Thankfully I didn't have to sell my house but yes the kids didn't like losing cable or going down in phones and ect. but it is life they will get over it. Some times we as parents have to make these tough decisions and we have to explain reality to our kids. Plus I rally don;t think that her kids will really throw a fit over having to move as they have a really nice big house and down grading isn't going to that bad! sheesh! you'd think they have to live on the streets and get rid of everything

I'm glad you did not have to down grade your home. I don't think Kate could sell that house without taking a huge loss on it...why should she if she can work & keep it.

I'm having flashbacks to their whole war of tabloid words from last year! Jon said this, Kate said this, blah blah blah.

I'm still amazed at the amount of $ Jon is paying though. How do 8 small children require $240,000 a year? Good lord, my dad didn't pay anywhere near that for my sister and I when my parents divorced. What is all that $ going towards? Child support seems pretty self explanatory...money that supports the children. What are the Gosselin kids doing that requires $22,000 a month? Tuition for school? It's ridiculous.

ETA: Holy cow, the close up of her outfit from last night...Doris, let's bleach our eyes again!! LOL!

The child support in PA is a formula that is used. They take what Jon is making & out comes the #. It is also based on what Kate is making. I think he can only go back every 2 years to change this or custody...unless the law has changed.

I had a friend who was getting $425.00 a week for 1 child & her ex was not making the kind of money Jon was pulling in.

Edited to add: I saw that when I was looking for what their next week's cover is going to be because when I was flipping through the channels this evening I passed by a channel (E? The Insider?) that showed the tabloid covers for next week in the background and wow, are they going to be harsh on Kate. One even says something like "How Kate Ruined the Kids" or "Kate Ruins the Kids". Wonder if this is part of the plan to get the sympathy votes going for her on DWTS?

I don't know if its true but I always got the impression that Jon didn't visit the kids much after the NY apartment break-in/moving to Utah. I know he recently has been with the kids a lot but I don't know, I just feel that this new lawsuit is all about money.

Oh my goodness I hope that this isn't part of a plan like that. Hmm..or maybe it's to encourage Jon to go ahead with his custody battle. After all, it's in the mags best interests to keep people going on these two. If there is a custody battle, they'll want to get them on the fronts to sell mags.

On last nites show, the ESPN girl said she gets along with Kate. But then it showed both of them on their cell phones. The ESPN girl says, they text each other all the time.

I think with Kate practicing at home, and not at the studio where everyone else is, she is sort of pulled away from the dynamics of the group. Everyone else has trailers and Kate is staying in a hotel room. How come she don't have a trailer.

The usmagazine article seems more of an opinion, that a true statement.

I thought the little info they showed on DWTS about how they get along was nice.

I wonder what Pam's demands were, that is in small letters on the bottom of the cover.

I haven't missed seeing these mags at all. Apparently though, Kate on the cover still draws them in.

Maybe since she is only there for 2-3 nights, it's cheaper to get a hotel room, than rent a trailer? Or because she has Steve and they would have to get him a room anyway?

Jimmy Fallon may be one of the most unfunny people I have ever seen on my television set.

That being said, he went quite a ways to redeem himself in that clip. Until I saw him doing his impression of her dancing, I never really made the connection between Kate on DWTS and Peter Boyle in Young Frankenstein.

Kate talked to Tony like she did Jon and he left her standing in the studio ("I don't understand" (cry, wipe, cry, wipe, etc). They made up "alot of people in my life have left me"(hug it out ).
They danced really badly week 2 to Elton John's I'm Still Standing. Kate didn't know the steps but just kept bouncing. They were safe the next night and Kate screamed like a banshee and nearly took Tony out. Kate's expressions were very, very unusual. Bye bye Shannen

Tony tweets "Paso will be great" Real life Paso= Kate "dances" to Paparazzi for therapy after acting coach in PA determines she's backed up (or was it bottled up?)

Kate is safe, Buzz is out. The hair and makeup people surely were scolded and Kate looked good on results night 2.

Jon is filing a missing mother kind of lawsuit.

there's been a distinct difference of opinion between the dancers and the show staffers. The dancers seem to think Kate's fine .. it's the show staff that's the sources in all the behind the scenes articles.

I got a 12-week trial of Us Weekly from Amazon, for buying something in electronics. I've enjoyed it immensely, Kate or no Kate. LOLOL. I'd never buy it, but for free? Love it!

'Sources' tell me nothing. Heck, even on the few times they have given names, it's often been someone who hasn't had three words with Kate or Jon.
The people behind the camera's should be as careful as the dancers, since they too need their professional jobs.

As for the dancers, I would think if they start saying something about the other dancers, most would think it was sour grapes. Although I don't think many of the better dancers need to bother talking smack about Kate..she can't last past next week, with the two-part judging, can she?

I saw this too. Not very flattering for Kate. Geez, this is one of many articles that claim the staff is sick of her. I wonder how that can be when she's spending the majority of her rehearsal time at home in PA? I wouldn't be one bit surprised if the shows producers were releasing this stuff to keep Kate on the most wanted list! They're probably thanking their lucky stars that Kate agreed to do DWTS, the show is getting so much publicity just because she's on.
