealthy? Its their body, not mine. It seems as thou youre using the "health factor" as an excuse to lecture them.

Is that what has you so upset? Bless your heart, I don't need to go back and specifically search out that particular DISer's past posts. I think anyone who's been around for a while on these boards, can pretty much say that yes, that particular poster has an issue (or strong opinion), about overweight people in general.

The post where I mentioned sock puppets of said poster was supposed to be funny, but not everyone gets my sense of humor. And you know what? That's is ok by me.

I've thoroughly enjoyed this tete-a-tete with you LSmith. You may want to loosen up your bikini strings a bit, and don't read so much into my posts!

I'm all for women feeling good about themselves but that does not mean you have to look ridiculous doing it. I just say have a little respect for yourself. Men have no choice. My husband always feels funny taking his shirt off. At least women have options. I just think women should use them. I know myself I don't want any person staring at me. I'm sure I could guess what they are thinking. That someone just lied to you.

Like I said before I don't walk up to strangers and tell them any of the above!

Listen, if you are going to dish it, you need to learn how to take it.

I have only brought it up because 2 posters on here have been insistent on why I feel that over weight women should not wear bikinis! Like I said earlier I don't think they should but I don't care if they do however if I am directly asked about their appearance in such a bathing suit I would not sugar coat and tell the I think they look great when in fact I think it is unflattering and not cute at all! I think by lying to them and telling them no you look great only would aid to them staying over weight which is not a healthy choice!

Like I said before I don't walk up to strangers and tell them any of the above!

I am commenting on how you said:

Oh and before you even start I am also not saying we should belittle overweight people or bully them but to educate them and help them make better lifestyle chocies so that they can become a healthy weight.

You are claiming that overweight people shouldn't be belittled, but your words ( "gross, I cringe, giant muffin top, I am embarrassed for women, fat rolls, huge eyesore, failure, shameful, make a fool of themselves, don't cry when you end up on the people of Wal Mart") were VERY belittling.

You are talking out of both sides of your mouth. Don't you see that?

Then why does he? He should just buy some rashguard shirts and wear them. My son is a competitive swimmer and he wears them when he isn't racing; he finds applying sunblock all over to be a PITA. My DH wears them, too: he prefers the kind with the front half-zipper, as he has issues with tight neck openings.

If you're in the sun, light colors are best, but they are really easy to find for men. (Rash guard shirts for women are harder to find, especially if you are plus-sized. Land's End has some, however, including a nice one that has a full-front zipper.)

A jerk. Sadly, there are lots of them around lately.

I am not interested in giving jerks that kind of power. They don;t get to control me--and I think it is sad to encourage others to dress to make the jerks of the world happy. It is very much a blame the victim kind of thing on a small scale.

Really? I don't see that. Here are several photos of plus sized women in bikinis, that all came up near the top of the page in a google search. Do you really get that feel from them? And if so, you don't get that same feel from skinny women in bikinis? :confused3

Not all bigger girls are firm. There's a line somewhere.

With that 5th grade comeback, I must say, you have me quaking in my size 6, two piece bikini, Dahling!!!

I'll be sure to remember that though, thanks! :thumbsup2

Have a fabulous rest of the day! Kiss-kiss.

Again and this is the last time I am responding to you I am not stopping strangers on the beach or on the street and making fun of them ! So stop trying to make it out like I am some fat bashing bully! I responded to the thread and gave my opinions on why I am not a fan of over weight people in bikinis these are my opinions and others will differ I never said they were words to live by!

Good thing that you don't judge people ever (looking at your previous posts).

It's ok to judge on the DIS but NOT when it concerns weight. Disers go nuts over fat acceptance. Probably, because like most of America, the DIS is full of overweight or obese people. It's a touchy subject.

Still can't figure out why the OP started it if not to pot stir.

I believe I told you why I started it. I was interested in people's opinions because in my experience it seems like people differ on their views of obese men and swim attire and obese women and swim attire.

So stop trying to make it out like I am some fat bashing bully!

But yet, your words ("gross, I cringe, giant muffin top, I am embarrassed for women, fat rolls, huge eyesore, failure, shameful, make a fool of themselves, don't cry when you end up on the people of Wal Mart") were indeed fat bashing and, yes, the words of a bully.

I am not making you out to be anything. I am using your own belittling words. Words that you felt comfortable enough to use concerning overweight people. Words of a bully.

You should NEVER call another human being a "huge eyesore" or "shameful" based on their looks. Perhaps if they hurt others, but to say someone is a "failure" because they look overweight to you? That is wrong.

Maybe you need to be educated?

Oh i see. I get what youre saying.

And sorry, I didnt read every single post on this thread. :surfweb: maybe I should next time? Lol.

I know what you mean about sugar coating things. Im not the type either. If someone doesnt look good (only when asked) I will tell them the honest truth.
